Young Shakespeare: "Down By The River" | Neil Young Archives + Comment of the Moment

In February, Neil Young announced the upcoming "Young Shakespeare" release.

Writing in Times Contrarian | NYA, Neil Young discusses the unreleased album and film titled "Young Shakespeare" from January 1971 at the Shakespeare Theater in Stratford, Connecticut as "the earliest known film of any of my performances."

Neil Young Concert Ticket Stub
1971-01-22, Shakespeare Theatre, Stratford, Connecticut, USA

via Sugar Mountain

While release plans remain uncertain, Neil tantalizingly teases that maybe he'll pair "Young Shakespeare" with the 50th Anniversary release of "After The Goldrush" later this year as a double record.

Here's the Comment of the Moment from "Please, Do NOT Support Thrasher's Wheat" by Dan:
Just finished watching and listening to Down By The River from Young Shakespeare at NYA, and was completely transfixed by Neil’s vocals. This performance is a remarkable example of a artist truly in the zone, and you can feel it in your soul when that happens.

Music has always been my co conspirator throughout my life, and is responsible for most of what I know, and how I think. Music is a healer and a educator, as well as a pure form of entertainment. During these difficult days I have aloud music to keep me grounded as I navigate the challenge of processing what has been happening around this beautiful world of ours. Knowing that so many people are suffering, not only from the virus but with the emotional effects of something so completely out of our control.

The one thing that we can all do to help the situation is doing nothing. Stay at home and keep your distance. Usually when troubles arrive, we take action, and look for tangible things we can do to help, but with this virus we are told to stay home and wait. This can take a real toll on one’s nervous system, creating anxiety and depression and a sense of helplessness. If anyone reading this is feeling this way I encourage you to turn to your favorite music to get through this. The healing power of music should never be underestimated and if you go to NYA right now and listen to this perfect version of Down By The River you will understand what I mean. Tap into Neil’s voice and close your eyes and let the melody carry you. You have the opportunity to experience the power of music to heal your heart and soul right now.

Peace
Thanks much Dan.

Right. Music = The Cure. Not to sound naive here, but stress makes one's immune system weak and vulnerable. So de-stress and stay safe and healthy everyone.

Keep Calm, No Fear, Shut It Down, & Keep on Rockin'!

Please, Do NOT Support Thrasher's Wheat

Support Family Farmers & Farm Aid

That's right. Please, we ask that you do NOT support Thrasher's Wheat at this time.

Support Comfort + Mercy. And always support Love and Only Love.

We here at Thrasher's Wheat are just fine. Thrasher & Thrashette have all the essentials that we need and would prefer you to direct any contributions to your local organizations until the CV-19 crisis subsides. We can also factually report that we have zero cases in our household, zero in our neighborhood, zero reports from colleagues, friends and their extended families across multiple continents. Nor any TW readers or any reports via Rust/HH communities. Just maybe rusties are just the lucky ones?

After offering comfort, mercy and love, we suggest you support your local groups and national groups such as Farm Aid, which help keep farmers growing food for our families.

Also, try and support your local musical groups, venues, and staff and their fund raising, if you can.

Remaining cautiously optimistic that we will all break on thru to the other side.

The Unfurling of The Spring Ferns @ TW HQ

It's Spring, the time of re-birth and renewal. A new season for growth.

So don't spread fear. Turn off the news and build a garden. Share love and only love.

This too shall pass... as we have always seen. Stay Strong. Stay Positive.

ANALYSIS: Bob Dylan's "Murder Most Foul": 17 Minutes of The TRUTH

Like nearly every single Bob Dylan fan, we spent much of yesterday repeat listening to "Murder Most Foul" and the song's 17 minutes of The TRUTH.

About as pure of 17 minutes of the truth anyone of this generation will ever find, we are beyond stunned while deliriously delighted about what this song means to us going forward all together.

But what does it mean? And why now? Critical questions that must be answered and we will try our best to lay it all down as best we can.

The full lyrics of Bob Dylan's "Murder Most Foul" can be found at Lyrics to Bob Dylan's "Murder Most Foul" + 74 song references + review links + sub-title lyrics video.

But here's the SPOILER ALERT upfront. The song explicitly details who did NOT kill U.S. President John F. Kennedy and obliquely references the true plotters (Wolf/Wink Man/Secret Service's code name for "W": TimberWolf a.k.a. "George") of "The American Coup of 1963" (which we explained in detail back on the 50th anniversary in 2013).

