Neil Young Patron ZOOM Call Update: Archives Volume 4 Release + More

Neil Young on Patron ZOOM - July 8, 2026
image via Rusted Moon

Here is an update from Neil Young's Patron call earlier today. Many thanks to everyone for reports via TW comments.

by Robert Broadfoot

Asked about a release of the LWW remix currently rolled out on NYA the man himself during a video call for patrons declined any intention to go beyond the NYA and release a tangible version.

Questions by the patrons included "Canary", "Homefires", "Electric Judy", also recordings of the 1993 European Tour with Booker T. & the MGs were mentioned. Neil Young described how he ended up with songs on his new album that originated in the 60's.

There were a lot of prominent grains, rusties and zumans online who are more apt to summarize what had been said than me, so who's gonna stand up?
Developing ... check back.

UPDATE: See excellent summary in comments below by Greying Rider.

Comment of the Moment #2: "As Time Explodes" by Neil Young & The Chrome Hearts

"As Time Explodes"
Neil Young & The Chrome Hearts
 (Click photo to enlarge)

The  album  "As Time Explodes" by Neil Young w/Chrome Hearts  was released for this year's Record Store Day on April 18. 'As Time Explodes' will be released on CD on May 29.

Our latest Comment of the Moment #2: "As Time Explodes" by Neil Young & The Chrome Hearts is also by JVJ:

Another reminder of how lucky we are to have the Archives and the letters section... between the time I lamented the omission of Ambulance Blues and now, some intrepid fan sent in asking why it didn't make the cut and Neil explained succinctly: "THEY WERE GOOD BUT NONE WERE RIGHT FOR ME ON THIS ALBUM. MAYBE IN THE FUTRE IT WILL BE USED."

I'll echo that the version of Cortez the Killer contained here - as most of you know, the version with the missing verses that have been included since last year's tour with the horse - is absolutely essential. I understand the minor grievances listed in this thread (the slow start of Side 1. Spooner still being lower in the mix in the same way as on tour...) but damn, Side 3 is a towering and killer slab of rock and roll... Vampire Blues (from one of the shows I attended! I get a sensorial memory of my best friend and me losing our shit when they kicked into that one) and Cortez? An absolutely unmissable document of the band at their best right there.

Another letter I read in the most recent batch made the cover art make sense to me. I had no idea it was a picture of the band reflected in rained out pit at the Jones Beach show. I just thought it was an artistic decision that didn't do anything for me compared to a simple shot of the great stage set-up they had on this run. Really made my appreciation to the cover art skyrocket.

Anyways, looking forward to more opinions as the album continues to officially roll out. I really would live to see the truncated Crazy Horse tour make it to record at some point, though that feels unlikely (and maybe a bit greedy given the embarrassment of riches we've already received).

Thanks  for the comments JVJ! A 2fer.

Comment of the Moment: "As Time Explodes" by Neil Young & The Chrome Hearts

The  album  "As Time Explodes" by Neil Young w/Chrome Hearts  was released for this year's Record Store Day on April 18. 'As Time Explodes' will be released on CD on May 29.

Our Comment of the Moment on "As Time Explodes" by Neil Young & The Chrome Hearts is by JVJ:
Wonderin', for those who picked up a copy of the new live LP already, how folks are enjoying it?

With so many full shows from the tour on YouTube, it's easy for anyone to have an opinion on what was omitted and what they dug making the cut. I think it's a great live album - especially considering the turnaround from tour to LP didn't provide much room for reflection.

A coupla things I woulda loved weren't included (shame to begin opening nearly every show with such a beautiful rendition of Ambulance Blues for it to not make the cut) but found myself especially surprised by a few choices (Silver Eagle, while very good, felt like a moment to rest between heavy hits during the shows I saw but on the LP it plays as a beautiful coda and a perfect tribute to their time on the road together).

