FLASHBACK: Opening The Neil Young Archives Vol #1 Video
Here's a bit of a trip down memory lane on Neil Young Archives Vol. #1, as well as, a pretty amusing video of the opening of The Archives Box.
From a posting in 2010, it's from Jay "SONY" (Speakin' Out in New York") and was shot by his 11 year old son.
We're
posting this mainly for the running commentary by Jay's son who has --
shall we say -- a bit of healthy skepticism for the whole NYA thing. As
Jay writes, "I wish I could bottle that outlook and perspective and
pour it back over him when he gets away from it."
As noted back in original post comments, anyone else think the kid in the video sounds a bit like the kid sitting with the "card trick guy" near the beginning of the film "Journey Through The Past"?
Thanks SONY! Still enjoying NYA?! And, who knows? Maybe did we have a future Neil fan in the making? How's that boy of yours now? A man by now.
Note: That the split screen special effect is not a problem with your YouTube connection.

Hi Thrasher!
Hey, thanks for the post! Was checking in on some of the AG banter recently and ventured
back to the original.
I laughed some more when I watched it again. I re-read the comments too, all good stuff.
Thanks for checking in. Hope you are safe and healthy. Hope we can get out of here alive
sometime!!
The little man is 22 now, great kid, very kind and thoughtful. But his heart
is gold!
Take care my friend!

Hey; thrasher.... Not to derail attention from the video. But can we take a moment to salute Helen Reddy? “I am woman...” has entered the pop culture lexicon, and it seems particularly apropos to remember and celebrate women of rock in the current social climate.
☮️
ok, sure, thanks Meta Rocker.
hadn't heard the news and just mentioned to thrashette. another sad passing to observe.
Rust in Peace Helen.
This was what I was looking for, thanks for the information and for your article.
