Neil Young & Chrome Hearts have been in the studio, with "8 songs recorded", per a response to a letter on Neil Young Archives.
Presumably recorded on the last full moon -- the Blood Moon -- no additional details have emerged, other than Neil is not happy. Writing on NYA | T-C, Neil Young says:
“Folks, I am so hurt for this country.Politics today is sad and depressing for me. I can’t do it anymore. I can go out and demonstrate my feelings about it. We have the worst president in the history of our country. Every day, a bad TV show produced by DJT [President Donald J. Trump] is what we get.
Now, thankfully, once again, I’m in the studio recording a new album with the chrome hearts.
I love the songs and the feelings of life and love. Music is. So far, we have eight new songs. They make me feel.”

Neil’s been talking about how music makes him 'feel' lately and how it’s got him back in the studio.
You have to wonder if that fan letter he shared with the track link at the bottom had something to do with the inspiration? It's an upbeat country-rocker that even name-checks his old friends Willie and Waylon from Farm Aid.

Actually, Neil has made it quite a habit of his to make us be "Wonderin' " most of the time.
Afterall, recall just last summer when Neil Young invited President Trump to attend his concerts.
And in other Neil Young news of late, the tracklist for the album "As Time Explodes" by Neil Young w/Chrome Hearts has been revealed for this year's Record Store Day on April 18.

Neil is right, & he doesn’t need to fight, but the rest of us got to get out there for #NoKings day 3/28/26 Saturday!
Show up for Democracy, because that is what Dump is trying to kill.
The idiot king found a way to trash the whole world & he is doing a great job.
Trump is a grotesque monster, a voracious predator. He has swapped up the “No More Foreign Wars” promise for 10 more foreign wars.

I hear that Springsteen is charging up to $3000 for primo seats for his upcoming No Kings tour, $84 for nosebleed seats.
You know, because nothing says "fight the capitalist fascists" like charging my fans 3 grand to come see me yell about Trump up close.
The big question is will any of the heroes of my youth stop disappointing me as I get older? Are any of them NOT hypocrites? There's still Dylan, I guess. The other question is would men like Lennon, Morrison, Cobain, etc have become corporate shills for the mainstream by this point as well?

But more consequentially, are you disappointed yet at Dear Leader who promised no new wars? US government averaging close to $2 billion per day for this "little excursion." Not to mention the higher prices at the pump (and eventually everything else, thanks reliance on oil) paid by everyone. And then there's the people who, you know, are actually being killed, injured, or otherwise having their lives upended by an illegal, unprovoked attack. I have many in-laws, nephews and nieces in Iran rn. They are currently in an area not under attack, but they are still suffering, as is my wife in her otherwise relative state of comfort here in LA. Can you imagine what that feels like for these people? This is the actual big question, not whether you feel disappointed by the heroes of your youth. Grow up.

Given we're in the fog of war, so its very hard to know what is really going on, it's always good to try and have 1st hand info.
Since you have family in Iran, what do you hear? Anything? We've heard things like no power or internet in Tehran. And vice versa. Also, if you can give their rough coordinates like downtown Tehran, etc
I hope the new album is exceptional. The other promise of the real studio albums which also includes Chrome hearts I guess almost the same band sort of have been lackluster with a few good songs on each album in my opinion. I think it's cuz he wasn't playing with crazy horse so the songs weren't as good but promise of the real and chrome hearts are awesome bands to back Neil up though
I have friends in Dubai. Nightmare. Someone did not plan an exit strategy for US citizens AS IF these attacks would not spread violence across the entire region.
I'm totally disappointed by this bullshit war. Let's face it, Isreal pretty much runs the US in terms of military excursions at this point, and it sucks.

Thanks @Thrasher. We have heard very little because of the Internet being down most of the time. They are in Rasht, which is near the Caspian sea. It was bombed in June, so it could well be targeted again. Of course, this all comes on the heels of the regime thugs killing thousands of peaceful protesters. The people can't catch a break. It's heartbreaking.
Against my better instincts, I will respond. You say my discourse is "uncivilized" for writing that you should "grow up." I wrote this in response to your decision to whine about the cost of ticket prices in the music industry, a comment in response to Neil Young's concerns about the state of democracy in the US and the dire conditions of war. So, yes, I deem your concerns in this context juvenile, hence the call to grow up.
You go on to say I am "full of shit", seemingly both because I use the moniker Knowledge Nomad, which is in your opinion inappropriate given what you allege is my uncivilized discourse (see above), and more appropriately because you believe I have no criticism of the Biden administration, thus somehow making me a hypocrite. It's worth noting, if I did truly have no criticism of the past administration, the accusation of hypocrite makes no sense. Verily, I do have critiques of the past administration. I'm quite certain I could find something to critique about every administration the US has had. The important question is, the relative importance of the issues worthy of critique. Understood in this light, the extreme damage and destruction being wrought by this administration to the foundational principles of the republic and to the lives of millions of people in it and beyond our borders and to the health of the planet generally frankly pales in comparison to what others in modern history have done. But, hey, I guess those lower egg prices (enjoy it while it lasts) and the unconstitutional incarceration and deportation of overwhelming peaceful people is worth it to you.

Apparently, however, your book smarts don't seem to carry over to basic perception. I wasn't whining about Springsteen's ticket prices, or any in general. I was whining, for lack of a better word about the hypocrisy of an artist going on a "protest" tour while charging prices that only royalty can afford.
I'm told here many times here how morally bankrupt Trump and his supporters are, yet here we got one of the "enlightened" showing the same greed that you find in any run of the mill billionaire.

Nice rendition. The whole set by fellow Farm Aid board member Margo Price was pretty great, punctuated with some pointed songs of protest. PA intro was Masters of War, then a few songs in we got Woody Guthrie's Deportee, penultimate song was Blaze Foley's Oval Room (look it up) and she closed with Maggie's Farm. Tight band. The lead guitarist never met a note he didn't like and could have shown some more restraint on occasion, but it was largely driving honky-tonk style Tele, and he understood the assignment. Couple of good openers (the women harmonizing here with Margo), especially Ny Oh, originally from NZ.
