Bob Dylan Covers "Old Man" by Neil Young (2X)
Neil Young and Bob Dylan
With all ears on this week's release of Neil Young’s ‘Live at the Cellar Door’, one of the key tracks is "Old Man".
The much beloved song "Old Man" made it's first performance in front of an audience at Washington, DC's Cellar Door concerts in 1970. While many, many have covered the song, here's Bob Dylan covering "Old Man" by Neil Young in 2002.

Great singing Bob!!!! Also the harmony was nicely done!!! I love this song, it is one of my favorites! This is my first time hearing and seeing this! I never knew Bob sang this at any of his concerts. Really impressed!!! :)
These are interesting. I like #2 better than #1 and it is the FIRST I've ever heard this song done in a band format.
After hearing the Cellar Door version streamed last week or so here on TW, I thought 'hey, I never hear Neil do that song ELECTRIC' So I went to the basement, turned on the 8 track machine and laid it out on my Neil Young signed strat. Pretty wild, and with a bit more oomph and volume, it was actually easier to hit the vocal in the chorus. Some things just don't get old, man.
Bob covering Neil, that puts it all together for me.
I dispute the YT comment "better than the original" Don't You ???
Yeah, Neil Young is so much better than Bob Dylan. ;)
@ Sony: Neil did play The Needle and the Damage Done on a distorted electric guitar a couple of years back. Sounded not so good, though.
I like # 1 better but both are good. 1 has a certain "funk step" to it. Did I just make that up ? lol Reminds me Ol Bob is way over due for a BSB "Fall Classic" appearance at Ol Neil's annual event.
love you bobby!! his voice is shot to hell now but i still love seeing him play