Also happy that it brought Daddy Went Walkin' back to peoples ears... and it's a treat to have a version of Big Crime on record... if this album ends up being it's only physical home, that alone will make this release a special one in a discography that has a lot of essential live albums already.

Of note, this album will be another Top 10 Bestseller for Neil Young debuting at #6 on the charts, per Forbes:

As Time Explodes — Live, which is credited officially to Neil Young and the Chrome Hearts, launches on three U.K. charts, and it performs best on the Official Americana rundown. That tally focuses on the top-selling titles in that one style throughout the country, and purchases on CD, cassette, vinyl, and via download stores such as iTunes are all factored into its methodology. This frame, As Time Explodes — Live kicks off at No. 6.

Young has placed 19 projects onto the Official Americana chart since first landing on the tally just over a decade ago. Almost all of those releases, 16 in total, have spent time inside the top 10.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Neil Young Reveals Summer 2026 Tour Plans

Neil Young Announces AARP/Amtrak Summer Tour 2026

Editor's Note: Due to the heat and poor eyesight, our Intrepid Chicago Reporter (ICR) John Kwit misses the "No Trespassing" signs on his walk up in the unspoiled Colorado  hill country in an attempt to interview Neil Young (NY).  This is his 42nd  attempt to interview Neil in various locations since 1982.

Suddenly, he spots Neil by his barn.

This is John's story and an exclusive TW interview with  Neil Young. Enjoy.

Mountaintop Somewhere in the Colorado Mountains

Dateline: Somewhere on a Mountaintop in Colorado's Rockies Mountains

***

Intrepid Chicago Reporter (ICR): Hey, careful with that axe, Eugene! Yes, you by the barn!  Got any water? I know it’s only the end of March but it’s hotter than blazes up here. Must be global warming and I’m parched.

Neil Young (NY): My name’s not Eugene. Who are you and how’d you know I had an axe?

ICR: My name means nothing, but I know a Fender when I see one.

NY: You know I was gonna’ drag you by your britches and haul you feet-first back down the gravel road but I like your style. Sit down on that log.  I’ll go grab us both a cold water.

ICR: Much obliged.

NY: (returning with 2 cold waters) Now what brings you up here? I see you’re carrying a Steno notepad and a ballpoint pen.

ICR: (water slurping sound) Ahhhh.  I’m here to interview you, Mr. Young. Didn’t you get the letter I sent to Lookout Management?

NY: (wiping forearm of flannel shirt to mouth) I got nothing.

ICR: Well, then let me just get started. I don’t want to waste your valuable time.

NY: How’d you get directions to my place?

ICR: You gave them to me.

NY: I did?

ICR: Well, to be honest you gave them to everybody.  If you play side 1 of your latest album (Talkin’ to the Trees) backwards it gives clear, step-by-step instructions on how to get here.

NY: Well, I gotta’ talk to my manager about that.  Hey, what news outlet are you with?  One of the Big Guns: New York Times, Rolling Stone Magazine?

ICR: Ha. Please. I’m an elderly, independent journalist beholden to no-one seeking the truth and a scoop.

NY:  Well, I’ll be d*mned. You look familiar. We crossed paths before?

ICR: Crossed paths?  I got 44 solid years of following your career, buying your albums, seeing your shows from the rail to the back-rafters, reading every news article and book I could find related to you and your multiple band family trees.  Then I started interviewing band members and writing.  We’ve had many words together over the years, shook hands, had some belly laughs. But I gotta’ tell you, my adventures are enough to get a fella’ divorced.  For some reason, my wife kept me and she never forgot that autograph you signed for her in 2000 as she sat cross-legged on the ground with photo in-hand outside the revolving door of the Indianapolis shopping mall where you exited before playing a gig on the CSNY2K Tour.   Remember that?

NY: Yes, I do, and she was very polite as I recall. Petite too.

ICR: Shoot, yep, that’s her.  I’m sorry, let me re-focus on today’s interview.

