Wow the guy can't even leave a name and he's an idiot to boot neil used jack whites studio to do his "solo" covers album there is no duet with him.I'm sick and tired of hearing jerks like this guy calling neil names for fighting what he believes in.Once again he knows nothing as proved by the jack white comment do us all a favour go away. This is a community that supports and loves neil young and your not welcome take your crap elsewhere it's not appreciated here.As men I admire have said neils the American farmers best friend and to have him on your side is having a passionate partner in your fight. How many artists do you hear doing what he does he could of took that first bonus from buffalo springfield and pissed it away on Hollywood livins as many have but he invested it in a ranch that he could always return to for peace of mind pretty smart move I'd say. you say he wrote his book because he was broke ??too funny and his concern for record sales lol. You just don't have a clue do ya'. I hope neil and crazy horse blow yer head off next time your there your a sad pathetic person with no vision and your jealousy for a true human being with it is comical.keep it up neil we back you 110%
Huh?
Human Highway,
I only write what I perceive and that it looks like it's about getting his electric car out to the masses. It wasn't getting any traction prior to this quest (still isn't) and its been years & lots of money spent on it.
The show seems to promoting his cellar door album which is fine, a bit of a throw back to the late 60" shows. His music was and is still second to none. I'm a huge fan of his music and have supported him since the the early 70's. I've bought his music been to a tone of his shows, film opening's and gave (still give) to the bridge school. The Massey show seemed stale to me.
I don't know where you live but our hydro bill and taxes have sky rocketed. Why you ask? Because some asshole who is not a scientist spewed crap about global warming and that green energy was the way to go. He created this bubble we find ourselves in and Neil is still pumping it.
That's my opinion just like Neil has his. I will still follow his muse and charitable causes that I believe in.
Not pumping just trying to be subjective
Funny thing is all the irresponsible news companies keep putting people on who's only comment is that Neil is a rich rockstar and uses lots of gas. I haven't heard one news story that mentions the fact that Neil drove across the continent without using a drop of oil. Here in Toronto CBC and AM640 have both let ignorant commentators have the last word which was, 'ya, why doesn't Neil tell us how he got to Fort Mac, rich rockstar'. Comments like this actually make people think Neil is a hypocrite. He is not, he puts his money where his mouth is.
Why don't we spread the real news. If one man can accomplish this with one car, then just imagine what the big oil and big auto companies could do it they just gave one shit about our future and creating an alternative fuel source.
Keep speaking Neil.

Honor the treaties. Simple message, don't you think? Did Regina come out for these remarkable people who have been tresspassed against one too many times throughout human history. Honor the treaties. Seek out alternative renewable energies that do not desecrate the land, soil, and air. It's not rocket science. It's the right thing to do!
Wake up Regina and show us some love!
Unrepentant Young stands by statements (with video)

Young has made comments that compare the development to Hiroshima and, on Friday, chuckled when asked if that was insensitive.
“Oh, I feel terrible, I really do. To be insensitive and be a rock ‘n’ roll star, what could be worse?” he said, tongue planted firmly in cheek.
“I’m not concerned about that. I stand by what I said.”

Sounds like a great show!!
Negative Man
yeah, it's me, that simpleton who likes to chill and listen to Neil, oh and attack people with my amazing negative energy. Too bad we can't bottle some of that up and run my damn car off it. Guess I'll just keep buying GAS so I can get to work everyday.
I think the oil and gas companies know what can be done to get off of oil. They sure knew about it in the 70's when we all had to crawl down the highway going 55 mph. All those decades. Look how far we've come. Knowledge is great but money outweighs everything.
Maybe we should be focusing on curing greed and then everything else would just fall into place?
God Bless Neil Young!!
The only cure for "greed" is a change in our own attitude about helping others. The change begins with you, Mr. Negativity.
Let's all encourage our government officials to seek out alternative renewable and life-sustaining energy resources without destroying our planet or breaking treaties.
We can also be encouraging and supporting individuals like Neil Young and other groups who are all working towards finding a solution to bring clean and efficient energies that will not poison our water, soil, and air.
@ Anonyman, 6:58 am. Here's what you said,"... but our hydro bill and taxes have sky rocketed. Why you ask? Because some asshole who is not a scientist spewed crap about global warming and that green energy was the way to go. He created this bubble we find ourselves in and Neil is still pumping it."
The reason why your energy bills have skyrocketed is because greedy King Petrol and King Coal are spending tons of money to undermine their competition. They know that when given the choice, people will choose to invest in cleaner fuel and energy for their homes and cars.
I don't encourage politicians. I demand, I inform, I instruct, and I educate them. I tell them what I want. I don't personally care what they want. They're there for me and you, not the other way around. These assholes are supposed to be OUR mouth pieces, nor corporate instruments of destruction and profit.
Ok, back to our regularly scheduled programming.
True, Sony. When the risk outweighs the benefits, then we must demand they respond.
Government officials have to know how incredibly ridiculous and irresponsible they look stating that what looks and smells like a post-apocalyptic nightmare is justified in the name of economic development.
Really, this is the best we can do? After all we've been through?
C,mon, Regina, Show us some love and send us a line!
Anonymous dig yourself in deeper "an asshole spewed about climate change" checked the weather lately ??.When was the last time we had a regular year of weather hurricane Katrina, sandy, and more of the same to come icebergs in Alaska melting in a year that used to take 10 years.WAKE THE F UP!!.Neil's not reinventing the wheel he speaking out about things were all concerned over and yeah he's got the fame to be heard all your little conspiracy theories are comical played massey hall to promote sales of his album ?? he's spoken out numerous times that he could care less about album sales maybe it's a great place to play what artist doesn't go back to places that sound great ?.Countless reviews raving on how great this show is and as far as I've seen your the only one putting it down yet ?.Go away into that little hole you live in and spare us your jealousy.By the way anybody got a review on the show ?."WE GOT MOTHER NATURE ON THE RUN"
Neil doesn't even show both sides of the story. He's no different in that regard than the government, except they focus on the other extreme. We're being spoon fed little bits and pieces by both sides. There's more to the picture than meets the eye.
Mother, if it was only that simple that someone in power actually gives a shit what you or me think. Corporations run the world. We can collectively change them with our wallets, but they honestly don't care about our "attitudes". You ready to quit buying gas? I am but I still have to get to work.
So hey Regina, how was the freakin' show anyway?!

The Regina show was a terrific evening starting with Diana Krall. This is the fifth time I've seen Neil now starting with the International Harvesters back in the mid eighties. Never have I seen him so talkative. Was surprised when he said that he wrote Love in Mind when he was in Regina in around 1969. The small venue and great acoustics of the hall made for a memorable evening. Mr Soul on the pump organ, Pocahontas with lyrics incl Stephen Harper,Southern Man.... so many great tunes and arrangements I've never heard make it impossible to pick a favorite. Neil, Long May You Run.....
