Loved it! Loved it! Loved it! Wish I could hit replay and do it over again.
Epic concert. Some amazing moments. somenice acid made for a memorable experience.
I am sorry to say Neil young lost me tonight 10/March in Sydney played for 15% of the people there, the other 85% of us are well over 21, more like late50s, we went there to see an old mate, from the 70s, and got shit, thank for Fuc_ all Neil, we walked out by the hundreds, all of us older people, out side all saying the same thing. Why did we even thing, it was going to improve, at lest DCDC, Meatloaf sang song that the paying customer liked & know, that’s my say Warrick Todd NSW Sydney
I saw this show and thought it was brilliant! It shows that Neil and Crazy Horse are still in the pocket and making new sounds together.
If you go to a Neil show looking for the same old hits you are not a true fan. Buy the new albums give them a listen explore them for the gold that is in the music, go to the concert and enjoy...or don't go. The set lists are posted online all the time it should be no surprise what you are gonna hear.
Neil is a living legend...and that is the deal.
Neil and The Horse prove that over two nights, with nearly identical set lists, that the show or songs are not the same. By looking @ a list of songs played you would think ... Oh well... Same thing.
But of course not. Saturdays gig was a bit more hairy and distorted and Sunday in Sydney was crystal clear and a bit brighter in the attitude and mood of The Horse.
Both shows were beyond brilliant ... And if was in town again I would be there again.
Yer such a fuck up...
I was at this concert and agree. Neil young looked like he didn't give a fuck about his audience. He lost people by playing some of his worst songs and stretched them out. It was painful to sit through. I too went to listen to his great songs from the past. But was really disappointed.
Saw Neil Saturday night, loved it, loved him. To Warrick and Co., the concert was advertised as Neil Young & Crazy Horse get over it!! I too love his songs from the 70's but you cant expect him to just sing from that era when he has done so much more since. Brilliant night. He sounds fantastic, hope he comes back soon!! Neils quote of the night 'we're fu$king rock gods compared to the sh!t they play thes days!!! thankyou for YOUR input APPLE" who knew he was funny too.
We saw Crazy Horse at Bimbadgen Winery NSW Australia 09/03/2013

Took my son for his 14th Birthday

If anything he is better!!
Crazy Horse Rules!
The new songs are mind blowing
I was born in Ontario really tugged on the heart strings
It was my 4th time seeing Neil Young last time was Aug 26 1989 at The Kingswood Music Theatre in Ontario, Canada
Same deal under the stars with a full moon
Magical!!!
Even extra to this me mate got to touch Old Black the most famous Electric Guitar in the World in my mind... and Hank's old Martin
Need I say more...
Do yourselves a favour and see Neil Young and Crazy Horse
You will remember it for the rest of your life!!!
Fucking up was a Classic, Born In Ontario made me proud, thanks Neil, Heart of Gold Unbelievable, love those L5's, Cinnamon Girl blew me away along with Mr Soul, Walk Like Giant will go down in History as a classic!
Hey Hey My My was screamin you beauty!!
Roll another Number Neil !
Neil Young is a rock god..... I agree if you just want to hear all his old songs sit at home and put a cd on.... The concert at hunter valley was amazing despite all the death stares and complaints by all the geriatric zombies to not dance and have fun!! Sorry but I will never stop rocking in the free world!!!!
To all the people who felt let down or ripped off maybe you should have thought about what you were buying tickets to..... Neil Young AND Crazy Horse. That is exactly who turned up at Bimbadgen and exactly who rocked the joint. If you wanted Harvest you should have stayed at home with the CD on repeat.
I am 27 and went with my parents who and in their mid 50s and my girlfriend who knows the "Harvest" Neil Young and we all loved it. The guitar work is amazing and Neil's voice fantastic for a 67 year old.
Neil has released 39 odd albums over the years and the majority of his music is exactly what was delivered over the weekend.
To Warrick
Sorry mate, that is BS, maybe a half-dozen people left during the show. I am 56 myself and loved the setlist; of the 15 songs there were 9 from 1990 or before, with 2 from the 60s, 3 from the 70s, 2 from the 80s and 2 from 1990 - how many more old songs did you expect?
The Bimbadgen concert was awesome and powerful, that band can rock. Neil and the Horse did whatever the hell he wanted to do, and that was just fine by me!!
Saw Neil in Adelaide...amazing rapport with crowd who adored him...we sang along to some of his songs, which is unheard of...to those geriatric zombies who expected "Harvest" (im 63)...all of those pieces were woven in to this new material...you missed it! fancy being able to dance my arse off to classic California psychadelic acid rock...felt like i was at filmore west circa 1969...i can still hear it, it entered my DNA LOL!
I think some people have just been asleep at the wheel for 40 years.
Neil and Crazy Horse have so much material and have put our so many albums since Harvest. He has got to be one of the most energetic and cutting edge lead guitarists from his era. The new album is really powerful and it is a new album tour.
What do old people go to new album concert tours for if they don't want to hear the new album material. Try going to one of Bob Dylan's new album tours, you might get lucky and hear one song from the new album, at least til he get's warmed up ten shows in!
Saw them both this fall and if I had more money I'd be down under right now!!!!!
My Wife and I saw our #8 and #9 shows at Bimbadgen and the Sydney E.C. last weekend.
What a superb mix of material by an invigorated Neil Young and Crazy Horse, thank you Neil, Poncho, Billy and Ralph for your dedication.
In a brief moment after the powerful "Walks Like a Giant" I went to the 'loos in the Sydney E.C. to be surprised to hear all the whinges "that sh*t he just played was from before Needle and the Damage Done" or "yeah, he always fukn does this - every time, when do we get the real Neil from Harvest?" well _WHAT_ would they know.
Since when does Neil Young care about record companies' let alone fans, if you don't know this then stay at home; and few if any left - period.
Since 1988 and the incredible "Freedom" album in my opinion has seen the sensitive material from Neil Young, material with a powerful under message.
I think it is fair to quote Scott Young on the recent trend of Crazy Horse; "its just that there's an intensity of effort that can't help to impress the watcher".
"Psychedelic Pill" is no different and we celebrate the progress of the artist, sometimes we go to him such as three Greendale shows in the Radio City - NYC in 2004 or when he tours here we follow the shows, he presents the audience appreciates - period!
"Something special happens when Neil Young touches a Gibson".
"My My Hey Hey" forever Neil Young.
Neil Young blew my mind and my heart!! He played a spesh mix of old and new ;-) Being outdoors, the starry sky above, it was just so beautiful ;-) He was rockin it out like he was in his 20's and the alchemy between the band......ahhhhhh ;-) He is king of grunge and I left feeling like he'd cast a spell on me! A sweet, sweet memory that'l last a lifetime xoxoxo
ou whiny complainers are just sad. When you go to a Neil Young AND Crazy Horse you should know what you are going to hear. If you took 3 minutes to research it, you would have known exactly what he was going play. I saw this show in LA at the Hollywood Bowl and it was EPIC. I heard the same lame BS at the greendale tour... come on people don't blame neil for breaking out the horse, we fans love the horse. the horse is the best hard Rock and Roll out there this year other than the scorpions final tour. Sure I love the acoustic old man take a look at my life stuff, but if the horse is playing that is not what you are getting. Walk like a Giant was genius with that pounding feedback sounds that make you feel a giant is walking on your skull... Rock on Neil and the horse and I will be there every time to soak up your terrible noise with pleasure I was grinning all night long with such joy...
