The rudest and most embarrassing part wont be that Im yelling out song titles but that Im requesting Weight of the World. Have fun out there.

Hey wsanjose01, I'd love to hear Weight Of The World. In fact, I don't think there's a song from Landing On Water that I wouldn't want to hear. I've always loved that album from beginning to end..

Landing on Water is proof that no matter what or who you are if around long enough you eventually get respect. I drove around in my Barracuda loving it on cassette but I was in the minority lol.

I bought the LOW cassette the day it came out, and it didn't leave my Walkman for months! I immediately loved the lyrics, the guitars, the drums, the affects, the humor, the madness, the quirkiness, etc. To me, it was Neil getting back to being Neil, though with a "modern twist" that was in your face.

One enjoyable song after the other--catchy and melodic and fun, with undercurrents of distress.

"Take my advice
Don't listen to me"

PS: I predict a tour debut tonight or tomorrow in Boston of an old Springfield tune. My guess is: Flying On The Ground Is Wrong.

Outstanding show! Neil was in great form and superb voice.
The crowd was very respectful, here in Boston, letting Neil tell his stories and perform his songs.
Very few shout-outs from the audience, Neil was very pleased and it showed in his performance.
Just a wonderful evening with Neil. Looking forward to this evenings show.
Cheers!

So great to see Neil in top form last night in Boston. Pocahontas was a stand out and his meandering comments on his instruments were great. Respectful crowd with only a few boneheads. Wish I were able to be there again tonight.

"Fellow Canadian William Prince opened with a solo acoustic set of his own, his low, ruminative voice lending his frequently beautiful songs a lived-in gravitas. "

Everyone enjoy tonight!

Neil was outstanding again for this 2nd show.
He was in great voice, both physically and emotionally and played with a final "Solo" tour intensity.
Beautiful to hear Horseshoe Man (only the 14th time performed)) and My My plus Already One.

However, there were many more "A-holes" in the audience than the previous evening.
He even dumped his tea on the stage after callouts, following a hard driving Angry World. Morons
will always be morons,

Thanks Neil...hope to see you again, down the road.
Peace!

Last night was the best I've heard Neil's voice in 10+ years attending his shows - it was PRISTINE and sounded gorgeous over the Wang Theatre PA. His playing was delicate and intense. Sounds like he's been taking vocal and piano lessons lately and the time off touring helped. Was hoping for Broken Arrow & Cowgirl, but can't complain with what he gave us. The set list looks good on paper, but the actual performances were stunning. As big of a Crazy Horse fan I am, nothing compares to seeing Neil by himself surrounded by instruments.

Crowd was quiet while he played for the most part. Started off pretty good, but a few songs in lots of requests were shouted out from the balcony. Neil had some good quips about the request: "Tonight I'll be playing songs that were requested in Detroit" and "Boy, tomorrow you'll be reading from a whole group of people who wished another group of people would just shut up" (something like that).

Eventually someone said "stop requesting songs" and received a big applause break. But, I couldn't tell if the song requests actually bothered Neil or if it is somewhat being played up theatrically... It seemed like whenever he said "I was going to play a song, but now I'm going to play something else," he ended up playing something off the standard set (Only Love Can Break Your Heart; Mellow My Mind).

It didn't seem to affect his playing though - he was in fine form. However, the offbeat clapping ruined the 3rd verse of a few songs. Tonight's the Night ended abruptly when the clapping started... Just completely threw off the rhythm of where Neil was going and he had to just end the song right then.

The set was interesting in the beginning... He seemed to want to switch up the set. Long May You Run seemed to be a last second decision and it took a while for him to remember the 2nd verse as he retreated back to the chorus. MMHH seemed to be spontaneous as well. He seemed to be in a really good groove and could've stayed with a couple more acoustic numbers, but then the requests started to pour in...

Personal Highlights: MMHH, Homefires, Ohio (!!!), There's a World, Speaking Out (!!), TNT (!), and Peaceful Valley

Just got back from being on the road since seeing Neil at the Wang on 7/11 ... the show was exquisite ... having seen Chicago 2nd night and watched the live stream of Detroit this one was at a whole different level ... Neil got into a trance and it was magical ... he hit his stride pretty early on Pocahantas and maintained it to the end ... when Neil is at the top of his game the song selection doesn't matter and that's how it felt that night ... that said, Birds was really special, the Le Noise songs were completely epic, Ohio was powerful and moving ... we were 2nd row (grateful to Neil forever for giving the fans the best seats) and Neil was just on his game ... what more to say? Its hard to compare years and genres and shows but this was exceptional up there with all the best ones I've seen.

Thank you Neil! Second row both nights. Wednesday was exceptional! There were a few buzzards that were howling in the crowd on Thursday evening that made us all ( I hope) cringe. Archive ticket sales and entry were pretty seamless. Nice to have Neil fans and not the person with the most money sitting next to me...

Anyone have any FLAC / show recording information? ISO Wednesday. Have a decent audiance recording from Thursday but Wedensay spoke to me on a deep level. Haven't had that kind of inner peace and euphoria in a while.....

Havent missed a Neil show in the Boston area post 1988 Blue Notes at 'Great Woods' (Ill never call it anything else...). 30 years and its been a long strange trip. Neil's voice and harp were so fine....one of my favoites....maybe Im just getting old and am learning to appreciate it more. The road does not go on forever (to quote Gregg Allaman). THANK YOU NEIL!