With a running time of 16:56 -- 4 seconds short of 17 minutes -- the song is pure TRUTH for those with open eyes and minds. Naming names. Giving dates, locations, colors and players. Thank you Bob! Glad to have you playing for our home's teams.

"Shakespearean" barely begins to describe the magnitude of this epic tale that Bob has gifted all of us with. The song takes its title from Shakespeare's play "Hamlet". In the play, Hamlet encounters his father’s ghost, who urges revenge:

"Murder most foul, as in the best it is;
But this most foul, strange and unnatural."

"This song is a masterpiece." ~~Neil Young
Times-Contrarian | Neil Young Archives

"Then they blew off his head while he was still in the car
Shot down like a dog in broad daylight"

U.S. President John F. Kennedy

DEVELOPING - CHECK BACK

(NOTE: We're drafting history in real time during these strange days. But here was our initial reaction after 1st listen yesterday on Comment of the Moment: Neil Young's Fireside Sessions #2 | NYA in response to the highly esteemed Mr Scotsman, who shared his thoughts on 2 of our 3 favorite subjects: Bob & Neil. Scotsman's insightful contributions -- once again demonstrate that Neil Young fans/rusties are some of the most knowledgeable, astute and articulate music fans out there. And we're honored and humbled to have folks like Mr Scotsman contribute here to our little TW blog.)

Whether Dylan's song "Murder Most Foul" is a "masterpiece" or "genius" is secondary to the song being the single most important artistic release statement thus far in the 21st century.

The Day The Music Died: 50 Years Ago Today and Why It Still Matters
- Friday, November 22, 2013

U.S. President John F. Kennedy - Berlin, Germany, 1963

There are many out there who undoubtedly do not fully grasp the true significance of what happened in Dallas, Texas on November 22nd, 1963. Nor -- sadly -- wish to.

For to understand the truth of Dylan's "Murder Most Foul" is to understand the truth of what happened that day in Dallas in 1963. And therefore, it is to understand the truth of virtually everything in the history of the American 20th century. JFK's assassination (a murder most foul, if ever) is literally and metaphorically "The Rosetta Stone" to untangling what has happened there, what is happening here, and what will happen later. Profound doesn't begin to come close as an understatement of the century.

If you understand what really happened in Dallas, Texas on November 22nd, 1963, then you can begin to understand what really happened in Memphis on April 4, 1968. And what really happened in Los Angeles on June 6, 1968. And what really happened in Kent, Ohio on May 4, 1970. And what really happened in New York and Virginia on September 11, 2001 ... and more importantly ... why. And by whom and incredibly, exactly how the "magic" worked.[UPDATED]

Freedom Fighters
All Dead. Coincidence? Or Is There A Pattern?

"How long shall they kill our prophets
While we stand aside and look?
"

(And don't even try and get us started about what really happened in Los Angeles, California, on August 5, 1962. Or New York City on February 21, 1965. Or eastern Mediterranean sea on 8 June 1967. Or New York City on 8 December 1980. Or Miami, Florida on 11 May 1981. Or Oklahoma City on April 19, 1995. Or Paris, France on 31 August 1997). Or Martha's Vineyard on July 16, 1999. On and on. See the pattern yet?!)

The real truth is out there -- if one dares to confront it. Understandably, we know that most can not handle the truth. It is a sad and horrible truth, but until there is a mass awakening to these truths, these atrocities will continue.

The conspiracy is the conspiracy. The reality and dream of The Matrix exists.

"Put your head out the window; let the good times roll
There's a party going on behind the Grassy Knoll
Stack up the bricks, pour the cement
Don't say Dallas don't love you, Mr. President"

Not convinced? Here's a 2:00 YouTube showing JFK’s Secret Service protection being waved away from his car, and the perplexed reaction of at least one Special Agent.

American dream. How could something so good, go bad, so fast?

Here's "how". A very good overview on the "what" is contained in Oliver Stone on 50th Anniversary of JFK Assassination & the Untold History of the United States. A very good overview on the "why" is contained in JFK's Vision of Peace: RFK Jr. on John F. Kennedy's Attempts to End the Cold War | Rolling Stone.

King of Hearts

“There is a Secret Society ritual that is ‘the killing of the King.’

