I think the emotional subject matter, the new and old footage coupled with the musical performance will make this a very important film.
It will also proove in years to come to be a key peice of primary evidence for future historians studying these paradoxically and somewhat conflicting times. Similar in value to the poetry of Siegfried Sassoon or Wilfred Owen. History tells us to learn from the past. By drawing on parallels from the Vietnam conflict this film will show that mankind often fails to fully value the power of reflection on previous mistakes.
I am looking forward to the full film and think Deja Vu will be Neils greatest film.