NY: I’m a little picky on the topics I care to discuss.  I’m still a little gun-shy after that Shakey Biography.  Sometimes interview questions get too personal. What’s on your mind?

ICR: Well, before I start the interview questions, I have an idea for you.  I’m thinking of you and your family’s financial security.  What I’m proposing is a massive, super-deluxe, limited-edition HEART OF GOLD Box Set featuring every known official studio recording, outtake and live performance of that one song.  I’m guessing there’s at least 400 live versions out there alone.  So, if each vinyl record could hold 44 minutes of music, at 4 minutes per song (that’s including the pre and post-audience banter or guitar tuning musings) I figure you’d need a 40 record box set. And it needs to come out on vinyl with the best analog sources and then you can have the last side be blank and feature a laser etching of something you hand-drew.  And the kicker…the subtitle of the Box Set is: It’s All The Same Song.  What do you think?

NY:  It’s all the same song?

ICR:  Yeah, that’s one of your most famous sayings, isn’t it?  I borrowed it from you.

NY: (shaking his head) It’s all the same song?  I’m starting to rethink my idea of grabbing you by your britches and hauling you feet-first back down the gravel road…but only because of that remark about the laser etching.  I’ve caught a lot of flack about those blank-side etchings on previous releases and I’ve learned my lesson. The limited-edition 40 vinyl record HEART OF GOLD Box Set is a fine idea. You know, I beat the bootleggers by releasing my treasure trove of live and unreleased material via the Archives.  And now, with this “It’s All the Same Song” idea, the sky’s the limit!  I mean, if there’s a 40 Record Box set for Heart of Gold, who’s to say I couldn’t put out a 22 Record ONLY LOVE CAN BREAK YOUR HEART Box set or a 12 Record LIKE A HURRICANE Box Set.  Shoot, I’ve got some kick *ss 23 minute versions of that ditty in the vaults from 1977 that nobody’s heard that’ll make your ears ring for weeks.  Frankly, I don’t know why my people or I didn’t think of this “It’s All The Same Song” Box Set concept first.  You want to work on my Archives Team?

ICR: Much obliged, but I’ll have to pass. I’m already working two jobs to make ends meet and I’m trying to finish up a stellar career in Federal Service on a high note.

NY: Well, the door is always open.  You mentioned you were looking for a scoop. Since you were so kind to share the “It’s All the Same Song” idea with me, I got a doozy of a scoop for you.  You know a lot folks across the pond are disappointed that I cancelled a European Tour in 2026.  I have a tendency to change my mind, have you noticed that?

ICR: Well, now that you…

NY: I was gonna save this secret 2026 Tour announcement for one of those huge mega-media websites, with the sponsorship of a prominent organization where I could get the most exposure…

ICR: You mean like Classmates.com sponsored by…

NY: No, even bigger than that.

ICR: I can’t fathom it.  Spill the beans, man.

NY: OK, here goes. So, some people have been encouraging me to do one of those Cruise Ship Music Tours.  But who wants to be stuck on a boat with the Oak Ridge Boys, you know what I mean?  Plus, if I’m not feeling the vibe on night 5 out in middle of the Atlantic how am I going to bail?  Jump into a lifeboat with a trolling motor and hope for the best?

ICR: Eat a peach, indeed!  I hear ya.

Amtrak Train

NY: So I saw this ad in the latest AARP (formerly the American Association of Retired Persons)  magazine offering a 10% discount on Amtrak travel for seniors and this whole vision just crystalized before my very eyes.  A train tour, through-out the United States, stopping at all the former great little small town depots where my fans can see me and the Chrome Hearts plug in, outdoors, in the sunshine with nary a care in the world.

Francesville Train Depot

And even if the depot is no longer there, there’s gotta be a electrical outlet somewhere where we can plug in, either at the local garage, five and dime, or town-square gazebo.  You ever been to Hamlet, North Carolina; Pretty Prairie, Kansas; Antioch, Illinois?

Hamlet, Pretty Prairie and Antioch Train Depots

ICR: I’ve been everywhere, man, I’ve been everywhere.  Have you thought about the logistics, like food for the crowds? (tapping pen on Steno pad)

NY: Everything will be organic and if needed, it’ll be trucked in by electric vehicles.  And the prices will be competitive, not like what you see at these indoor arenas charging $5 for a hot dog.  Ain’t that a crime?

ICR: Well the prices at the Neil Young Village on your last tour were…

NY: Can I interrupt? The one exception will be Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. I gotta’ have those.  My roadies got mad at me on the last tour, I think it was near Milwaukee, because I was scarfing a bag after our final number while the crowd was going wild and then I grabbed Hank William’s old guitar for the encore and I forgot to wipe my hands clean.  My guitar tech and roadies had a devil of a time getting that red powdery stuff off, you know what I mean?

ICR: (tapping pen on Steno notepad)  It’s all a bit much for me to take in. What I really want to know is…

NY: Can I interrupt, again?  I want this tour to really show my love for the fans, that’s why I’ll be encouraging fans to book a roomette on Amtrak so you can share the ride with me. All I ask is for everyone to be considerate of their hot water usage so we can all take a decent shower. We can hang out late at night after the gigs, play cards or board games while looking out the observation car windows.  I’ll have my guitar and I encourage others to bring theirs too.  And I’d really like somebody to bring an armonica.  You know, that glass instrument ol’ Ben Franklin designed.

ICR: I know a fella’ who…

NY: Oh, and let’s talk autographs. I’m known as an extremely private guy and I’ve been pretty stingy with autographs for the last decade or so, but folks, listen, just bring me your items: Posters, photos, instruments, tour programs, my books, your forearm. You bring it and I’ll gladly sign it.

ICR: You mean you’ll sign those 2 items I’ve been lugging around for the last ten years?

NY: Of course. Do you have them on you now?

ICR: No. (tapping pen on Steno notepad)

NY: Well that’s a d*mn shame.  Wait a minute.  That tapping noise you keep making has a very distinctive sound.  I need to capture it.  Kind of cross between Jim Keltner, Johny Barbata and Chad Cromwell, you know, a few great fella’s who’ve kept the beat for me on and off over the years.  You got a few minutes you can spare with me?

ICR: Sure.

NY: (yelling to the nearby cabin) Honey, bring the camcorder!  I want to record a song.  (Rushes out into the barn and returns with a trusty acoustic guitar).  I want to record another version of Heart of Gold right now, with you on the Steno notepad.  Are you in the musician’s union?

ICR: No, but I’m in two other unions.  Just list me as uncredited.

NY: Great.  Give me a minute to think of the tuning.  It might be in G.

(And that’s how the Steno notepad version got on the 40 record Heart of Gold Box Set)

The End

Post script: Look for Neil Young this summer on Amtrak at a depot near you.  You never know, he may also make an unannounced appearance as an unassuming railroad buff on this summers historic Big Boy No. 4014 locomotive first-ever coast to coast tour in honor of America’s 250th anniversary.  The Big Boy No. 4014 is a 1.2 million pound locomotive and is one of a handful of Big Boy engines built to haul heavy equipment during World War II.  Exact dates and locations for the Big Boy tour are not yet available.

Neil Young on NYA: "I'm so happy with my new album!"

Some good news from Neil Young on his recent recording sessions at Rick Rubin's Shangri-La Studios.

Recall that earlier this month we learned that Neil Young & Chrome Hearts had been in the studio with "8 songs recorded".

Now in a response to a letter from Wendy, Neil seems quite pleased.

"I'm so happy with my new album!

I honestly can't remember ever feeling so good about what we recorded. Everything happened so naturally… Chrome Hearts were totally in the groove. Songs! I'm really looking forward to sharing it with you all as soon as possible.

Songs…"
Nice to see the change in Neil's mood. Also, recall that in early March, Neil wrote:
"Politics today is sad and depressing for me. I can’t do it anymore."
And in other Neil Young news of late, the tracklist for the album "As Time Explodes" by Neil Young w/Chrome Hearts  has been revealed for this year's Record Store Day on April 18.

Lastly, still no word on re-scheduling the cancelled 2026 Europe Tour dates. Although we're hearing that something big might be announced in early April.  Stay tuned. :)

Neil Young & The Chrome Hearts Are In The Studio + Comment of the Moment

Neil Young and The Chrome Hearts
Charlotte, NC - August 8, 2025

Neil Young & Chrome Hearts have been in the studio, with "8 songs recorded", per a response to a letter on  Neil Young Archives.

Presumably recorded on the last full moon -- the Blood Moon -- no additional details have emerged, other than Neil is not happy. Writing on NYA | T-C, Neil Young says:
“Folks, I am so hurt for this country.

Politics today is sad and depressing for me. I can’t do it anymore. I can go out and demonstrate my feelings about it. We have the worst president in the history of our country. Every day, a bad TV show produced by DJT [President Donald J. Trump] is what we get.

Now, thankfully, once again, I’m in the studio recording a new album with the chrome hearts.

I love the songs and the feelings of life and love. Music is. So far, we have eight new songs. They make me feel.”
Which brings us to a  Comment of the Moment from TeekiesPlace:

Neil’s been talking about how music makes him 'feel' lately and how it’s got him back in the studio.

You have to wonder if that fan letter he shared with the track link at the bottom had something to do with the inspiration? It's an upbeat country-rocker that even name-checks his old friends Willie and Waylon from Farm Aid.

Makes you wonder.

Here is the link he left in: https://www.reverbnation.com/wendyellenwarren/song/29254035-cheap-champagne
Thanks for sharing TeekiesPlace!  It does make you wonder, doesn't it?

Actually, Neil has made it quite a habit of his to make us be "Wonderin' " most of the time.

Afterall, recall just last summer when Neil Young invited President Trump to attend his concerts.

And in other Neil Young news of late, the tracklist for the album "As Time Explodes" by Neil Young w/Chrome Hearts  has been revealed for this year's Record Store Day on April 18.

 LOVE EARTH 2026 UK/EU TOUR
Neil Young and The Chrome Hearts

On Neil Young Archives Times-ContrarianNeil responds to a letter from Michael about the tour cancellation:
“... everything is OK.

All is good . Just needed a break. Listening to my body.”
In another letter from Justin, Neil says they will consider Bridgeport, CT for a concert. (thanks Road Dawg!)

"No promises though!!!"

Good ol' Neil ... always hedging those statements.  Some things will never change.

Our guidance is to go ahead and make your summer vacation plans.  Once those reservations are completed, a summer tour will then be announced, per "Neil's Law".  For somewhere on EARTH.  Maybe North America?  Or maybe Fall?  Or 2027? Maybe w/ Chrome Hearts?

Let's make a real "hippie dream" happen.

THE FALLOUT: Neil Young Cancels 2026 Europe Tour & What Went Wrong?

 LOVE EARTH 2026 UK/EU TOUR
Neil Young and The Chrome Hearts

The ongoing fallout over the sudden cancelation of Neil Young's 2026 European Tour with The Chrome Hearts continues to reverberate across the Atlantic and beyond.

As the eloquent Scotsman puts it:

"The cancellation of Neil Young's Euro tour has unleashed a tsunami of disappointment (and also bittersweet understanding) among those who had tickets — and raises questions about exactly what went wrong."

So first, let's try and unpack what we know.

Last year on November 21, 2025, Neil Young announced that the LOVE EARTH 2026 UK/EU TOUR would begin on June 19, 2026 in Manchester, England followed by about a dozen other dates.  Ticket sales began on November 28.

On January 21, a new tour date was added for June 17 at the Eden Sessions in Cornwall, UK.

On January 27, Neil Young held a Patron ZOOM call for roughly one hour -- "looking fantastic" -- where he discussed a multitude of topics including additional possible tour plans in the U.S. plus recording an album of new songs in the studio.

"I'm sorry to disappoint you, but now just isn't the right time."
So what happened between January 27 and February 6? Apparently it was still the right time to tour on January 27 but less than 2 weeks later it wasn't?

Obviously, the rustie speculation is off the charts. Folks bought tickets for Europe. Bought plane tickets, booked hotels and rentals. And suddenly, no tour or plausible explanation.

And with that background, The Scotsman steps up to attempt to understand what's happening here ... although it ain't exactly clear. Scotsman walks through the standard litanies of Neil's health, Neil following his muse, Neil's "eat a peach" attitude, etc.

Recall that just back in 2024, suddenly all remaining dates of Neil Young's tour with Crazy Horse were canceled unexpectedly for "health reasons". The Scotsman sums up 3 possibilities for the Europe tour cancelation:

A) Health. B) Unsatisfactory sales/demand. C) Donald Trump.
The bottom line: who knows?

Lastly, we'll highlight The Scotsman's conclusion regarding The Eden Project, the event just added to the itinerary:

Finally: Take a listen to the first 180 seconds of the video embedded at the top of the page , (TW: below) about the Eden Project. Particularly, take note of the section around 2:30 to 3 minutes in. This all sounds like a dream scenario for Neil, doesn't it? Indeed, it explicitly focuses on the very same subjects he's passionately dedicated much of the 21st century to.

At least in this case, I think he is absolutely sincere about being sorry to let people down... and he will be disappointed not to attend, too.

If nothing else, we can all agree about the disappointment all around.

Thanks Scots -- as always -- for the words. The passion.  The insights.

Neil Young Patron ZOOM Call Update: New Songs & Archives Volume 4 Release

Here is an update from Neil Young's Patron call earlier today. Many thanks to Greying Rider for his excellent reports via TW comments.

Neil Young on Patron ZOOM

Hello Everybody,

Notes from the Patron call:

--------

Neil looks fantastic.

Says it’s the largest group of Patrons ever. May offend some people and get that number down!

Phil Baker reads questions. Zeke, Frank Gironda and John O are also not he call.

Will Neil play in USA in 2026?

Some possibilities. Focused on making new album because he’s got new songs.

New outtakes in the works?

Yes in the work all the time. Neil calls himself a giant outtake. Working on them all the time.
There will a list on the NYA music page with all the outakes and links to find them.

Does he have any ideas to mobilize and galvanize the collective musicians to stand against the Trump?

No ideas. Every American should use their conscience to stand up for beliefs and not be intimidated.

Are there plans for another benefit show in 2026?

Probably.

Neil are you writing new songs?

6 news songs right now.

Please tell us about your new songs.

Reads a verse of a new song. Sound like decent lyrics.

What does he think of the atmos mixes?

Go to Apple for these. Neil likes the original mixes and what he did in the first place. What the Archives are about. Niko’s atmos mixes are great and Vol 4 is full of them.

Asked to say a few words about Judy Greenberg

Neil says she was a wonderful person and a great supporter of his music. Life is sometimes a rough ride but she had to go. Zeke chips in to say she was the first subscriber. Neil says she was a one in a million. She loved music and will always be around.

Archives Volume 4 release date?

No release date. But there is a lot more information and then he (quickly!) reels off a list. [This is what I got. Please add anything I missed or got wrong in the comments.]

  • ’87 Crazy Horse with Blue Notes
  • Freedom sessions’
  • Raggedly Glorious (3 sessions)
  • Deep in the Valley of Hearts. New album
  • Natural Beauty
  • Philadelphia
  • Booker T & MGs
  • Sleeps with Angels film with Briggs
  • Mirrorball film
  • Year of the Horse with cool version of Sedan Delivery
  • Amazing Trocadero from ’97 with CH
  • 97-99 Silver and Gold
  • Catalyst
  • Ocean Way
  • Live album from the WiIltern (Joh Hanlon not listed to yet).

