Tonight (Tues., February 3) on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon", Neil Young will be a guest.
It is expected to include a musical performance.
Earlier this month, Jimmy Fallon featured an Air Guitarist Shredding "Down by the River": Bradley Cooper on Tonight Show.
As previously noted, it is quite well established by now that Jimmy Fallon tremendously admires Neil Young and goes to considerable lengths to showcase his "Neil Passion".

Altho' I don't like Fallon & this isn't that funny or entertaining to me it's probably a good idea Neil does something a little more 'light' in the media at the moment.
Blistering! !
The new question is what if you burn out but don't fade away? The constant peddling of his goods - music devices, records, books - is getting old.
It was great
Both songs in different ways
Both songs were great. Lighten up sunlightforever.
I love every version of Who's Gonna Stand Up I hear! That was amazing, and the perfect forum for it.
Recording artist "constantly peddling his records". Whatever next?
Just hearing the STAND UP performance now . . . damn that was great! WHO ELSE IS WRITING THESE KINDS OF SONGS & PERFORMING THEM ON NATIONAL TV?? Neil is sooooo important
I just think this is a really weak song - although I enjoyed the energy that the Roots brought to the performance. I would like Neil to bring his song writing skills to this topic in a more serious way, rather than sloganeering. This is not a serious treatment of the issues or even a good representation of the problem. Having this song on the same show as Old Man highlights just how weak this song is>
WHO"S GONNA STAND UP?!
FUCKIN" NEIL YOUNG THAT'S WHO!
That is a rocking song that gets straight to the point. Anybody remember four dead in Ohio?
This is the same thing, clear, concise, calculated and driving right into your head!
What else could you ask for?
I don't need some drawn out diatribe and fluffy fillings to get the drift of this one. He's pissed and he lays it right out there.
WAKE UP PLANET EARTH HUMANS OR DIE!
ok, that's about wraps up my reaction to this one. Next....
So sad to see a voice of song and soul once so strong ... reduced to this .
I listen to Bob Dylan's latest , Tom Waits latest .... music of soul .
Who Stands up against those that preach against the working class ?
The privileged like Neil , against oil , against nuclear energy , against hydro-electric ?
I think not !
A doubter as the cult refers ,
a free mind to question all I prefer .
Found it quite sad to see Neil @ his premiere , hocking his paintings of old gas guzzling V-8's ....... oblivious to the Earth t-shirt and fringe jacket on his once proud back .
Roads to ride and fuel to burn Eh Neil ?
Mr Earth T-shirt we stand up against you !
Al Gore lives in a fat mansion, jet sets around the world, sits on Apple's board, and sold his network to Al Jezeera for $400mm ... that doesn't negate his message about climate change does it?
Put this in perspective ... Neil has invested millions into finding a solution to fossil fuel in the auto, one of the single biggest causes of pollution on the planet ... he's spending his spare time protesting oil sands, doing benefits for Native Americans, using his celebrity to speak out about what he thinks is environmental injustice, dedicating some of his new songs to the cause ...
Neil's message is at least authentic, he admits he loves cars, the ultimate big car lover stepping up to do something good for the world ... I find what he's doing to be incredibly inspiring ... while most older people (including our disappointing president) are playing rounds of golf Neil is acknowledging that just singing a song won't change the world ...
To me Neil in his autumn doing all this makes all the years of activism that much more authentic ...
Just hope he doesn't get too much religion we need a Crazy Horse tour soon!
Is that Ben Keith's guitar that he is playing Who's Gonna stand Up?
It's the Broadcaster: http://www.sugarmtn.org/instruments.php?instr=5
Unfortunately this is Neil in his Winter. I am more inclined to the tunes of life as opposed to the green shit. But hey...Big johns been drinkin since the river took emmy lou... :)
Investing millions into a so called solution only attainable by those able to buy million dollar Lintvolts .
That is but one of many separations of Neil Young's fantasy hippie dreams , and the reality of the working class he continues to preach to and insult .
Native Americans , an interesting term ?
In Canada where Neil paid sixty thousand dollars for a cigar store token , to sit beside him on his anti-everything tour .... we respectfully refer to First Nations Canadians .... not American EH !
The celebrity culture is quite different in Americana , up here in the True North Strong and Free .
Celebrities on soap box tours are held to a higher standard of accountability ... often times weeded out for lack of integrity .

Neil Young is the "real thing"! He has raised hundreds of dollars and called attention to the perfect "inperfections" in human beings! His endless love and dedication to his son, Indian/Canadian heritage, relationships, the war, destruction of earth...etc. Those who wish to split hairs and judge his talent, abundance and passion need to look in the mirror and ask "am I living up to the standards I am judging?"
