It took them quite some effort to avoid the largest country (by population) with the largest number of European Neil Young fans and also to make sure that nobody from there who needs to earn his money will be able to attend because the closest venues beyond the borders of aforementioned country will be played on weekdays. Pretty convincing job at Lookout. With the distances to be covered I can't see how any further dates could be added. So I'll have to sit that one out.

Well that's a bummer Dionys.

You really think Germany omission was intentional? Not just logistics challenges?

i was longing to see Neil and now I know it becomes "Real" 😍

At 11/21/2025 02:16:00 PM, Blogger Dionys said...

No, not intentional, a mere expression of my disappointment, after checking out Locarno and Nancy being the closest from my private no-fly-zone in Munich.
Having read the Scotzman's rant about his latest Dylan "Shine a Light" - experience there are maybe things which are worse. I hope that everyone who felt left out during the last NY & CH round will have enjoyable shows. Lucca would have been my favourite concert stop, it's such a beautiful town.

At 11/21/2025 02:38:00 PM, Blogger Dieter said...

Ja, Dionys, not intentional, but this summer they had three shows in Germany well spread across the country (east, west and south), that they might think to cover different areas in Europe next year. I think I‘ll make it to Nancy, which is only 220 km from my home near the French border, even possible on that date on a Wednesday.
Just glad Neil is so fit and still touring 🎶🎸

Would be great to see Neil & the Chrome Hearts down under here in Australia, been a long time in between visits.. long may you run Neil.

Pleasantly surprised to learn Neil will be back here in Europe quite so soon. I am considering Blenheim Palace, an entirely new venue for me.

Highly recommended to attend! I am happy for you who are able to make it to the shows!

ATM, we're keeping our powder dry.

Presumably there will be a N. American leg like last summer. Based on the t-shirt design posted earlier, possibly Gulf of Mexico/America dates.

Well undoubtedly this recent tour had to be hecka fun to be planning another so soon. Get out there and get it NY & Chrome Hearts 🤍. He could never lable a tour a Farewell. For that to him = death . Keep chasing that muse not too close tho.

Do I remember pictures of Neil Young tour train all painted up to chug around North America from a few years ago or was it a weird dream?

You may not be even German, but reading your self absorbed post out loud in a miserable voice doing a German accent was great fun.

I am Bavarian (southern German) and intended to be read miserable. Also I take great delight at exposing American chickens pretending to be Canadian while speaking in a Yank accent when travelling to the Munich Oktoberfest. You are right: accents are lots of fun.

Thinking a road trip if the U.S. dates happen. For those buying seats soon it is a tough call for me. I love being up front in the pit, but the sound near the soundboard is just amazing. My last two shows (NY/CH & NY/CD) were at the soundboard just a few seats away from Tim Mulligan. https://neilyoungarchives.com/news/10/article?id=Histories-Tim-Mulligan

Well that was a remarkably painless ticketing experience - tickets for Blenheim and Cardiff secured within 20 mins, and most of that was resetting Ticketb*st*rd password.

More info: Blenheim Palace looks like an all seated venue, with £350 ($450) at the front. I've gone for mid range £150 ($200) seats on the aisle - luxury.

I live 40 minutes drive from Blenheim so it's a day trip where we can eat out on the way and avoid the overpriced on-site catering. For the historically minded, Blenheim Palace has been the stately home of the Churchill family (yes THAT Churchill) for 300 years and is the bricks and mortar personification of the English upper class, who now have to let in the peasants to visit and party to keep the place going. It's also the home of the Blenheim Orange apple which I have planted in several community orchards I run in my hometown. Been there several times over the years.

Cardiff is all standing and has a "Garden" VIPish area at the front going at £137 ($180) a ticket, so I had to succumb to that. We have friends in Cardiff for potential overnight accomodation too.

Hoping that you all secure the tickets you want across Europe.

