"Crazy Horse personnel would like to wish you all a big thank you tonight.
We hope you travel safely when you leave this building. We hope to see you somewhere the next time. We know some of you have children, and we hope they’re home sleeping soundly without a worry in the world, ready to have a good time tomorrow. And we do know we’re lucky to be here with you. The next time we meet we may not all be here so let’s thank each other for being here tonight.
From all Crazy Horse personnel, our entire crew, we want to remind you; don’t leave anything behind because tomorrow someone else will be here."
This was the greatest gig I have have ever had the pleasure to experience, bar none. Thanks Unknown!
Despite Neil's claims to the contrary, the band treated us to an extraordinary mind blowing performance. There are not enough adjectives in the English language to describe just how magnificent Neil and the Horse were tonight. The sound acoustics and staging were superb throughout and the set list perfect. Particular highlights were the epic Ramada Inn, a sublime reading of Blowin' In The Wind, the poignant Red Sun, the powerhouse Hey, Hey and the crowd pleasing garage of F@@kin' Up. I never thought it was possible to reach such a transcendental high at a gig.
This was a full two and half hours of brilliance from masters of their craft. Roll on the next one in London in August.

I will not do everything I set out to achieve in my life but tonight I saw Neil Young and for that I am truly grateful. Hey hey, my my :)
— altepper (@altepper) June 17, 2013
@Guardian Neil Young 5 stars? You must be joking! @ O2 - self-indulgent feedback and guitar twaddle. Forever young - but not Neil, sadly
— Trevor Moore (@HappyHumanistUK) June 17, 2013
Neil Young. Sensational and inspiring. Roadies in lab coats and plastic bags blown on during a 'rain storm'. We got hey hey my my. Very big.
— Sean Hamilton (@hamiltonsean) June 17, 2013
@psmith It was a typical Neil Young show. Scaling the heights, but with periods of self indulgence. Former worth the latter any day
— Simon Mares (@SimonMaresITV) June 17, 2013
So basically Neil Young is the only person to make me cry in the history of my gig going. Proper tears. Fat sobbing tears.

UPDATE: The reaction to the reaction of of Neil Young & Crazy Horse in Dublin has become news itself across Ireland: Neil Young and great expectations | On The Record.
Fantastic concert from Neil Young in the RDS tonight. What a performer!
— Jim Carney (@Chimbob) June 16, 2013
@NialOFarrell Neil Young was more interested in having 20 min feedback session with his amp after every song than playing his music : ((((
— Cormac (@CmolloyW) June 16, 2013
What was that wafting through the air at the RDS Arena last night? It was the smell of disappointment, as 18,000 Neil Young fans came to the slow and painful realisation that the man in black on stage was there only to please himself and not the modest attendance at the 30,000 capacity venue.
Neil Young can be stubbornly self-indulgent at the best of times, yet fans still held out hope that he might dust off a few of his best-known tunes on this tour, with his long-standing band, Crazy Horse.
Soon it was back to the long jam-outs on Ramada Inn, from the new album, and the very pedestrian Fuckin’ Up. In fairness, Young is a cracking lead guitarist, and he has a telepathic rapport with his Crazy Horse bandmates. You won’t hear better jamming this side of a Grateful Dead tour. But at this stage everybody was feeling the guitar solo fatigue, and by the time Young tossed the crowd a sweet treat in the form of Cinnamon Girl, it was too late. The chance to bond with one of rock’s towering heroes was lost. For many, The Grateful Dead once represented the ultimate concert experience. To have one's jams compared favorably to The Grateful Dead's long, jazzy, trippy jams is the supreme compliment. Furthermore, anyone notice the title of Neil Young & Crazy Horse's latest album? "Psychedelic Pill". Try maybe playing the album before attending your next Neil concert, maybe? That way, when Neil and The Horse hit stride with long, jazzy, improvised, trippy jams, they won't be surprised and shocked.

— Alex O'Farrell (@ofarrell79) June 15, 2013
Neil Young, you absolute hero. I may have been wet and cold and hungover, but none of that mattered when you played Cortez the Killer.

Neil Young wasn't great tonight but people complaining because he didn't play Harvest material are being ridiculous.
— Ian Maleney (@ianmaleney) June 15, 2013
@ianmaleney Neil Young could have given Crazy Horse a break for half an hour and played some of his better known songs to please fans.
— Éidín (@ederoiste) June 16, 2013
Neil Young's set was powerful, dark, ferocious. This has long been in his kitbag, he's godfather of grunge FFS Guess some just want Harvest.

— Stephen B (@holdencaul) June 16, 2013
Incredibly, the reaction to Neil Young in Dublin has been hostile on twitter and was muted in the stadium. They're wrong.

Young, who had performed the previous night at the Birmingham LG Arena, arrived at Meridian's Cambridgeshire HQ with his entourage in two tour buses, and as well as the meeting with Stuart, had a variety of demonstrations of Meridian systems, including a session in the Meridian Digital Theatre, a visit to the company's new Experience Centre, and a ride in a Meridian-equipped Range Rover Vogue.See more at EXCLUSIVE: Neil Young visits Meridian – Pono hi-res music link-up imminent? | whathifi.com.

Absolutely astounding! Thanks Jevon ! Good to hear you enjoyed the concert. Thanks for sharing.
If you're lucky enough to see work by Hockney or Tarantino, you wouldn't tell them how to paint or shoot movies, would you? Sometimes you just have to roll up, watch a master at work and thank your lucky stars you've been invited.
The gig was Neil in all his Ragged Glory. Grunge? Check. Rock n Roll? Check. Feedback? Check. Wilful determination to test his audience? Check. One of the greatest of modern day musicians on top form? Check, check and double check... with an egg on top.
Fuckin Up, Love to Burn, Cortez, Cinnamon Girl, Powderfinger, Heart of Gold, My My Hey Hey, Walk Like a Giant... and so much more.
Simply awesome. Late sixties and still so much to give, so much brio, so much spirit.
The fire was in his eyes at the end. You could tell it had been a great gig.
One word of warning - if you have only 'Harvest' in your cd collection and want to tick off a Neil Young gig then you may be in for an ear-bleeding surprise.
But just go... go and wonder at the genius.
Enjoy Glasgow. I'm envious.
