Trailer looks good, wonderful to hear Stills singing 'So Begins The Task' but could do without 'Teach Your Children'. The brief snippets show them looking well(2010) if still a little in love with themselves - get out the park bench.
These are guys who just love to sing their songs. Theyve had plenty of humble pie in their lifetime and have had to swallow even more of their pride. Be a good friend. They were a good friend to all of us giving us music that brought us together if only for a few encores. No really, these guys are legends in their own time but they are not the same people they were 30-40 years ago.
Stills should be on that list of the worlds greatest guitarists of all time. Why isnt he there? Because of politics. Why are people so weird about Stills? These guys are part of history. If I was gonna do an Americana anthology of musical lyrics and melody, there would be at least one song included from each....
TEACH YOUR CHILDREN will always be there, like the BEACH BOYS (whoever they will be)will always play GOOD VIBRATIONS...
Agree with you about Stills from 68-73 he was untouchable - Manassas & first Stills record are timeless.
Couple of thoughts.
Manassas - yes, excellent album, lots of memorable riffs and probably Stills at his best. But the best ever of any of CSNY members?. Can't agree with that.
These three have certainly given a heavy dose of great tunes. But I haven't heard much since the early 80's that compares with their first outputs. Daylight again, Southern Cross are about the most recent tunes that fit their prior work.
They have been promoting themselves very heavy these last few tours, telling how they have it still or have it together better than ever. I've seen a few shows, and they struggle to be their former selves most times. They hit on a few but mostly, for me, they are out of gas.

Pretty sad, Bill O'Reilly reviewing a CSN show

Manasses sold over a million albums when it first came out. It's up there with S&G BOTW, Elton
John, & Harvest. Jerry Garcia's contribution makes this even more a classic of the early 70s. If you like Neil's stuff, this will blow your mind.
Stills just announced that the Covers record with Rubin has been abandoned - he says ask David why.
