TRACK LIST: "The Times" EP by Neil Young + Impending Major NYA News
On September 18th, the EP "The Times" by Neil Young will be released exclusively as an "Amazon Original".
The EP contains seven songs from the Fireside Session on July 1, 2020.
Amazon Music will release the EP on its high-resolution streaming service HD Music in 24bit / 44kHz.
The video of the session from Telluride, Colorado will also be available as video-on-demand on Amazon Prime. Neil Young had already indicated the move to the world's largest online provider a few weeks ago. In a message on NYA, Neil Young writes of expanding NYA's reach to a larger audience.
"We know NYA is just a niche and the complete audience is not even aware of us as of yet. The public will have an easy way to get the quality we offer."
Much more Archives news continues to flood in and updates with the shifting releases are occurring on a near daily basis. See recent releases new summary here on TW, including upcoming release of "Noise & Flowers" by Neil Young + Promise of the REAL.

As someone who lives in Seattle, and has seen first hand the destruction to this city, and to small businesses that Amazon has caused, I'm very disappointed Neil is using their platform to release these songs. Amazon is destroying America as much as Trump.
The ep is also available as a cd. I’ve ordered at Bull Moose.
Ain't singing for Amazon.....
Oh wait, I guess I am.....
The times sure are changing, that is for sure.

Meant to say tax the hell out of Washington residents not Oregon residents.
it is somewhat typical Neil to totally diss on Google & FB and then turnaround & throw in w/ Amazon.
Big Tech is Big Tech. If Neil is doing a deal w/ to AMZ to keep NYA going, that's a really tough compromise to swallow.
While any terms are far from clear, Neil should do everything possible to maintain total control on all NYA assets. Any deal w/ AMZ will ultimately result in AMZ gobbling up and corporatizing the site.
Like Cameron Crowe said recently "Neil taketh and Neil giveth".
I don't do the streaming business if I can avoid it (though it has been difficult to get access to things otherwise during shutdown). I'll likely go with the CD on this, which won't necessitate using Amazon.
Surreal times we live. I hear happy singing the blues as I write this.
Love the Archives site and it's sound quality....please don't mess up a good thing!!!
Amazon has acceptable sonic quality choices for Neil