The national leader of the people is only a figurehead and has no real power. Power lies behind the scenes within dark secrets. Others pull the strings of the politician puppets. If an upstart, politician puppet makes waves or rocks the boat or doesn’t play ball…..that puppet gets eliminated. It is why Caesar was killed. It is why Kennedy was killed. If you disturb the real power structure, you can be targeted for removal. Such ‘assassinations’ demonstrate to the world who has the real power; it is a bloody statement of who is really in charge; and the truth is our secret rulers control from dark shadows.

(There is a reason the Ace is higher than the King in a deck of cards. The Ace represents the Secret Societies that truly run the show).”

U.S. President John F. Kennedy - 1961
The President and the Press: Address before the American Newspaper Publishers Association
Waldorf-Astoria Hotel, New York City, April 27, 1961

Addressing the American Newspaper Publishers Association at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City on April 27, 1961, U.S. President John F. Kennedy said at the peak of the Cold War's Cuban Missile Crisis:
"The very word "secrecy" is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and to secret proceedings. We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the dangers which are cited to justify it.
...
For we are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies primarily on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence--on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day. It is a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific and political operations.

Its preparations are concealed, not published. Its mistakes are buried, not headlined. Its dissenters are silenced, not praised. No expenditure is questioned, no rumor is printed, no secret is revealed. It conducts the Cold War, in short, with a war-time discipline no democracy would ever hope or wish to match.

Even today, there is little value in opposing the threat of a closed society by imitating its arbitrary restrictions. Even today, there is little value in insuring the survival of our nation if our traditions do not survive with it. And there is very grave danger that an announced need for increased security will be seized upon by those anxious to expand its meaning to the very limits of official censorship and concealment. That I do not intend to permit to the extent that it is in my control. And no official of my Administration, whether his rank is high or low, civilian or military, should interpret my words here tonight as an excuse to censor the news, to stifle dissent, to cover up our mistakes or to withhold from the press and the public the facts they deserve to know."
"[We have an] obligation to inform and alert the American people -- to make certain that they possess all the facts that they need, and understand them as well -- the perils, the prospects, the purposes of our program and the choices that we face.

Without debate, without criticism, no Administration and no country can succeed -- and no republic can survive. That is why the Athenian lawmaker Solon decreed it a crime for any citizen to shrink from controversy. And that is why our press was protected by the First Amendment-- the only business in America specifically protected by the Constitution -- not primarily to amuse and entertain, not to emphasize the trivial and the sentimental, not to simply "give the public what it wants" -- but to inform, to arouse, to reflect, to state our dangers and our opportunities, to indicate our crises and our choices, to lead, mold, educate and sometimes even anger public opinion."
"And so it is to the printing press -- to the recorder of man's deeds, the keeper of his conscience, the courier of his news -- that we look for strength and assistance, confident that with your help man will be what he was born to be: free and independent."

Full lyrics to Bob Dylan's "Murder Most Foul"

It was a dark day in Dallas, November '63
A day that will live on in infamy
President Kennedy was a-ridin' high
Good day to be livin' and a good day to die
Being led to the slaughter like a sacrificial lamb
He said, "Wait a minute, boys, you know who I am?"
"Of course we do, we know who you are!"
Then they blew off his head while he was still in the car
Shot down like a dog in broad daylight
Was a matter of timing and the timing was right
You got unpaid debts, we've come to collect
We're gonna kill you with hatred, without any respect
We'll mock you and shock you and we'll put it in your face
We've already got someone here to take your place
The day they blew out the brains of the king
Thousands were watching, no one saw a thing
It happened so quickly, so quick, by surprise
Right there in front of everyone's eyes
Greatest magic trick ever under the sun
Perfectly executed, skillfully done
Wolfman, oh Wolfman, oh Wolfman, howl
Rub-a-dub-dub, it's a murder most foul

