Isn't it about time to change that flag now that they're in the U.S.?
There's nothing wrong with the Canadian flag as far as I can tell. It's all one flag!

You've still got your Statue of Liberty there too. Seems fair to me. Almost half the tour is in Canada.
Try to stay on topic. We're trying to talk about the show here. Not posters and merchandise. Anyone have any real news?

great concert, he is as vital and productive now as when i first heard him in 1969
Ok. As someone who was expecting a C performance, I was blasted with a strong A-. Neil's voice:a+, not sure if I have ever heard better ( about 15 shows since csny2k) Neil's guitar work: A, laol was a great opener, included the "crazy horse huddle", and that was a reoccurring theme for the entire show. Over all sound quality: A++. Very loud, very clean. Superb. Set list: B. new stuff was entertaining, but obviously not as emotional as Laol, Cg, hhmm, needle, fuckin up, etc.
The opening performance with the scientists/stage setup sent chills down my spine. Very glad I attended
Very good show like always. I didnt see anyone leave !! Started with the National Anthem, and had the big mic stand and yellow ribbon like before. He was really into it and so was the crowd as far as I could tell.
Oh yeah, and I would agree that Walk like a giant is "epic", and the feedback ending is superb. If u don't enjoy that shit, ur at the wrong concert
My first Neil/CH concert. Loved the new stuff as well as the old. Surprised to hear Cinmamon Girl! Mr. Soul as the encore was the perfect end to my eve.
Great seats, awesome show.Neil still knows how to put on a ride of music, message, theatrics and plain old fun!An obviously knowing twist to RNS of past, present and future. The new songs feed the story of the legendary band that has givin us so much already. My wife and I took four newbees with us that know we are fanatics and couldn't fathom that poeple would leave a show as this before it's end. The Horse is as alive as ever and in great form and having blast. SEE THIS TOUR! The tears in Ralphs eyes at the final bow said it all.Wish we could drive to Pa. and share more of the joy they are having.

RAMADA INN

Neil Young & Crazy Horse - "Ramada Inn" (Official Music Video)
I really went to hear Los Lobos but was blown away by Neil Young and Crazyhorse. Last saw him as C,S,N &Y. which was ions ago. I'm not a big fan of instrument solo's or jam sessions at a concert but was taken in as the concert went on. Neil Young is a legend to music and it seems continues to push on passing all the boundaries.
One negative note put the huge microphone to the side or loose the ribbon. Distracting and couldn't see them perform at times. Loved the old school speakers.
Best Crazy Horse show I've seen. The new songs all worked except maybe for Psych. Pill. Loved how they turned F'n Up into the Crazy Horse Theme Song with them all pointing fingers saying you f'ed it up at the end. For those paying close attention, he switched the character having another 'tall one' in Ramada Inn from 'he' to 'she'. Made it take on a different feel. Just a wonderfully loud, vibrant and eccentric concert. The first opening band was quite good--anyone catch their name?
One other thing I saw a man in a wheelchair by "The Bridge School" table and inside listening to the concert. I was wondering if that was his son Ben. Anyone know because it sure looked like Neil Young with glasses.
Totally awsome! I love the energy Neil has yet. He and the Horse looked so happy! I wish I could feel what they feel on stage even just for a moment. Two people by us left during F-n up. I just can't imagine why anyone would leave early. I didn't want it to end. Love you Neil!!!!!
want iGreat show!! Who was that first band? They were really impressive!
@Karen...I think I saw the same guy on the rail on the right side of GA. Wasn't Neil's son Ben.
OMG, if you guys don't think Neil is one big nostalgic act you better step away from the booze and drugs. Billy, Ralph, and Pancho are the oldest nostalgic act in the business. Last night, was all about nostalgia. The other songs were just fillers of pretentious power chords and boom boom boom shit. Not complaining, just laughing about the comments I read yesterday blowing off John Fogerty and thinking to myself while I was the concert last night, what the hell do you call Crazy Horse except a one-trick pony nostalgic act? And Los Lobos was totally worth the ticket price I paid.
First band is called Infantry. From Los Angeles.I was front and center in Cleveland, my 28th Neil show 13th Crazy Horse show.By far the best show.Got another Neil pic.Got home to Bflo at 2:30 am, well worth the $100 in gas to get their & back.Neil is totally in great shape, rocked our asses off.My wifes 7th show, she is a fan for life.Neil & the Giants destroyed the city of Cleveland.Enjoy the rest of the tour, its only going to get better. Keep On Rockin!
@Avenging Annie...It's all one song. I don't know what it was but I felt the same things listening to both Powderfinger and Walk Like a Giant. It wasn't nostalgia. Glad you enjoyed Los Lobos.
"fillers of pretentious power chords and boom boom boom shit." ????
You have no clue what you're talking about.
Yes, it's all one song. Yes, it's all nostalgia. What else it is but a longing to hear the same old songs over and over again my friend.
One thing, the guitar work on Ramada Inn is ballbusting even though it sounds like the riff from Grandpa's song in Greendale. Instead the layout of the song isn't a town map or a front porch, but a train track into the dark recesses of memory -- from where most of your best work comes.
Ramada Inn is a masterpiece until the syllables of the lyrics begin protesting "phone home, Neil!" on this mishmash:
"Every morning comes the sun
And it goes rising to the day
Holding onto what they've done"
No fucking kidding? You love your wife, too? Is that all you got left now?
The feableness of the lyrics does not match the intensity of the music unless of course you're reminising about that hot senorita with the low cut dress that accidently rubbed against your body and slipped her phone number into your pocket while your wife was checking out the vending machines at the Ramada Inn.
You might want to listen to Ramada Inn again. It is fully set in the PRESENT with two empty nesters dealing with the struggles, loss, love and joy of a life lived together. The characters in the song are experiencing some nostalgia but their emotions are more complicated than that. This listener hears it as fresh as when I first heard RITFW. As for clunky lyrics, it wouldn't be a Neil Young song without them.
No kidding, it's autobiographical? Are you sure? (Just kidding!)
Neil's lyrics when he gets them right are not clunky unless he's doing a clunky song. This is not a clunky song. This is a masterpiece.
So, Cortez is gone and the surprise of Like A Hurricane and Tonights the Night? Last night the organ with wings was hanging but never came down.
@Soldier Steve: It's Infantree (just in case anyone is trying to look them up).
@Anon 11:08 a.m.: Jusy FYI, second line is, "And they both rise into the day." Makes more sense given the following line.
Stop the bitching and post the set list!
This was the setlist:

"No kidding, it's autobiographical? Are you sure? (Just kidding!)"
I'm hoping it's not autobiographical! It would suggest that Neil or Pegi have a drinking problem and real problems in their marriage. I love the song even with the clunky lyrics. Check out the video just posted. It captures the mood and emotions of the song better than the live versions.
Neil Young man...Last night was excellent. Those boys didn't miss a note. Two words - Neilvision. The video monitors looked like giant portable televisions and the camera angles brought it all upclose with being distracting. The joy and smiles were evident as they played - rocking the place all night.
The new songs do have some very personal and somewhat simplistic lyrics, but the vibe of the songs is great and there's typically a hook or two in there to keep it interesting. The new songs came off great.
Mr Soul encore was very well done and closing out with Roll another number was very county-rock and quite ironic given his recent 'straightening out' but a great inclusion for a bit of variety. Get your tickets folks, this is a great concert. These guys are 'on'. The venue was not sold out, but did have the general open standing on the floor, but I was told you have to have a floor ticket to get down there. Anyway, well worth the 4 hours to get there, the 4 day weekend with some other Neilheads and the total 8 hour ride listening to Archives the whole way.
...that's "without" being distracting there, sorry. I musta got distracted.
Yes, that was Ben at the Bridge School table. Picked up a great t-shirt for a great cause... For anyone on the fence due to the BS negative posts, if you get any chance at all, see the Horse. In the city of the rock hall, they should be there. Neil and Crazy Horse absolutely nailed it!
My lady friend read a lot of "Waging Heavy Peace" to Me before the concert(207 miles to Cleveland). We got to the venue about 6:30 pm. Her first Neil concert (She was blown away), I think it was My 42nd. We had row C seats in section 103 closest section to the stage. Neil's back was to us most of the time but with the monitor right over head We got to see all the emotion. I could go on and on but for Me two words say it all "Ramada Inn". Looking forward to Toronto. Doug S Warsaw N.Y.
Agreed on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They should be in there. There is NO OTHER BAND that cranks it like Crazy Horse. They are on top for their craft and uniqe in sonic sound and delivery. And that whistling throughout Walk like a giant is hypnotizing!
Eventually they'll get around to it. Maybe when they do Johnny Ace, Carol King, King Crimson, Dick Dale, Guess Who, Yes, EL&P, Mary Wells, Runaways, Linda Ronstadt, Heart, Capt. Beefheart, Peter Gabriel, Bon Jovi, Rush, Sonic Youth, Iron Maiden, Les Paul's protege Steve Miller Band, B-52s, and Black Flag.
Just to name a few.
Did anyone notice parts of the wlag jam sound similar to hhmm jams? I did, maybe it was just the way he did it Monday night.
Amazing performance in Cleveland Monday night! It was the best Neil & CH show I've ever seen and the show ranks in the Top 3 shows of my life. We were front row, center. I got a drum stick and guitar pick. Here are a whole bunch of pictures from the show: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.3677573906674.2135575.1494785484&type=1&l=cef08ad476
