Last week, we reported on a new feature on Neil Young's Archives, a "Song of the Day".
Today, Neil Young writes on NYA Times-Contrarian that the "Song of the Day" is "Country Home", along with the tantalizingly tasty tidbit:

Super the last feature on the Song of the day which for the time of Paris changes the afternoon ...... but hope that this message is not immediately a reality ............
For the film Paradox it is devastating for us to have to go through an enormous platform and we have to give financial references to access the Paradox, .... patience ....... I wait to see the video Neil Young and Promise Of Real have put on the canvas I love this piece Peace Trail which is played differently on the Vinyl. Go back to the barn to listen before falling asleep under the moon ..

I am presuming this little tease means that ALCHEMY is COMPLETE and ready for RELEASE!!
Would love to see the Horse cranking their craft in person again sometime soon though.
Hopefully the film of the Melbourne show gets a guernsey for release too,
and Neil and the Horse get back down under again.
Next southern summer sounds perfect for that.
And that would mean a new album too, so bring it on!
Hoping this means he will record with Crazy Horse and that Alchemy is ready for release. Good news indeed!

I go to the archives everyday on my phone.All you do is go to the upper right and hit the three dots and hit the desktop site and log in. I have a feeling he's recording with Crazy Horse and Alchemy Live is a summer release.
This Crazy Horse post causes an endorphin rush, which is immediately met with the emergence of my seasoned Neilitude which whispers, "Don't get excited until the tickets are in hand and Poncho is safely off the tour bus.

I'm fully ready for the Promise of the Horse! Now, that's Real! Bring it on, and none too soon, either.
His comment probably means nothing other than “here is a recording I made with Crazy Horse.”
Distant Sky is the new greatest concert film ever. Just back from the showing in Providence (thanks Cable Car Cinema!) and I was completely entranced, astounded and blown away. Nick Cave is so in-the-moment for every single second and the emotional impact is just beyond limits.
And, of course, Bring On The Horse!
Plus, Rox TtN is due in... eight?... days now. Could easily be referring to that.
Personally, I'm ready for Alchemy, Toast, and whatever else is waiting in the wings.
"Rox" above should of course refer to Roxy, my shorthand for the upcoming NYAPS release. Obnoxious typo and no editing functionality.
I may be late to the party on this subject but here goes nothing.
Roxy with the horse is a three sided LP of the best cuts from a multi night run.
The Zappa Family Trust just released a 7 cd box set from the Rocy with every show complete with sound checks rehearsals and studio outtakes.
Am I the only one who sees a problem here???
Please Neil.... I’m almost 62 years old. Can’t we just get on with it and stop the tease and release everything you got. I will gladly pay any price you want, but could we get it before I die?

@Dan Swan-- No, not the only one. Drips and drops... none of us getting any younger... what's the Plan here anyway? I understand and sympathize.
Of course, there are differences between Neil and Frank. The biggest being, of course, that any official Neil Young Product is curated and overseen by Neil Young. Unfortunately, Frank isn't here to design his releases personally. That can make a large difference in how one's legacy is managed and marketed. One assumes the Zappa Family Trust is mindful of Frank's wishes (I'm not sure if he left any detailed instructions; he seems like the type who might have done so...), but sometimes the vaults are emptied quicker when the artist is no longer with us.
Sad to say, death increases market value. Aside from present company (aka Certified Neil-o-holics), how much of a market is there currently for large-scale, potentially expensive Neil Young archival releases? There's a school of thought that, as of recent years, NY already saturates the market with more than enough product for most consumers. And unless and until Reprise (or someone else) sees dollar signs, major box set-type releases may be difficult. Record companies can (usually) rely on a new album from a classic rocker to have a bit of momentum in the market, but big multi-disc compilations of archival material that can be costly to make and distribute?
Then there's the real X Factor--or perhaps I should call it the NY Factor: what does Neil Want? WWND, if you please. Anything that comes out through proper channels at present will be on Neil's terms. I'm not sure what those are. I don't know that he's ever been completely clear about plans and intentions. And of course, as we're not shareholders in a Neil Young Corporation, there's no obligation for any sort of transparency. Relative to the pace of work in previous years, however, we have seen a glut of activity in the recent months. This does give me some hope that whatever direction things may be headed in, at least we're moving. Is there really a better alternative, at this point, than to wait and see?