[Verse 2]
Hush, little children, you'll understand
The Beatles are comin', they're gonna hold your hand
Slide down the banister, go get your coat
Ferry 'cross the Mersey and go for the throat
There's three bums comin' all dressed in rags
Pick up the pieces and lower the flags
I'm goin' to Woodstock, it's the Aquarian Age
Then I'll go over to Altamont and sit near the stage
Put your head out the window, let the good times roll
There's a party going on behind the Grassy Knoll
Stack up the bricks, pour the cement
Don't say Dallas don't love you, Mr. President
Put your foot in the tank and then step on the gas
Try to make it to the triple underpass
Blackface singer, whiteface clown
Better not show your faces after the sun goes down
Up in the red light district, they've got cop on the beat
Living in a nightmare on Elm Street
When you're down on Deep Ellum, put your money in your shoe
Don't ask what your country can do for you
Cash on the barrelhead, money to burn
Dealey Plaza, make a left-hand turn
I'm going down to the crossroads, gonna flag a ride
The place where faith, hope, and charity died
Shoot him while he runs, boy, shoot him while you can
See if you can shoot the invisible man
Goodbye, Charlie! Goodbye, Uncle Sam!
Frankly, Miss Scarlett, I don't give a damn
What is the truth, and where did it go?
Ask Oswald and Ruby, they oughta know
"Shut your mouth," said a wise old owl
Business is business, and it's a murder most foul

[Verse 3]
Tommy, can you hear me? I'm the Acid Queen
I'm riding in a long, black Lincoln limousine
Ridin' in the back seat next to my wife
Headed straight on in to the afterlife
I'm leaning to the left, I got my head in her lap
Hold on, I've been led into some kind of a trap
Where we ask no quarter, and no quarter do we give
We're right down the street, from the street where you live
They mutilated his body and they took out his brain
What more could they do? They piled on the pain
But his soul was not there where it was supposed to be at
For the last fifty years they've been searchin' for that
Freedom, oh freedom, freedom over me
I hate to tell you, mister, but only dead men are free
Send me some lovin', then tell me no lie
Throw the gun in the gutter and walk on by
Wake up, little Susie, let's go for a drive
Cross the Trinity River, let's keep hope alive
Turn the radio on, don't touch the dials
Parkland Hospital, only six more miles
You got me dizzy, Miss Lizzy, you filled me with lead
That magic bullet of yours has gone to my head
I'm just a patsy like Patsy Cline
Never shot anyone from in front or behind
I've blood in my eye, got blood in my ear
I'm never gonna make it to the new frontier
Zapruder's film I seen night before
Seen it thirty-three times, maybe more
It's vile and deceitful, it's cruel and it's mean
Ugliest thing that you ever have seen
They killed him once and they killed him twice
Killed him like a human sacrifice
The day that they killed him, someone said to me, "Son
The age of the Antichrist has just only begun"
Air Force One comin' in through the gate
Johnson sworn in at 2:38
Let me know when you decide to throw in the towel
It is what it is, and it's murder most foul

[Verse 4]
What's new, pussycat? What'd I say?
I said the soul of a nation been torn away
And it's beginning to go into a slow decay
And that it's thirty-six hours past Judgment Day
Wolfman Jack, he's speaking in tongues
He's going on and on at the top of his lungs
Play me a song, Mr. Wolfman Jack
Play it for me in my long Cadillac
Play me that "Only the Good Die Young"
Take me to the place Tom Dooley was hung
Play "St. James Infirmary" and the Court of King James
If you want to remember, you better write down the names
Play Etta James, too, play "I'd Rather Go Blind"
Play it for the man with the telepathic mind
Play John Lee Hooker, play "Scratch My Back"
Play it for that strip club owner named Jack
Guitar Slim going down slow
Play it for me and for Marilyn Monroe