A painless acquisition of a seat in Row F centre block (my dithering saw me relegated from Row C) at Blenheim Palace. Now I just need to figure out the logistics as I will probably be relying on public transport. Hope everyone else had similar good fortune.

@ Dionys did you see the last European gig announced, it is in north west Italy, he might add a gig in southern Germany , its only a few hours drive on his bus. This year I travelled to see Neil in Dublin and Berlin - in the incredible Waldbühne venue, but he is playing in home town of Cork next July @ Live At The Marquee, his third time playing In Cork. Sometimes I have to travel long distances to see Neil, sometimes I don't.

At 11/24/2025 10:49:00 AM, Blogger Dionys said...

@Donal, Udine is a six hours drive from Munich or most other locations close to home where a NY&CH show could take place or took place in the past. I'll have to work the following day. As it will be the hottest week of the whole year (in more than one sense) only an additional date on the following weekend would relieve me from my self-absorption. Maybe the chances for an additional date aren't that bad, assuming that the equipment has to be shipped overseas through one of the major European airports anyway (Frankfurt, Paris, London, Amsterdam) almost all of which require a road transfer through Germany, if you start from Udine.

At 11/24/2025 12:51:00 PM, Blogger David Rart said...

Ah ha fair enough. Take the week off and travel to a show man.

At 11/24/2025 01:36:00 PM, Blogger RedSun said...

13 shows are on the schedule, and last year he did 13 gigs in Europe. I’d bet that the 2026 dates are the full European run. With the travel involved and considering Neil’s and especially Spooner’s age, it’s pretty unlikely any extra shows will sneak in.

I guess there may some bus/coach timetable changes in the new year, but it gives a decent overview

At 11/24/2025 02:21:00 PM, Blogger Hambone said...

More info. Blenheim capacity is 10,00 and Cardiff 35,000 so a merciful change from cramming 65,000 into Hyde Park.

Also Blenheim Palace is actually situated on the outskirts of the North Oxfordshire town of Woodstock. So Neil might well become the only person ever to play festivals at two Woodstocks.

Hambone,

Thanks for info. Crowd of "only" 10,000 should make it easier. Have you seen previous gigs at BP?

Exciting news for us Europeans/Brits! Neil was wonderful at Hyde Park this year, a memory I'll treasure for a long time. Following the tour here at TW and on YouTube was good fun, too.

Both Neil and the fanbase now have something major to look forward to in 2026, which is half the battle.

PS Hi everybody. I'm still alive, just got too much to do in too little time! But still keeping up with everything... just about

Scots.

In USA here, I traveled 6 hours to see Neil, that was the closest.

At 11/25/2025 11:09:00 AM, Blogger Knowledge Nomad said...

I looked at the tickets for the gig in Weert in the Netherlands, as that's reasonably close to Cologne where I used to live. Could imagine a summer visit that includes a show. The GA is €140 and then there's a "Gold Circle" at €168. Anyone know if that means pit, cuz I'd pony up an extra €28 for that.

At 11/25/2025 12:27:00 PM, Blogger Dionys said...

@ Acoustic Feedback Udine - Munich is six hours driving without breaks. That also means crossing the Alps twice (tollroad), two borders, and a considerable stretch on winding and narrow two lane roads, too. All of that is a lot more demanding than a six hours Interstate cruise. Shows in Italy also tend to start a little later than in Germany, so it safely can be assumed one could be hitting the road around or even way past midnight. I would not even have the time to get a shower before meeting my students. There are some downsides holding a tenure... Weert - Cologne would be an easy one.

Couldn't resist adding Lucca to my itinerary. Got seats just off centre in row 8 for 142 euro each (including all fees) - considerably less than half the cost of my similar ticket at Blenheim Palace! We Brits are so easily fleeced! But we keep on rocking...

At 11/29/2025 04:59:00 PM, Blogger Roberto said...

Lucca here we come 😄. I saw Gov't Mule + John Hiatt some 25 years ago in the very same place.
