Great cover by Jeff Tweedy and Avi Buffalo. The festival was fantastic as was Wilco's performance the night before. Tweedy is right up there with Neil and Dylan as far as I'm concerned. Wilco's cover of Broken Arrow is spot on. I haven't heard too many singers who can cover Neil's songs as well as Tweedy.
Wallyworld- fellow Wallingford resident, I take it? Small world!
How ya doin' man?
There would be no Wilco without Neil and The Beatles. I love me some Wilco, but Tweedy has gone soft lately. Not sure I'm ready to elevate him to Neil and Bob status just yet. Hell, Neil stole a lot from the Beatles early on himself, until he found his legs.
I got kicked off of the viachicago Wilco forum defending Neil. Yeah, I got a little carried away. They pissed me off. What can I say. If Cherry Ghost or whatever your name is reads these forums, I'm back bitch, you just don't know it!
Oh yeah, great cover by Tweedy. I've seen Wilco 4 times and Tweedy solo once so I really do like them a lot. Just to be clear.

Actually, from Milford. Doing pretty good. I got kicked off VC for a few weeks myself for posts in a political thread. They take themselves too seriously over there. I just post music related info there now. No time to argue politics anymore.
Yeah, politics is a rough discussion, especially these days it seems. It's all a game of bashing the other team, meanwhile we got some pretty heavy problems goin' on. I think people have been fed lies for so long most don't know what to believe anymore. At least that's how I feel. What's fact anymore?
I dig Wilco man. They got a great sound. Love Summer Teeth, Being There, and A Ghost is Born.
Seeing Wilco open for Neil at MSG from the front row was definitely a pleasure
At times, I've almost been ready to put Tweedy up there too with Neil and Bob but lets give him another 20 years and see what happens? I'm thankful that he came around when he did. He filled a huge void in todays musical landscape. That early stuff up until the last few albums was killer.
He's way under appreciated for sure. But that's what makes Wilco so great. You can get up and close and personal and their live show is always excellent. If they had the success they deserve, that would all go away so I have a lot of fondness for that band.
But nothing matches the buzz I get from Neil. There's nothing else out there that even compares. He's in a class by himself. We're so lucky he still feels the "muse". Can't wait to hear Le Noise.
