Art Influenced by Neil Young: Jenice Heo
Neil Face With Hand
by Jenice Heo
We must admit that we're particularly fond of discovering artists who have been influenced by Neil Young's music.
We've mostly focused on musical artists influenced by Neil. But many artists in different fields have been influenced by Neil's music as well.
One such artists is Jenice Heo.
We found Jenice's video to be mesmerizing.

While working with Neil Young, Jenice was introduced to the art of Wallace Berman, whose work opened her eyes and forever changed the way she saw “things.” That encounter and her love of Neil’s music led to the painting, Train of Love, which incorporates all things Neil and is named after one of his songs. Finding objects from swapmeets, thrift stores, parking lots... and using “very strong” glue, the Assemblage seed was planted in Jenice. Rauschenberg calls them “Combines,” Duchamp “Ready-Mades,” and most recently, the curator for the Assemblage exhibition at the Norton Simon called it “Gluing the World.” George Herms philosophizes that Assemblage is created from “jewels mined from the big mine shaft called Life!”

Of course Jenice is best known for her work with her partner, Gary Burden, for all the Neil Young album covers they have designed over the years.
cool video!
love it.
here's an archives sneak peak...some of these songs have previously been released on the legit Hard To Find offering from the early 90s.
You can be sure they'll end up on the Archives..

Johnny Rocket!
Here's my Archives prediction for the day....
....save your pennies Neil groupies: Prices will come way down, as the recession-filled public won't pony up the big bucks for this release.
I went on Amazon today, and they're listing the 10-CD box for $69 bucks, a $30 dollar drop. Tells me one thing - people dont have the cash, and are refusing to spend money.
Supply and Demand. Pretty simple.
My guess is the BluRay price will plummet within 2 months, under $200, settling closer to $150.
Neil should be commended for his efforts here, creating a multimedia spectacular, but the bean counters misread the market and overpriced this set.
Take a look at the comments on Amazon...most people are completely turned off by the price.
I'm gonna pick this set up late summer, and save myself some pennies.
Sorry 96% Club...but dem are the facts.
Cough Up the Bucks!
Johnny Rocket!
Isn't the "Harvest" art being given to us as a poster in the Archives Box? I saw a replica of it when you click the various sets on the Warner's Pre-Order page...

In reply to:
Johnny Rocket- sorry, prices won't be coming down.
Your guesses are just wrong, but are nice wishful thoughts.
LRR- no that poster doesn't come with the Archives.
You must have seen some placeholder art before the File Cabinet poster was finished.
