Love Randy. Seeing him with BTO several times was great! Well lit concert and he would laugh and joke with everyone in front of the stage. No ego there.
It takes a village! LOL.
It'll be interesting this book. Memoirs, diary, whatever. It sounds more like a recounting of his history taken at this point in time, rather than some pulishing of diary entries or historical memoirs written along the way.
Maybe Neil should use a subtitle as well --- "Musings along the way"
"publishing" rather
Thanks for posting this. Very interesting. I have a ticket for Randy's appearance at the Winter Garden Theatre in Toronto on September 20th which is being held in conjunction with his induction into Canada's Walk of Fame. He's be getting a star on the Walk. (Neil already has a star in between actor Donald Sutherland and race car driver Jacques Villeneuve.) There will also be other events going on such as the official induction ceremony, a dinner, etc. Randy's appearance at the Winter Garden Theatre is titled "Every Song Tells A Story." I believe he's going to relay interesting stories about how various notable songs were written and recorded and play parts of the songs as he talks about them. He did something similar when I saw him at a bookstore appearance in Toronto last fall where he was promoting his memoir "Vinyl Tap Stories."
Hi Sharry,
Nice to see you drop by.
Thanks for the Randy update.
Enjoy the show.
And keep jive alive in T.O.! ;)
I totally get staring down a Gretsch and being totally intimidated by the size of the hollow body and the gear strapped on. It's just seemed massive. Funny, I thought Neil was a lot taller because he handled that guitar so well.
Even looking them today, I am intimidated by their size. In fact, I have to take off my glasses to make sure it's not the magnification in my prescription that makes everything look SO BIG on that guitar.
I love RB and when I heard Shake'n'All Over on the radio it changed my life forever. WOW! It put the XX in SEXY!
MNOTR - you seem like you are anti-everything...including sexiness!
Well, it's all right, even if they say you're wrong.
Well, it's all right, sometimes you gotta be strong.
Well, it's all right, as long as you got somewhere to lay.
Well, it's all right, every day is Judgment Day...