[Verse 5]
Play "Please Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood"
Play it for the First Lady, she ain't feeling any good
Play Don Henley, play Glenn Frey
Take it to the limit and let it go by
Play it for Carl Wilson, too
Looking far, far away down Gower Avenue
Play tragedy, play "Twilight Time"
Take me back to Tulsa to the scene of the crime
Play another one and "Another One Bites the Dust"
Play "The Old Rugged Cross" and "In God We Trust"
Ride the pink horse down that long, lonesome road
Stand there and wait for his head to explode
Play "Mystery Train" for Mr. Mystery
The man who fell down dead like a rootless tree
Play it for the reverend, play it for the pastor
Play it for the dog that got no master
Play Oscar Peterson, play Stan Getz
Play "Blue Sky," play Dickey Betts
Play Art Pepper, Thelonious Monk
Charlie Parker and all that junk
All that junk and "All That Jazz"
Play something for the Birdman of Alcatraz
Play Buster Keaton, play Harold Lloyd
Play Bugsy Siegel, play Pretty Boy Floyd
Play the numbers, play the odds
Play "Cry Me a River" for the Lord of the gods
Play Number nine, play Number six
Play it for Lindsey and Stevie Nicks
Play Nat King Cole, play "Nature Boy"
Play "Down in the Boondocks" for Terry Malloy
Play "It Happened One Night" and "One Night of Sin"
There's twelve million souls that are listening in
Play "Merchant of Venice", play "Merchants of Death"
Play "Stella by Starlight" for Lady Macbeth
Don't worry, Mr. President, help's on the way
Your brothers are comin', there'll be hell to pay
Brothers? What brothers? What's this about hell?
Tell them, "We're waiting, keep coming," we'll get them as well
Love Field is where his plane touched down
But it never did get back up off the ground
Was a hard act to follow, second to none
They killed him on the altar of the rising sun
Play "Misty" for me and "That Old Devil Moon"
Play "Anything Goes" and "Memphis in June"
Play "Lonely at the Top" and "Lonely Are the Brave"
Play it for Houdini spinning around in his grave
Play Jelly Roll Morton, play "Lucille"
Play "Deep in a Dream", and play "Driving Wheel"
Play "Moonlight Sonata" in F-sharp
And "A Key to the Highway" for the king on the harp
Play "Marching Through Georgia" and "Dumbarton's Drums"
Play darkness and death will come when it comes
Play "Love Me or Leave Me" by the great Bud Powell
Play "The Blood-Stained Banner", play "Murder Most Foul"

"Captain Kennedy" & Neil Young's "Hawks & Doves": Which Side Will You Choose?

Which Side Will You Choose?
The "Blue Side" or "The Red Side"?
Neil Young's 'Hawks & Doves' (1980)
The CHOICE Is Yours ... Or Is It?

143/1-0-7

Earlier this month, the album "Hawks & Doves" was the Album of the Week on Neil Young's Archives. Neil Young commented that "Hawks & Doves" reveals him as "A redneck and a hippie, all rolled into one album."

Released in November 1980, Neil Young's album Hawks & Doves was his tenth studio album and featured the enigmatic song "Captain Kennedy".

Thematically speaking, the 1st side of the album Hawks & Doves is the "Doves" side, with the 2nd side known as the "Hawks" side. The "Doves" side has the "softer/hippie" songs like "Little Wing" and "Captain Kennedy", while the "Hawks" side has the "harder/redneck" songs like "Stayin' Power" and "Union Man". Also, the "Doves" songs are on the blue-label side and "Hawks" songs are on the red label side (see images above).

The "Hawks" Side #2
Neil Young's "Hawks & Doves"

Subsequently, we have learned the following about the song "Captain Kennedy" from Brian:
"Neil Young's song, Captain Kennedy, was inspired by the mariner's life of my grandfather Captain Louis Kenedy.

Neil Young (along w Jimmy Buffet) met my grandfather in Nassau, Bahamas in the early 70's and loosely chronicles one of his life events, the sinking of his schooner (Wawaloam) by a German U-Boat (U-86) August 6, 1941. In all, Captain Kenedy skippered 10 sailing vessels all while making a living hauling cargo between the Caribbean and the Canadian Maritimes. If interested, please reference Joe Russell's book "The Last Schoonerman" which chronicles his life at sea and the ships he captained."

More on Lou Kenedy | Wikipedia.

So, why must we choose between the "Blue Side" or "The Red Side"?

"I've got the "Hawks & Doves" blues
Don't know which one to choose
There's really something to lose,
With these "Hawks & Doves" blues.

I went and played too hard,
And I lost my mind.
Oh, these "Hawks & Doves" blues
Leave me a heavy one.

My songs are all so long
And my words are all so sad
Why must I choose
Between the best things I ever had
."

(Modified lyrics of Neil Young's 1974 song Love/Art Blues.)

Again, why must we choose between the "Blue Side" or "The Red Side" or "Between the best things we ever had?" ANSWER: We don't have to choose. It's all one album. Don't fall for divide and conquer. Play both sides. There are no winners or losers. Only illusions.

Quite coincidentally (there are NO coincidences), Neil Young became a U.S. citizen in January 2020. See CITIZEN NEIL: Neil Young Becomes A U.S. Citizen.

