I appreciate what you’re attempting to create and I’m sure as you continue working out the the technical aspects things will begin to gel. I’m not sure I would have figured out how to navigate to the different discs of Deja Vu 50th anniversary edition in the cabinet had you not illustrated it on the broadcast. Those arrows to the far left and right were so small I might have never have seen them, so thank you for that. Just keep following your intention and things will naturally begin to fall in place. Focus on one thing at a time and avoid the rabbit hole that is NYA.
Peace 🙏
Thanks so much for feedback Dan. Really appreciate your taking the time to listen and let us know what's helpful.
This does align with our vision to try and help folks out w/ some of the complexities of navigating NYA. We do know that assuming things are obvious is often a bad assumption.
Your insights are truly valued here @ TW & WBKM.org
Thanks Dan, and Thrasher, for mentioning that about CSNY Deja Vu navigation on NYA. I have not yet listened to this broadcast, but will shortly. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻-Alan in Seattle
12 minute in and I now must apologize for dismissing the CSNY Deja Vu 50th Anniversary re-release. Neil is in there wailing on Woodstock (Alternate) and I must eat my words. Not the first time I have disparaged something great or wonderful! Thanks Thrasher for opening my eyes and helping me give CSNY another chance. That album is indeed a wonderful classic. Mind opening. Dear Thrasher and Dan, You guys have persuaded me to reassess my feelings about Deja Vu and the 50th Anniversary reissue. It is fun to listen to and obviously a great album. I allowed myself to sour on CSNY by latching on to Crosby’s awful personality and comments. And I was not impressed by what they did with the 3 tracks Neil gave them from Silver and Gold. And their mid 80’s album I thought was very lame. But this release is a classic. My narrow mind got in the way. I am so happy exalting Neil Young that I was too willing to dismiss this fine group effort by CSNY. I am a fan of alternate and unreleased takes of great songs, and this Deluxe reissue album has got them! My world has expanded and been enriched once again by listening to TW’s FM Broadcast and the discussion of my fellow NY fans. Thrasher, I like the FM project. The first episode covered a topic I was already quite familiar with so the 2nd episode really dazzled me with the aforementioned revelations. Please continue with the FM broadcasts, just so long as it doesn’t burn you out for the greater purpose of keeping TW alive and well. We are enjoying the bright burn 🔥 of the magnificent Art under discussion on your NY blog. In the end, the flame of inspiration is Eternal, as with the classic composers, musicians, and Artists of History. Van Gogh, Neil Young, etc. Thank you! Alan in Seattle
Thank you for checking out Alan and providing feedback.
We would say that if a single listener made a decision to check out -- or not -- a release than our work is successful.
We hope to introduce many cool features of TW Radio Podcasts in the coming episodes as we evolve and adapt.
