Damn, Neil was fired up! I'm still holding out hope that Neil comes back to the US with the horse for a second leg this year.
Fuckin' eh!
syscrusher
So, if I understand this correctly Neil was actually born in Ontario, California, USA. ???
If this does not lift your heart and make you smile, nothing will.
I think that was Poncho Sampedro wearing a bandanna, not Nils Lofgren!
it's not "good" but it's real and it's Neil...that counts for something...
Pure Rustovision.

Now that's Le Noise!
This was the Neil making everybody awake call. He was rocking in a free world again.
Yayy!!! I was hoping for Born in the USA! Glad to see that Neil got my message on the morphic waves.
Oh wow, this is epic and awesome! I sure hope there's a soundboard recording or more "official" video available of this.
Sort of a "d'oh" moment when wondering what song NY&CH would cover, as of course it would be the most minimal, in this case just two chords- B, E.
I guess I shouldn't be surprised anymore when people complain about the sound, but, reminder, it's from a frikkin cellphone, Not SoundCity's Neve board!
I'm still miffed that there's no good recording of "I Saw Her Standing There" from the show last year.
Terrible performance. Really stiff playing and dreadful singing. But then again, it was never a good song in the first place.
A Noise
Neil was born in Toronto, Ontario Canada.
Nils was playing the key board and Ponchomwas wearing a bandana.
Excerpt from Rolling Stone:
Everyone from Jim James to Kenny Chesney to Mumford & Sons covered Bruce Springsteen at last night's MusiCares pre-Grammy benefit show, but most people in attendance say the highlight was Neil Young and Crazy Horse's take on "Born In The USA."

Well, it's not what I expected he would play, but given the sequence of the show, him being on last before Bruce, it makes the most sense, gearing the crowd into a frenzie for the main attraction.
And a great NEIL rendition of the song - signed, stamped and delivered by the Crazy Horse Express.
Now, thinking that it's not right cause Neil was not born in the USA gives me reason to consider this. Physical birth is no-ones choice, where, when and to whom. But the sprirual birth, the awakening of mind or soul to a teaching, concept, movement, is altogether an individual choice. And Born in the USA to me also means the realization of FREEDOM of mankind, to not be ruled by other men in the sense that we all have the liberty to think and choose what we believe in and what we will stand up for, and what we will give to, and to refrain from. Unlike many other nations and civilizations this creed sets us apart, and come hell or high water, should never be extinguished by goverments or religion. It is the bonding agent of our society, no matter how rusted and corroded or misguided it seems to have become.
So carry on my fellow 'americans' by birth or re-birth, let your light shine for truth, justice and the FREE way.
