I totally get it, and I really admire Neil for his stance on the environment, but it's sad for me to think that if he's deadly serious about this then all of us who live outside the U.S / Canada may never see him again as to visit us would involve flying to move both equipment and personnel etc etc.
TW meetup at Boise ID “Outlaw Field” could become a reality! Some will use alcohol fuel, others, cannabis biofuel, some both!
I’ve wanted to return to the old penitentiary & finally check out the Boise Botanical Garden.
Last time up at the rail, I passed around some imported goods from Seattle. Anything could happen! I will arrive early for sound check in my BPD costume. I have the right haircut already.
Have a great day!

Was hoping for a "New Mama" tour, featuring mostly TTN tunes, after an inspiring double set at the Roxy. I'll take whatever NY I can get though.
Neil Young did not exactly exclude European tours in the future. In former times one would have called the tour bus operator which used to be the regular means of transport for full-blown NY & Band tours in Europe. If memory serves Lookout Management used to book a caravan of four or five Redfern buses (based in the U.K.) for an undertaking of this size. For this kind of tour to take place in the first half of 2024 arrangements probably would have been made already with venues and the logistics people.
In the past there have been smaller and maybe more spontaneous outings to Europe. The Greendale Solo tour in Europe in 2003 is an example. Back then I couldn't believe it, when a friend and I after the show saw Larry Cragg stowing away all these guitars in a container that almost stood in the busy street passing by the venue and nobody else around, very small road crew, probably just one bus... and an expensive rental car with a star for hood ornament.
I suspected the West Coast summer tour might be a first step toward larger things. Don’t let’s forget, prior to this summer NY had been off the road for almost four years. After that kind of gap, most people would need to build up stamina gradually. Live performance requires a lot of mental and physical energy.
Now that Neil has dipped his toe back in with the summer tour and select gigs, maybe it’s time to begin expanding the operation. Musicians want to play—period. Whether it’s stadiums, small intimate venues, or even jamming in the backyard. Just a question of when and how.
