This might be my favorite Timeline show so far! They only played Sixty to Zero that one week in August 1988 - I thought Neil would hold this one back as an official release. I even love On The Way Home as a horn-driven blast of an encore! NYA membership is such a no-brainer.
Thanks Mike!
It's like very week we get to have a new favorite.
Yeah 60 to Zero is quite epically spectacular. Like 15+ mins or something it seems?
Almost as good as that solo electric Cortez we just mentioned from 2010.
NYA delivers amazingness almost everyday. such a deal.

So far I’ve only had time to hear about half the show and I absolutely love it. Ordinarily People is just epic and 60 to Zero is so cinematic, and feels like a real precursor to Greendale in its story telling. I would have loved to been able to see this tour, as everyone here are such excellent musicians and the vibe is just huge. Definitely one for the ages in the Neil Young universe.
Peace 🙏
1am along the south Oregon coast radio played Don't Cry. I believe that's a first. I think I'd forgotten that song off Freedom
Finished the Bluenotes show last night and felt compelled to write Neil. An earlier letter had suggested that perhaps these Timeline concerts could be released on CD, so I wrote Neil to second that idea. These shows are such gems, it would be great to have access to them without a computer or phone. I suggested that perhaps they could be available for Rust and Patrons only, and this could possibly encourage regular subscribers to upgrade for access. Just release them as is without any remastering and just a simple cardboard cover. I’m sure I’m not the only person who would be willing to pay to own these fabulous performances.
Peace 🙏
P. S. @. Peacelover Doc : I’m extremely grateful that this madness has been stopped as well. I’m sure Neil is too.
I don't want these sold. I think it is a good thing that things like Timeline Concerts and outtakes are not released on physical media. It gives Neil the freedom of not having this kind of material, which might have a few warts, subject to media criticism (both good and bad) that official releases are subjected too. I also don't want them wrapped up in the already delay-prone production cycle. A download option might be OK with me. I just want to remove any barriers to sharing this kind of less official material. And there's no argument from me - Toronto '88 is as good as many of his official live releases.
Agree don't sell them, timeline access is fine.
It's an outstanding show BTW
The club tour at Cleveland Agora was my second Neil show and will always be beyond description standing in front of and basically under the mic. I was honored to the published in Broken Arrows second last edition trying to share what it was like. My third show was the arena tour at Blossom Cle. It is my dream for the club tour to be on DVD. It would truly be a unique experience with the instruments, musicians and character he was in at that time. But really time has faded away that show in my head and I'd like back again!