Comment of the Moment: Neil Young's Fireside Sessions #2 | NYA

Here is the Comment of the Moment on NOW PLAYING: Neil Young's Fireside Sessions #2 | NYA by Scotsman:
Bob Dylan casually reminding us all why we care today by generously releasing a very interesting 17-minute track called "Murder Most Foul". It feels like something he's really gone to town with and, on first listen, sort of comes over like a cross between a documentary, a speech and a music playlist set to instrumentation. As with everything he comes up with, it is most certainly worth a listen.

Onto Mr Young.

I'll start with one of my usual cantankerous observations (read to the end before getting upset).

The record-breaking viewing numbers of the Fireside Sessions counts for very little: in fact, you can put a video on YouTube called "THE ULTIMATE FAILS COMPILATION" and fairly straightforwardly get over two hundred million views (yes, this video exists: no, I didn't create it).

Grabbing people's attention for a moment was much harder to do before we all had smart phones.

We live in a world so saturated that the number of choices of how to spend our time (and the sheer number of people) are so numerous that they might as well be unlimited.

And in these conditions, the popular thing isn't always the right one. At the end of all this, McDonald's will still be more popular than that small organic vegan place down the road: the one run by people who care about the environment, about animal welfare, and about you. And you will still have to choose where and what to eat.

And all it takes is an invisible killer, mutated from a bat (though next time it will just as likely be from a factory-farmed animal in the USA, China or Europe) to start effortlessly tearing down the mass-driven and tightly-knitted world that has been built over the last few decades.

Because even in the best-case scenario, the indirect damage of COVID-19 has already been done. Those who come out of this situation still in search of growth and ever-bigger numbers and expansion have probably missed one of the disciplinary points that the world is now harshly inflicting on us.

Neil's old friend John Tyson is probably in this latter category, but the damage his factory farms are doing to the environment and animals could justifiably be described as mass-market criminality. Was this ever the Tyson family's intention? I assume not. Most people aren't evil. But the more huge a system becomes, the more dangerous it becomes. And the more effortless it becomes to sacrifice basic values.

And again, all it takes is something small, something so small that we cannot even see it, to start tearing it all down. Whether that something is a malicious virus deadly to us all, or a single activist handing out flyers on the street.

Focus on the small, zoom in, and you will start to spot where the real influence is now developing.

And sadly, it's only in these times of world-wide crisis that we start to wake up, to really feel alive and appreciate what we have. Even the water we drink and the air we breathe seems to have more flavour; everything is sharper, the music is clearer and more alive.

The most expensive media player in the world can not buy you that sort of humble richness and appreciation. A "house of love", as touchingly brought to life in Neil's song Eternity, is only fully appreciated when it comes under threat, or when you don't have one. And both situations are exhausting and anxiety-inducing.

And it's in these uncertain and anxiety-inducing times that we also start to see who really cares.

My last lengthy comment on Thrasher's blog of 2019 was one about artistic generosity, how it is needed more than ever. And what makes Neil's Fireside Sessions so genuinely special is the sensation of an artist really caring, of generously sharing something with us. Something for us, not just for him.

If this were something simply designed to make the stats go up, to exclusively make money or to promote a self-absorbed agenda, then the value would be entirely lost. In a mass-market world, the precious thing is the caring small details that are getting lost.

The focus, the intensity and quality, the effort (just the right amount and in the right place), the attention to detail. The willingness to open up. The caring.

These Fireside Sessions are a small thing, but they are also a precious thing. And I guarantee you right now that the Weld Series will also be a special thing, at the other end of the musical scale. I hope he goes through with it, because the sheer passion and regimented intensity of those shows is going to delight many of you. Return To Greendale is also something you should be excited about. There is a lot to look forward to, and much to appreciate right now, as well.

If you enjoyed any of these recent films by Neil, share the link with a friend who might also like them. This might be particularly appreciated if they are stuck at home with their Sister-In-Law who they normally only have to tolerate on Boxing Day. And feel free to share this comment, as well.

Take care everyone, please.

Scotsman.
As usual Mr Scotsman, thank you so much for stopping by and sharing your thoughts on 2 of our 3 favorite subjects: Bob & Neil. Your insightful contributions -- once again demonstrate that Neil fans/rusties are some of the most knowledgeable and articulate music fans out there. We're honored and humbled to have you here.

The atmospherics and intimacy of these sessions is stunning and gripping. Hopefully this will demonstrate to artists around the world about working closely with dear friends, family and trusted associates to produce their work -- rather than vast crews of highly talented, technically professional perfectionists. (This is meant as a total compliment D.)
