For Japan: "Hey Hey, My My" - Neil Young & Crazy Horse LIVE
We're not exactly sure of the exact source of this YouTube video of Neil Young & Crazy Horse performing "Hey Hey, My My".
It appears to be from the 2001 era. An outdoor festival somewhere in Asia. Possibly Fuji Rock Festival per Sugar Mountain?? (UPDATE: Confirmed this is 2001-07-28, Naeba Ski Resort, Naeba, Japan, Fuji Rock Festival. Thanks Tom!)
This is a broadcast quality, multi-camera video and highly recommended for capturing the viscerally devastating impact of a Neil Young & Crazy Horse concert. This one goes to 11.
Note the crowd reactions in the 4:15 area as Neil absolutely totally shreds.
For Japan... 幸運
ps - and don't get lost on the Human Highway...

Thank you for posting this clip. I'm away from Japan now in Hanoi, Vietnam, but I always pray for Japan.
Oh boy, how intense ! Possibly even up to 11.5, dontcha think ? ;-)
You're welcome firehills. be well. and thanks for all the re-tweets.
What's holding up these guys getting together again? No other band on the planet plays music like this.
Damn! That only confirms that we need another tour with the Horse!

FANTASTIC AS ALWAYS GREAT SONG AS WELL GREAT MAN SINGING IT TO
Yes, this is from the Fuji Rock Festival, Mukuni, Japan, July 28, 2001. I have it on a bad quality DVD called `This Old Guitar`. Is this only available in Europe? It features Neil and band on `Late Night with Conan O`Brian` singing a selection fron Prairie Wind in 2005, then goes onto 4 songs from Japan!

Oh sorry Thrasher, just read that again and I see you already have it confirmed.
Also on the DVD in the Japan section is a really `trippy` version of Like a Hurricane! Unbelievable!
Please please Neil listen to our pleas and let the mighty Horse out to play!
I have a 2DVD set of that concert in my share, but alas it is letterboxed and the video quality isn't all that (pre-digital days, so probably VHS-sourced). On the upside, the sound is a lossless PCM track.
I have had it in my share for years, but never have gotten round to watching it. Somehow, I stick to my classics, like the BBC concert, or the concert at Austin City Limits 1984. I did watch the 1986 Live in a Rusted Out Garage double DVD last weekend, which has some great stuff on it as well (the Trans and LOW stuff is a bit of an eye/earsore, but kick-ass versions of Cinnamon Girl and Down by the River compensate for that).
Wow.
Hey Thrasher, I have this classic DVD - I love it - I've been hoping it would be released to a larger audience.. It has Gateway of Love and Standing in the Light of Love - both of them are outrageously great -- and the shots of the audience are other-worldly.. this is Neil at his neck-bulging, eyes on fire, scorched earth best !
