The Cowboy Junkies will be performing at the Neil Young Tribute at Carnegie Hall.
Here's The Cowboy Junkies performing the Neil Young cover "Powderfinger" on April 11, 2009 in Dingle, Ireland on YouTube. (Curious as to what the song "Powderfinger" is about? Also, see Neil Young's influence on Cowboy Junkies' music.)
A tribute to the music of Neil Young will be held at Carnegie Hall, New York City on February 10th, 2011. As we reported last year, tribute artists include: Patti Smith, The Roots, Cowboy Junkies, Bettye LaVette, Aimee Mann, Shawn Colvin, Bebel Gilberto, Keller Williams, Joan Osborne, Mason Jennings, J Mascis, Pete Yorn, DeVotchKa, Joe Purdy and featuring Larry Cambell in the house band.

In addition, a contest has been announced -- Rockin' in the YouTube World: The Music of Neil Young You Tube Contest . Entries can be viewed here: YouTube - CityWineryNYC's Channel:
