Still waiting in the UK - Friday 11th Dec. Sigh.

Still waiting in the UK - Friday 11th Dec. Sigh.
Jonathan - sorry to hear you're still waiting. I've got a second edition coming in March so hoping it'll all be sorted out by then.
I find myself rather swimming against the tide here, in that I'm taking it one (downloaded) disk at a time. It was whilst listening to Everyone's Alone for the second time that I found myself spontaneously weeping with joy during the acoustic L.A. - a song I've been pretty indifferent to - and decided savour every moment of Vol 2.
So this week it was Disk 3 - Tonight's the Night, played lo-fi on the phone after midnight with a bedside light only.
Christmas treat will be Homegrown and TTN back-to-back in a homage to the legendary playback party.
Hambone in the UK.
Hambone, I envy your restraint. I gorged on the whole thing the first weekend. No regrets!
UK box on its way. Box has left the warehouse. Not quite as memorable as Elvis has left the building, but in time, who knows.
@thrasher finally had a shipping notice on my NYA Vol.2 order. I'll have to be patient though, Mrs B is wrapping it and its going under the tree.
Mine arrived today. Only found out when Yodel sent me a message last night saying my package from Time Music was in transit. I assumed it was my Archives II box. Received an update at 9.30 this morning telling me it was out for delivery here in North East, England and at 12.22 it was duly delivered. My Greedy Hand account still says 'not shipped', go figure?
Is it only customers living in the UK who have received their box sets?
Has any non-UK residents who ordered from the UK Store received or heard anything?
From Belgium, no news from UK store and my order is still "packing".
@ ANDREW - really good news that boxes have finally arrived in UK. So sorry you guys had such a hassle. Hopefully a learning experience for NYA & GH to get act together for future releases.
Very nice of Mrs B to put under the tree, but can you wait?! enjoy your Christmas day! you're in for a treat that makes it worth the wait.
@ G-Man - go figure in Shakey World. enjoy as well and send us a report when you can.
@ Phil - hoping for good news for you soon!
@thrasher Yep I can wait, still got the HiRes downloads to fall back on. I'm supposed to be cooking on Xmas Day, I fear dinner will be delayed whilst I'm lost in the archives book :-)
This is the last bit of negativity from me on this subject, I promise! I received my box today, damaged. This was due to the boxset itself being packed in another box about twice as big, with a single piece of bubble wrap about as small as a tissue thrown in as an afterthought, effectively doing nothing. A 2 year old would have packed it with more thought and dilligence. The boxset could, and obviously did, just rattle around in there during transit. It must have taken a hit to the corner at some point as the outer box was dented in and torn. My heart sank when I saw it and my fears realised once I opened the outer box itself. One of the corners of the boxset is seriously dented in.
Now, before anyone tells me, I know, it's the contents of the boxset that's the important part, but given the cost of this item the lack of care shown is unforgivable. It's not unreasonable to expect an expensive item to be well packed and arrive in pristine condition, it should be part of the service. But service from the greedy hand has been lacking throughout, and it's the final reason why I'll never, ever, use them again. I hope everybody else's boxes arrive soon, I hope our friends on the European mainland get theirs before Christmas, and I hope nobody else's box arrives like mine did.
Thrasher, my next post will be a positive one I promise!!
Mine was well wrapped inside a slightly bigger box with lots of tightly folded thick brown paper protecting the Archives box. No complaints here.
@ ANDREW - now don't be late for a special holiday meal1 :)
@ Old Black - such good news on the arrival but what a bummer after all of this.
Yes, of course, certainly understand that it should have arrived pristine after all of this w/ extra care.
back in 2011 on NYA#1, our box had some manufacturing defect where the CD case would fall into bottom section and you needed tongs to extract. We casually mentioned this to Archives guy at the time and next thing you know we had a brand new box. It was an empty box that we switched the contents into. So maybe you can get a new empty box?
well, pls do enjoy the contents. you're in for a treat.
lastly, while we don't mind folks sharing the pain, we know that is a very small minority.
so we continue to look for reactions and reviews on those gems still to be un-EARTHed in NYA#2.
peace
G-Man, I'm glad yours is fine. The difference in packaging to mine shows that I guess they just used up whatever cardboard boxes and materials were laying around the warehouse! Keeps costs down but not great for all of the end users, and certainly not very professional.
Thrasher, thanks for the suggestion, good idea.
Lastly, yes, I hope that I am in a very small minority, and on a positive note (see Thrasher, I'm sticking to my word!) I'm VERY excited about the contents of the box and the journey they'll take me on!
Just received a few minutes ago a mail from Greedy Hands : your order has left our warehouse and is on its way to you... So, I just have to wait and hope that the box is well wrapped...
Even if I've listened a lot the Archives on NYA, I need a physical contact !!! It's like this year, you can see and hear your friends and relatives through internet but you need to embrace them :-)
Finally!
Received this message minutes ago:
“Your Neil Young order has left our warehouse and is on its way to you.”
Order status now says “Shipped” and “Complete”.
But after this almighty mess I can’t really relax until I have the box in my hands before Christmas - well wrapped and in pristine condition.
Hopefully other customers outside the UK will get the same message very soon.