Ever recoded a song singing a song in another language?

Not that I know of.

How is Canary getting on?

Last 50 pages. Final edits. Getting ready to do art (watercolor painting). End of this year. Maybe 2027. Working on it since 2017. Sci fi. Quite a story.

What in pipeline that most excited about?

All the same to Neil. Like the new songs. One called ”The Second Song”. Woke up with the melody in his head. Thinks must have existed already and so wrote new lyrics to it.

Any chance we will get a Neil Young biopic film?

Says he hopes not! Does not know how you can do that while still alive. Got some people he knows working on something but does not want to get involved. Wants to make a record.

Will independent venues make a recovery like vinyl?

Has a go at Amazon.

How is the train set?

Fantastic. One of his greatest endeavors. Art of creating things form real things.

How determine set lists for every show to show?

He does it by feel. Write down the setlist before the show and then deviate from it.

Zeke mentions that Chrome Hearts can play anything he pulls out of the hat.

Question about if he will organize a show to mobilize musicians.

Neil’s not going to organize, he follows the muse. Other people can do this better.

How does it feel to be 80?

Feels good. Thought he’d be scared until he was 80. What the heck? Who cares? A lot of things don’t matter that used to matter. Likes to stay physical. Walked 3 miles at 8,500 feet yesterday in his new shoes to not slide around on the ice.

How are Ralph and Billy?

Happy, healthy and well. Poncho too. Spoke to him last week. Played them the Trocadero disc. They loved the ‘new’ old stuff.

Trocadero has 7/8 songs that Neil hardly ever played with CH: Razor Love, Big Time.

How decide if play a song acoustic or electric?

Depends on how he feels. Some more fun acoustic and some electric. Admits not a good answer, he just makes things up on the go.

How has the Greenland free access gone?

Reaction has been good.

How feel about old classic songs?

If tired of it, then don’t play it. No rules. It’s like the wind, just comes and goes. Bob doesn’t plan what he plays. He plays what he feels like playing. Follows the muse to play how he wants, even if not recognizable.

What’s on the new live album?

First song to be released is Silver Eagle. And then Big Crime. Incredible version of Cortez from Bergen. Best version ever in his opinion because it came out different when he sang it. Stopped each verse a line early and let the verses sync into a big hodge podge. Tells a whole story from a new view.

Status of Tape Sessions log from Volume 3?

John says on his desk. Got a list last week.

When is Coastal coming to NYA?

Frank Girona says its on the way but Neil jokes that business gets crossed with art.

Law suit x Chrome Hearts?

Frank says worked out an arrangement but can’t comment otherwise. Neil will continue using the name.

Spoken to Stephen recently?

Yes, spoke last week. Keeps in touch with these guys.

-----------

That's all I got. It's good to share.

Peace. Toby

What Might Neil Young's 2026 Bring Us?

 LOVE EARTH 2026 UK/EU TOUR
Neil Young and The Chrome Hearts

You ask, "so what might Neil Young's 2026 bring?"

Good question and the big ticket item is that Neil Young and The Chrome Hearts that kicks off the LOVE EARTH 2026 UK/EU TOUR on June 19, 2026 in Manchester, England.

Additionally, a comment by Dionys whets the appetite with expectations:

  • Mirror Ball Live  (w/ Pearl Jam)
  • Love Earth World Tour 2024 double album
  • Ben Keith's Seven Gates / Christmas at the Ranch re-release
  • Gulf of Mexico/U.S. tour w/ The Chrome Hearts
  • Tennessee (The Int’l Harvesters rediscovered 1985 tape)
  • Homefires (thanks dinkers!)
Gulf of Mexico/U.S. tour w/ The Chrome Hearts

Thanks for the "informed speculation" Dionys. That pretty well tracks what we're seeing as well.  Obviously, all eyes on tour planning.

So what did we miss?
