Listened to the 1989 and 2001 shows today. Superb new feature on NYA, this has so much potential.
I was at the Stockholm show and have a great sounding bootleg of that gig. Curious about how the soundboard sounds. I also have the Belfast gig - which is great.
I was attending the Paris show and I remember that it was a great show, though we were not that many in the theater. Indeed the show was planned to be made in another larger venue.
This is really a great initiative as the bootleg is incomplete and does not render justice to the show.
Such a new feature really gives additional value for membership and hopefully many thrashers will join
I would really appreciate having one show from the '93 European Tour with Booker T. and the MGs.
The 2014 European tour was also great, by the way with a memorable final show in Colmar, France, next to Germany. 3 months later, Rick Rosas passed away. A video of the whole show already exists.
I've got stacks of boots, can't beat a soundboard recording though. I was impressed with both, going to listen to the remaining three shows tomorrow.
Listened to the 2001 show in full and most of the 2016 show. The electric set from 2016 with Words, DBTR is just superb. I was at the ziggo dome later that tour, for the longest Neil Young concert ever, so I'm surely going to request that and the 2008 show in Amsterdam. I love this new feature!
Hi all, sorry to be posting something so unrelated, I hope Thrasher forgives me and that one of you can help please. Does anyone know how to log into the greedy hand store (UK) and check up on an order please? I appreciate that I'm probably missing something that is staring me in the face but I can't seem to find a way in. Sorry again to interrupt this thread. Best wishes to everyone, stay well.
The name of the new Rust (NYA membership) echoes digital pre-history and to me appears to be a belated acknowledgement of the achievements of Re*ac*tor David Lybrand.
Don't think the UK store is working. There is no music on there to purchase, the page is empty. No links to sign in. Another cock up
I was also at Ziggo 2016 and have requested it.

Dionys,
Not just a nod to Re*ac*tor, but maybe also Dan Farmer, the host of Rust@death - the original NY email list in the mid-90s. (joined 1995).
Hambone in the UK
Excellent new feature with the concerts.
FYI, if you want to fast forward you'll need to use the upper right corner timeline counter.
I wasn't able to click on a song title to leap to next tune after I had logged off and returned. Thought I was in Buffalo again for the Paris '89 Solo/Pancho/Longrain show. The timeline features are expanding and are awesome!
I've heard of that, but that was before I went online on a regular basis. All of that seems to be so long ago, now. But then I 've been reading NYA's invitation to send in proposals for favourite shows and I started to remember this 1987 show in Munich (one of the shows documented in Muddy Track) and it all seems like yesterday: the endless rain during these tour weeks and a really violent resurrection of the Horse blasting away the anger about an undersold concert series.
@oldblack I posted that link, got it slightly wrong, should be https://neilyoung.warnerartists.net/uk/customer/account/login
I have also lost the login icon off the store but figured out the URL to get to it. I tried emailing Warners but they were useless.
Thanks for the help, much appreciated, and sorry again for the distraction from the thread! xx
Listened to the 2009 and 2013 shows today. Both superb, highlights being the 2009 arrangement of Pocahontas and Walk Like A Giant from 2013 which still blows be away that he had the audacity to do that on stage in arena's. Also recommend listening to the album history rap prior to Cinnamon Girl, never heard him do that at a gig before.
Looking forward to some 2016 NY & POTR tomorrow.
I’m going backwards with them. So far listened to the POTR show, the Crazy Horse show, and most of the His Electric Band show. The 2013 is my favorite of these. You just can’t replicate that Alchemy!
In other news, is anyone else surprised they’re rolling out the Archives II discs one at a time on the site? I'd thought they’d all be hitting the site at once, on Friday, but it looks like only Disc 1 will be there.
It gets better, only the people that pre ordered the initial deluxe box will be able to download the hi res files. The rest will have to wait until March 5.
Meanwhile, all the playlists that I have spent months curating have completely vanished from my account. Hopefully those exist somewhere in the webs and will be returned soon without a scratch.
