Can anyone tell me if I can watch this on an iPad YouTube app? There is a Live section in the menu, but the Bridge School does not appear on the list of streams. When searching for Bridge School Concert I just get the prerecorded videos...
Or better yet, directly on the YouTube app on AppleTV?
According to the countdown clock the webcast starts at 4:30
Awesome that Bridge is doing this webcast. Hope everyone that can pitches in 10 or 20 for this great cause. Even with the webcast you get the feeling Neil is looking at you when he gives that look :)
having a blast watching the show!!!
Thanks Thrasher
Neil said free ride. Then snickered. He has an opinion.
WOW, QOTSA = talent. Mucho.
csny...oops. it's supposed to be harmony. G checking his watch?
Stills stole the set with his new song. Very nice. CSNY sucked. Don't think there will be a tour. They seemed uncomfortable and out of sync. And Neil had to play that damn Singer Without a Song, right after Stills shined too. It was Stephen's night. He deserves to shine. Not quite as washed up as some people would have you think!
Stills is way off on Just a Song. The harmonies aren't that good, especially on Singer without a Song (otherwise a great song).
Crosby keeps fucking up during the intro of Deja Vu. Not a very rehearsed show.
Neil, you don't need 'em.
Sorry for everybody that was hoping for a 2014 CSNY..it is not happening. No chemistry at all. Was it me or did we see Neil give Graham "the look" when he sang "How could people get so unkind." After watching that I vote to eat a peach and a Stills Young Band tour as Stephen and Neil looked to be enjoying playing together.
Great show! May have been the best!. I was blown away by Fun. I didn't expect them to be anything special. I was incorrect. Arcade Fire? Wow!. Queens was another surpise.
Anonymous, do you always look for the worst in everything? i feel really sorry for you. Your life must be very frustrating. God bless you and find a way to reach thanksgiving. It's better on that side.
Neil and Peggy, thank you for another magical night.
I agree Mike it is cheap for us to criticize when these guys give it their all, but when we are used to excellence from Neil and the best in the art of music we get disappointed when we get anything less in our opinions. However opinions r like assholes, everyone has one.....
The muse is a funny thing.
As you can see, we have made a rebroadcast of Saturday's show available for viewing.
It is here embedded on the top of the page.
The rebroadcast continues thru Wednesday.
thanks for watching and thank you for your support of the Bridge School.

Sad news today : Lou Reed has left us. Not just a perfect day this sunday
Just had a quick skip through the CSNY set, didn't sound too awful to me. A bit rough around the edges as they tend to be now, and SJBE was a bit ropey, but didn't detect anything off with some of the standards, Long May You Run, Human Highway etc. Just maybe need some more rehearsal time?!
Highlight of the CSNY set to me was "What are there names?" with Neil intentionally putting on his hoodie. #dontforgettrayvon
First CSNY show in what- 8 years? Probably minimal rehearsal. I thought they sounded fine. There are some parts Stephen should refrain from singing on, but otherwise, he was hot. Great new song. Agree Singer Without a Song is a drag. I think they could definitely do a worthy tour.
Graham was really good on harmonies. So solid. I want to see more of Stills guitar work with Neil in the mix. Heart still has it. JJ's a yawn, Diana Krall was a revelation to watch on piano. What a talent. Elvis wasn't too bad, a couple very evocative pieces, enjoyed My Aim is True. Jenny Lewis' smug face and implants were weird and got in the way of the music. I liked Fun more than expected, but some off-key singing. But the singer has natural entertainer qualities. I think Arcade Fire is overrated, but that's just me. Don't shoot down a CSNY tour based on one performance after many years apart. I had my doubts, but after last night, I see great possibilities there. Stills is sizzling.
once again the negativity amazes me?." All you critics sit alone your no better than me for what you've shown". I thought all the performances were inspiring and fitting. "singer without a song" speaks to the heart of the matter kids with so much to say but diffuculty in saying it. I thought csny were in fine form and steven the best iv'e seen him in recent memorey and that will go a long way if a tour is to happen. graham nash and elvis doing king midas highlight for me.The old saying if you don't have something nice to say don't say it applys here all theses people gave thier time and music for a great cause and i for one appreciate every note thank you neil and pegi for another great benefit good on ya all?? let it grow let it blossom let it flow beautiful!!
What a load of crap, human_highway. Any opinion is worth sharing. Neil made an album called Freedom, you know...
I absolutely love the 1969-1970 CSNY live shows. This show can't compete with those tours, so what's the point? (I'm exaggerating a little of course) I just don't like nostalgia acts.
Neil is more relevant without them. So why waste time? He hasn't got that much time left on this earth.
Anon 7:09AM.......Because they are his friends? I'm guessing Neil's heart isn't really in it as much as it was with the Crazy Horse tour, but Crosby and Nash both wanted it happen....Neil may follow the muse (whatever that means), but he isn't completely oblivious to other people's wishes.....just nearly!
Either way, I'm glad they have reunited for these shows, and hopefully they will do a few more here and there, but a tour wouldn't be particularly exciting to me, personally.
PS
"He hasn't got much time left on this earth".
Neither have any of us in the wider scheme of things! Are you making the most of your time?
I thought it was a great show, particularly CSNY, but it did seem that Nash wasn't into it...I don't think he smiled the entire set! Stephen and Neil stayed together and seemed to share some happy moments...Stephen was in good voice overall. Maybe it was the lack of rehearsal, but I just sensed an undercurrent of something...not sure what...that made the reunion a bit anticlimactic for me. JMHO! I love them, and do not intend to be negative...I was happy to see them! The duets Neil did were outstanding, particularly with MMJ. I hope Neil follows his muse right back to Crazy Horse...so much joy they radiate when performing!!!
Stills guitar was excellent but some of his vocals? yikes. Crosby look pissed off for whatever reason. Has he lobbied for Neil like the rest? I'm thinking not. CSN don't really need Neil and vice versa. Anway, from Rolling Stone, sounds like night 2 was better. -
"Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young played the exact same set from the first night, but this time they seemed more on their game. Nash sang his ass off on "Just a Song Before I Go" and "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes" hadn't sounded so fresh and alive in years. The brand new Stills track "Don't Want Lies" is actually light years better than Young's maudlin "Singer Without a Song," though Crosby and Nash did everything they could to save that one with pristine back-up vocals.
They once again closed out the night by bringing everybody out for "Teach Your Children." It's sad to think that could be the last song that CSNY ever sing together, but it's an unlikely bet. People have been thinking that every since they broke up in 1971, but against all odds this foursome seems to persevere, even as they begin to enter their 70s. Besides, even if Neil never agrees to another tour, there are always more Bridge School Benefits in then future. "

C'mon, face it. CSNY was NOT good. "Just a Song" is so off key it hurts to listen. Obviously Neil wasn't into it, the way he stayed to himself through the whole set. Yes, Stills' new tune was pretty good, as was his guitar work, but he can't sing harmony anymore. The rest of them ain't so great at it either. And if they can't harmonize anymore, what's the point?
I agree. You know, in all honesty Neil doesn't have anything to add to CSN. Certainly not without his electric guitar.
He just stands there striking some chords. Anybody could do that. It's kind of a symbolic role.
CSN could be a nice back-up to Neil, but not the other way around.
