Remember, there is no 'best' in music according to Neil,
so I'm puzzled trying to guess the criteria for the Top 10.
Doesn't seem to be by volume of responses, nor by stunning
announcement of Neil adventures. Maybe by some other importance
measure. You can hold out the answer for a while, but sooner or
later it all gets real! And then you must reveal.

Test. I love the post. Thanks Thrasher. It’s nice to be reminded of all the great Neil News events of recent and past times. I love the new 48 year old song. It makes me think of Trump a bit. And it is a call to be the one to change the writing on the wall. Thank you Thrasher! Alan in Seattle
I have been somehow thwarted from posting on Thrasher’s Wheat for several years now. Thrasher himself has been posting my emails every so often. But now I seem to have regained my ability to post. Cool! Weird timing as Neil leaves Facebook and all the strange things unfolding in the world. It’s good to be back. I am missing live music. But I have trunks of memories / still to come. So many great live shows. I was lucky enough to see Neil play about 28 times so far. I’d like to get to 30 (or 40!) if it could come to be. Come along and say you will! What a cool song. I can see why it didn’t make it onto Harvest but it is a classic, especially for hard core fans such as myself who have been enjoying recordings of this song for decades, thankfully. Now we get higher resolution. I am still a little sore that I can’t get Archives 2 on Blu Ray but then there are bigger fish to fry. What with the end of life on Earth as we know it in Sight! For God’s sake! Wake up 2 party corporate sellout sheep! Trump is so loathsome that ya gotta vote in the other Oligarch. It reminds me of the song Neil chose to kick off the Amazon news. I am supportive of his High Res relationship with Amazon, despite their destructive monopolistic business practices. At least they are now saying they will go carbon neutral. But the date is a long Way’s off. Oh Mother Earth. By killing you, we have done ourselves in. Alan In Seattle
Welcome back Alan, you’ve been missed. Glad to hear your perspective return here, as I always enjoy your input on Neil or anything else.
Peace 🙏
@ SONY - right, our bad here @ TW. :(
The methodology used to determine Top Posts is based on Page Views via blog metrics.
This is somewhat imperfect and we discovered many anomalies when trying to compile this list. Actually, we did plan to outline at least this much in blog post. However, the news on Under The Rainbow got us distracted down a rabbit hole on Santa Monica Flyers which we've yet to emerge from!
But the list does capture some of the serendipity here @ TW.
As to why a post on Texting During a Neil Young Concert could possibly be the all time most viewed post is a bit of mystery. The post seemed to have been picked up by many major and minor artists who were dismayed by fan behavior at concerts where what was happening on little screens was taking precedence over the stage happenings.
That was back in the early days of "Stupid/Smart phones". Obviously, things have really gone downhill as Neil prophetically foreshadowed.
And the perennial fave topic of Ronnie & Neil just never seems to get old. Everyday music fans discover of the mythical rabbit hole of Southern man vs Northern Man.
The uncivil wars continue ...
@ Alan - hey, great to see you here @ TW.
As for the posting problems, we know we've spent quite a bit of time trying to get to bottom.
In happens to us as well. This seems to be a Mobile phone issue only. IDs are somehow cached such that the login doesn't register.
About the only thing we think works is to terminate the browser in Apps. And start the App over. a hard reset clearing cookies, etc. Seems extreme and not sure if bug or feature.
@ Dan - peace, as always.
