Sounds great so far. Amazing to hear that Long Walk Home dates back to the Times Fades Away era. Still waiting for my boxset to arrive. Anyone in the UK received theirs yet?
Good luck. Mine has been 'Packing' since Wednesday and has not shipped. Nothing will happen until next week now.
Dume is incredible. Version of Hawaii, Ride my lama, etc with Crazy Horse. Unexpected.
I have been soaking in the new songs on the website as I wait for the box set to arrive. Here’s my question: The Wikipedia page for Archives 2 lists Ocean Girl, Midnight On The Bay, and Human Highway as CSNY tracks, but on the NYA file cabinet cards, only Human Highway lists Crosby and Nash-the other 2 just Stills-Young. Anybody know which is correct?
Label was created yesterday, Nov. 19, according to the Greedy Hand website for my order... I'm in Canada, so I won't have it before next week, damn! And it says UPS, the worst company ever, who charged me 160$ in brokerage fees for the 250$ Tom Petty Wildflowers 9LP box set... Neil knows it, he wrote about this somewhere in the Times Contrarian, but he surely doesn't give a heck, so watch out the 160$ customs fees... gosh I hate them!
My ears tell me the info cards are correct for the two Human Highways - neither matches the beautiful CSNY version that Steven Barncard shared on Rust many years ago. Happy as a pig in shit listening but I would like to see the info cards without going to my desktop computer - can a cheap Chromebook run the desktop version of NYA?
The info cards say that both versions of Human Highway are both CSNY. I am confused about Ocean Girl and Midnight On The Bay-one source says they are from the sessions where Crosby and smash sang, ad the NYA info cards say they are versions where C&N were scrubbed.
Can verify that a Chromebook runs the desktop NYA with no problem.
Just wondering if anyone who bought NYA 2 has received the email and link to download the high res files?
Just received the physical edition today! Amazing... According to the enclosed book, both Ocean Girl and Midnight on the Bay are CSNY.
No download code today.
K
just head straight to The Old Homestead
holy crap these are the gems...
gonna smoke an extra bong hit tonight & open another bottle of red wine
thank you, Neil
Received my download code for high resolution download today.
Received my download code today.

My annoyance at lack of the physical box or download on release day has been tempered by the absolute magnificence of what I have been listening too through the night on the NYA site. Nothing tops mid 70's Neil Young, every disc has spell blinding gems to discover. I've barely touched the surface and am utterly enthralled by the content. It's going to take me several weeks to take this in fully. Simply blown away.
UNKNOWN, can I ask you if you're UK based please? I only ask as within the space of a few hours you've posted saying that your order was listed as "packing", and a few hours later you've received the physical item, which suggests that we're not being informed (as we were told we would be) of the item having been shipped. I plan on going out for a walk later (about as much fun as we can have under lockdown) and I don't want to miss a knock on the door.....
Incidentally, I'm no doubt one of the few who aren't a subscriber to the archives. I was very much looking forward to receiving my one year subscription as part of my purchase, which I was told would become active yesterday. I've heard nothing.......
Based in the Netherlands myself, according to UPS my boxset should arrive Monday the 23rd.
I've listened to a good chunk of disc 1 and the unreleased stuff on discs 3 and 5 yesterdays. Today I listened to disc 10. Received both the download code and the free subscription code. Physical box should arrive on Monday. Really happy with what I hear so far, even tough I've barely scratched the surface.

Get the impression it's the UK Greedy Hand store that hasn't issued the box or the codes. Keeping my thoughts to myself as no doubt my comment would be taken down
Just received my email for the hi res downloads, but I’ll have to wait until I buy a new computer before I can actually download the music. My old computer is just too full to accept that much data. In the mean time I plan to explore the website today and finally start listening to some of the music that’s now available to stream.
I just checked my tracking number with UPS and our box won’t arrive until next Wednesday the 25th. Fortunately I have that day off, so I’ll be able to dive in and immerse myself in the music through my stereo system.
I’m just a tad disappointed that the box wasn’t scheduled to ship before the 20th so we could all actually enjoy the product on release day, but hey, after waiting eleven years.... what’s a couple more days.
Peace 🙏
I've emailed the greedy hand twice about this, once yesterday and once again today. I've had no replies. I get that it's the weekend but, hey, we're only the paying customers after all....."be great or be gone".....greedy hand, you'd be best to go then.
Shouldn't complain this close to the finish line. But no email with my downloads, and my order (which I only was able to access cos a fellow rustie posted the link) still says packing. When you say a date, thats the date I get excited for. So if you don't hit it, then of course i'm gonna be disappointed. I know I could listen on the website, but I paid over £200 to listen to it the way I wanted to.
What's a few days waiting I keep telling myself.
As Unknown said the UK Greedy Hand Store has delivered precisely nothing. No box, no email, no download code etc....and when you email them they might or might not get back to you three or four days later with a response which doesn't answey your question anyway....why do they keep *ucking up!.....The Restlesss Consumer
So far I've streamed Disc 1, portions of TTN and Walk On, and all of 8 through 10. Dume is astounding. Looking forward to a marathon stream today.
As with Homegrown, my impatience with having to wait for it has been tempered by the quality of the music now that it's finally here. $20 a year is an absolute bargain.
I don't expect to be as wowed by Volume III whenever that arrives, but I've been wrong before. For now, I will relish all the gems on Volume II and enjoy writing the blog post about it all (shameless plug).

