Well....Let me go first.
Yeah..I kinda enjoyed it..and the set list looks pretty good for the rest of the CD. As Uncle Neil would say....inneresting!
I was wonderin' what Adam Sandler would do now that his acting career is over..Woops..did I say that?
It's far from The Crazy Horse version.
Dont' dig it.
Nice to know that Adam is a fan of Neil !
Wachtel could've donned a Woodstock guitar strap for the occasion to make the homage to Neil complete.
I respected Adam Sandler's version of "Like a Hurricane" and I think he honored the song as best he could! I don't Like The I idea of this site (In a way) advertising a CD that showcases bands like The Used doing "Burning Down the House" By Talking Heads, Taking Back Sunday "You Wreck Me" by Tom Petty, Avenged Sevenfold: "Paranoid" by Black Sabbath. It is these sort of bands that are destroying the music industry! Those sorts of bands should be dirty words dirty words on this site or sites alike!
The cover of the album reminds me of the Living With War cover.
I'm not sure what the point of this "cover" is. He didn't put a new spin on the song. He did about as good of a job as a decent bar cover band...except he is famous.
This cover is boring and completely unremarkable. Perhaps Neil could return the favor and tell some of Sandler's jokes verbatim...nah, forget that idea.
A respectable cover version..two thumbs up..you want to flatter an artist, you do a cover version..Sandler and crew did the song justice. Guitar work was fine but could have amped up the bass just a little bit.
Maybe they switched bodies like in "Freaky Friday" and it was reallySandler having fun on the FITR video & Neil Letterman again...
Hmmmmm....
Seems that this song is the most covered Neil song. I remember back in college days, when I was being all deep and sh!t there was a goth band that did this as a cover. I think it was Sisters of Mercy or something like that, anyway...imitation is the highest form of flattery. Right? Maybe....
While I appreciate the effort does this really constitute a cover? Stick to your day job.
Just an observation:
Look at all the titles of the songs on the set list..Is there some subliminal underlying meaning?..Is this one of Neil's secret projects?....Is This not REALLY......."THE ARCHIVES"...
IN A GIANT COVER UP!!..GOOD ONE SHAKEY,I GET IT!!
I think Adam Sandler should come to the next International Rust Fest and play with the rusties! Heheheh.
First off, whoever says that bands like these are destroying infamous music should probably be shot. No disrespect to Queen or David Bowie, but "Under Pressure" sang by My Chemical Romance & The Used sounds a lot better than the originals of the song. This cover is the shit and if you hate it you should honestly be shot unless your a queer like I know you are!!!