No you're no missing something, the site is missing a log in link. Duh. I screwed around until I finally got in...ar and the mulberry bush!!
You can also Log in via https://eurostore.warnermusic.com/
by the time I met Bill Graham hed about had enough of trouble at Dead shows. It would get worse of course. Cal Expo Sac Ca. Hed patroled to parking for hours in his golf cart. . We fans are filing in hes standing alone everyone intimated. I walk up say Youre a great man. he says Thank you. we shake hands. I swiftly like a male black widow spider getting away get back in line. non sequiter my apologies kind and gentle people
NYA Vol.2 release day arrives, on Greedy Hand it has been saying 'packing' against my order since Tuesday, I know it is a big box, but 3 days? :-)
No sign of an email to download the HiRes files yet either. Hope I'm wrong but not expecting either to land today. Hey ho, the usual shenanigans of being a NY fan.
@Andrew: mine is now listed as being shipped when I check the order status, however, no confirmation mail or link to the hi-res yet. Then again, what's one more day after 11 years.
Mine still saying Packing after a few days. Looks like next week.
Putting aside for the moment the issue of covid POSSIBLY causing delays to us receiving our box sets, the customer care here is woeful. The folks at greedy hand have had ample time to notify us that our orders would be delayed, and given the amount of money we've all parted with it's the least they could have done. Today is release day, and as pre-orders the site says that they will be with us on release day. I gather nobody has heard anything nor had any kind of update. My order is still listed as "not shipped / packing." We shouldn't have to be chasing our orders when the greedy hand hasn't fulfilled it's obligations to us, they should have been in contact with us, apologising and keeping us up to date. If this is how they operate then I don't think I'll be bothering again. Private sellers on ebay and on Amazon have to perform better than this or we'd give them bad feedback, we can't do that in the case of the greedy hand, all we can do is spend our money elsewhere. GRRR!!! stay safe x
Also, my order on UK store is still "packing"... We are friday, at the end of the afternoon, I don't expect any change before monday...
On NYA, I'm sure I've seen a message, a couple of hours ago, saying that all the Archives will be available TODAY at 9 am pacific time on Xstream but I've just checked now and the message has changed: TOMORROW is mentioned (without any time).
If I could imagine shipping is a little bit delayed, I don't understand for the streaming... Not professional...
By the way, a sneak preview of an Ambulance Blues outtakes is streamed on NYA... But why this is not on the Archives 2
Or is it a new concept ? Archives' outtakes ?
It seems it is 17:00 UK time when NYA Vol.2 is going live on the archives site. Fingers crossed emails with download links go out at the same time. Somehow I doubt that will happen.
The Greedy Hand is an utter shambles, customer services is beyond useless. When you are paying £210 you expect the release on the day it supposed to come out.
Also the login icon has gone missing of the UK store for loads of people, i had to fish around in the website source code to find a link that worked. I've emailed them about it and they won't even acknowledge there is an issue.
Yesterday the announcement was that only Disc 1 will be streaming on release day. Today the announcement is that ALL discs will be streaming... tomorrow.
@Andrew: that message went from 9am PST (17:00 UK) to 'tomorrow' to having disappeared from the Times Contrarian altogether. What a mess, again.
Ah well, can't be too upset about it. Patience is a virtue and looking at the reviews from Rolling Stone et. al. it's well worth the wait.

Archives 2 is on NYA !
Separate Ways on disc 9 is straight into my top 5 NY songs. Simply outstanding.
Total mystery how hole in the sky never made it to one of the recent albums it's a brilliant song.
I was at the Belfast show lots of clowns talking during quieter songs but when the show got louder it drowned out the idiots. Listened back to some of it earlier sounding great, some truly epic versions- Mr Soul, down by the river, love and only love.
I can't find the white markers to get to the concerts. Can anyone explain how to get to them? I would love to listen to those concerts. thank You.