I received my box at lunch time today in the U.K. At 7.30 this evening Greedy Hand U.K. store sent me an e-mail informing me myborder had left their warehouse and was on it's way. Funny old world, I'd received my order 7 hours earlier. I gather they left the warehouse on Friday evening. Hope our European friends receive theirs soon.
@ Old Black: I encourage you to get in contact with the Greedy Hand and let them know that you received a defective product. I’m convinced that they will make it right. We also had the same issue with Volume One that Thrashers had back in the day, and we received a new box as well, so let them know so they can make it right for you. It’s worth the effort.
Peace 🙏
Dan Swan, thanks for the encouragement, but this time around it's a slightly different situation. Vol 1 wasn't a limited edition so there were spare boxes available. Vol 2 is a limited run, and the return form suggests that in the instance of limited runs they will give a refund if no more are available. Which of course I don't want.
Also, I don't know if you dealt with the greedy hand in the UK or US? Over the course of events I emailed the UK store 8 times and had 1 reply, (I think, there were so many emails to various people flying around I've lost track) and that was just an automated message. I didn't even get notified that my box was on it's way, the first I heard was from the couriers. The only way I got my NYA membership code and music download code was by emailing the NYA team who evidently intervened as I then received the codes within hours. Based on that experience I very much doubt that I would even hear back from them, and whilst I'm not normally a defeatist I'm not throwing my hat back into that ring, I haven't the energy left!
I really appreciate your comment, and maybe the US greedy hand is a better run set up, but without wishing to repeat myself the UK version is seriously lacking.
I'll learn to live with it I guess. I just hope that if anyone from the NYA team is reading this then if and when it comes to Vol 3, maybe it's worth giving some thought as to getting someone who knows what they're doing to sort out the packing and logistics, dare I say it, Amazon....?
Thrasher and a lot of other people no doubt have had enough of this subject, and I get it, and if the logistics and communication, especially the communication, had been better dealt with then none of this would have occurred and all of the postings on here would have been of the congratulatory kind, as they should have been.
But, I'm LOVING the contents of my bruised box! Thanks again Dan, stay safe.
Hi,
I'm still waiting for delivery here in Germany. I got a mail saying it has been shipped last Friday, 6 days ago.
When I track the shipping number on the DHL-Website, it says that the number is incorrect.
Anybody here in Germany who has already received the box?
Frage, I'm living in Belgium and have received the mail saying the box was shipped last monday. But I didn't get any track number ! And this afternoon I get another mail from Greedy Hand with 10% discount voucher for my next order...
@frage
@phil
I don’t know if this is any help, but anyway:
I ordered from the UK Store. Late Monday evening 14th Dec. I got a mail from noreply@warnerartists.net saying order had left warehouse and was on its way. But no tracking number!
17th Dec. I received a mail from the Danish courier that handles the package in Denmark saying they had received my package from B2C Europe NL. The Danish firm supplied a tracking number, so I can follow the package here in Denmark.
My shipping number is different from the tracking number. Perhaps we don’t get a tracking number until the packet arrive in our own country. If that is the case I guess you will soon get a tracking number from your national courier. They are extremely busy, which may explain the waiting.
I hope both of you will soon receive your box sets.

Thanks Kim... I know they are incredibly busy this year... Hope to get it for Xmas !!!
Hi Kim and Phil, thanks for your answers.
Hopefully the Box arrives before X-Mas.
Anyway: We've waited for years for Archives 2, another couple of days actually don't matter.
Have a fine weekend!
Hi Frage & Phil,
Thanks. I guess all boxes were sent from the UK warehouse about the same time. I finally got mine tonight, so I think there’s a good chance you will also get yours before Christmas. Good luck to both of you.

Hi Phil and Kim,
still no archives box here. I hope everybody else has got theirs.
I contacted the Custumer-Service twice - without any answer.
It is completly disappointing how they treat their customers. I dont't even know if anybody has read my mails - no conformation whatsoever. I mean, it can happen that parcels get lost, but these people just don't care. It was shipped with tracked mail, so they could check. The tracking number I got from them doesn't work, so there is nothing I can do.
I was so much looking forward to that box - that's turned into frustration by now.
I'm about to contact paypal and try to get my money back...
Hi Phil and Kim,
still no archives box here. I hope everybody else has got theirs.
I contacted the webstore tiwce(11 days ago and 4 days ago), but didn't get an answer. It is so disappointing how they treat their customers. I don't even know, if anybody has read the emails I sent them - no conformation whatsoever. They just don't care, so it seems.
I mean, it can happen that parcels get lost, but I would expect them to check. Or to contact me and tell me whats going on.
It was shipped with tracked mail. The tracking number they sent me on Dez. 14 is not working, I get an error message. So there's nothing I can so.
I was really looking forward to that box - these people from the webstore have turned the joy into frustration.
I'm thinking about contacting paypal in order to try to get my money back.