Angry UK store user here too - also "packing". I've booked a couple of days off work to be able to receive the box safely and listen to it... Not likely to even begin to see anything until Monday - so do I cancel my leave, and then it turns up? don't and then it turns up later in the week when I'm not aboout to receive it? An email just expaining what is gonig on (andd giving the downloads) would be the very least customer servicce I would expect. As someone esle said, "Be great or be gone"....
I've been kicked off the Greedy Hand site several times during the download process...but who cares really?
How in the world did 'One More Sign' just sit in the vault for 46 years?
'but now I don't know how'
oh my God
and 'Through My Sails' is simply breathtaking...love the CSN harmonies on Zuma but The Old Homestead version here tops that by a mile
wow...just wow
One more sign is a buffalo Springfield demo, also in vol. 1.
yes but this piano version...floors me
I ordered from Canadian store. I received yesterday the code for downloading the whole archives vol II, which I did on my laptop.
My first surprise is that all downloaded songs from Disc 10 (Odeon Budokan (1976)) have each a file name with "(Live from Hammersmith Odeon, London)", no matter the song. Strange!
Am I the only one who experiences this issue?
It might have not been too much work to assign the correct venue for each.
Regarding the box set, I have received nothing regarding sending and delivery in France.
Tomorrow is a long, long time when you're a memory.
Saw that as well, info cards give the correct recording location though. Probably mistake when creating the metadata. Haven't checked if it's actually the same track, but I assume it is.
One more sign is also in the Buffalo Springfield box set.
Another Odeon Budokan question - Is this disc also officially Volume 6 of the Archives Performance Series as well as being part of Archives, Vol. II? Has this been confirmed yet?
Hi All,
Archives access alert. During today I found my Unlimited access had disappeared from my login account.
There is now a Note on the Archives home page saying:
"Hello. Some of you are experiencing technical issues. We apologize for the trouble.
We have our team working on it and will have these issues resolved ASAP".
So if you have access problems it sounds like they are aware. It's 10:30pm in the UK so I'm about to turn in for the night and hopefully it'll all be sorted by my morning.
On second listen through of Disc 1 - not going to binge listen anything here. Just want to make it last as long as possible.
Hambone in the UK
My download code email arrived last night (Friday) at 10 pm, keeping the Release Day promise.
Didn't see it till today.
NYA vl 2 downloaded to my computer. It takes up a lot of space, but it is good to have it at last.
Human Highway on disk 1--wow.
I bought my box from the Canadian store. No idea when it will be delivered.
The music is amazing.

Here's The Guardian's take, for the interested.
@Dan Swan--I sympathize with the technology challenges. I had my hard drive replaced last month and there's still occasional adjusting and tweaking going on. Archives II will undoubtedly end up adding to the data load.
My box arrived Friday around 2 p.m. Was all I could do to resist chucking work for the rest of the day and if I hadn't had a report due and a late meeting, I probably would have.
Popped the first disc in the player and was simply blown away. Just amazing. I have to say that the mix is stellar, and John Hanlon has clearly shown once again why he is the best in the business.
Have been listening to the rest over the course of today, though I've skipped Roxy, Tuscaloosa, and Homegrown, for obvious reasons. And I just completed the download -- for those clearing out some hard drive space, you'll need just over 20 GB!
The book is nice, but not $90 nice, which is essentially the extra cost for the box with book vs with the booklet in the retail version available in March. I'd happily forgo several pages of pix of handwritten lyric sheets for some thoughtful reflections by Neil or a meaty essay by a good music journalist.
But, the music, oh the music, is divine.
Pre-ordered my retail copy and will wait for it to arrive in the far timeline horizon of april 2021, pandemic allowing..
All is all is not a totally cheap affair, considering the already issued and duly bought Tuscaloosa + Homegrown + Roxy, but I keep assuming that these five years have been the worst (human-wise) and the best (artist-wise) of Neil's so far and so -- I simply could have not escape from the box :-)
I’m still waiting for my box which has been shipped from American store to the uk (so I’m not complaining). Any word on the ‘certificate of authenticity’? Is it hand signed by Neil as I’d hoped?!
All the appreciation in the world I have for the masterful compilation they have crafted here. Each disc has its vibe, and most of the songs flow beautifully one to the next. But I can't help missing key cuts left out of the set, like "See the Sky About to Rain" from On The Beach and the Time Fades Away's "Last Dance." In the context of Archives Vol. II, I want to hear the albums in full and original sequence. To achieve this effect, I've drafted a playlist that incorporates the studio albums into the whole scope of Neil Young Archives Vol. II while not disturbing too much the run of the collection's track order. Songs are juxtaposed to allow for cueing CDs up DJ-style (or using two browser tabs). Vinyl may be substituted where available.
Tuscaloosa and Time Fades Away are placed inside Disc 1: Everybody's Alone. Boozy Tonight's The Night session tracks tease the record as it sits on the shelf; our first experience of the album is the entire Roxy live set. "Winterlong" leads into On The Beach, "Bad Fog of Loneliness" forever an outtake closing it out.
We would've gotten Homegrown next if not for Neil pulling it at the last hour, so here it is. Keeping that long-awaited album intact means we must pull back around for another view of unreleased 1974 - "Greensleeves" and the entirety of Disc 6: The Old Homestead. Now that its album art contributors On The Beach and Homegrown have been experienced in full, it's time for the release of Tonight's The Night proper, with "Borrowed Tune" cousin "Traces" bridging the way and as an encore bonus, "Raised on Robbery."
Fast forwarding after a historically-imposed rewind, we breeze CSNY's "Through My Sails" right into the restored magnificence of Dume, which today houses every song of the legendary Zuma. Now that Crazy Horse are really back, we can't forget their crunchy take on "Homegrown" as we leap from 75 to 76 with Disc 9: Look Out for My Love. Halfway through this final disc of studio and live cuts rest the two sets of the new Odeon Budokan Disc 10 presentation, chronologically resolving into the final version of "Stringman," "Mediterreanean," and the restored CSNY collaborations that serve to conclude this humble playlist. I hope you try out this running order and enjoy the expanded journey of the Archives Vol. II as I am.
