"Thinkin' your mind was my own in a dream"... The song 'Words' was one of the highlights of the show tonight. Another one was Tonight's the night with Neil behind the piano and Anthony Crawford "picking up Neil's guitar". I did not have very high expectations before the show tonight after reading some of the lukewarm reviews of his earlier shows on this European tour, and after a week with the Archives (My wife wonders when she will be able to watch the television again) I was afraid of an an OD of Neil. However, I found the concert tonight even better than in Oslo Spektrum last year! Happenings like this really makes life worth living! The show started out with a superb accustic set. Thereafter followed a somewhat strange version of Hey Hey, My My, partly due to the drumming by Chad Cromwell. However, the end of the song I was sweating all over my body. Neil did one of his great guitar solos. Neil seemed to be in a very good mood and even Rick Rosas seemed to be enjoying himself now and then. Neil played only old songs tonight, the newest were from Harvest Moon.

Sorry, did not notice the previous set list. I think sugarmtn has the right order of the songs.
The set list I posted earlier was correct. I apologize for doubting it. He's mixed up the greatest hits.
Whine away. setlist changing is the most overrated novelty there is. It's HOW he plays, not WHAT he plays. Concerts are for going to and listening. not compiling statistics from halfway around the world. If you are not there, why do you give a crap what he plays?.
Great show. I saw him twice last year (London and Oslo) and I rate this as the better show, partly due to the setlist, but mostly because Neil and the band were totally on fire. From the big screen it seemed like the band was having a real good time, even Rosas and Keith smiled at occations.
The show was filmed by the Norwegian broadcasting company (nrk.no). Let's hope it's aired at some point.
Come on, bitchin' Anon, set list tracking really is interesting stuff, if only cos it gives you the opportunity to see how a tour develops. I saw Neil's show Sunday in Rotterdam, was disappointed cos of his sloppy playing (yes, the HOW) and can see how changing the setlist (yeah, the WHAT) like he did in Oslo can improve things: starting out acoustic, then the electric stuff, building it up more, and adding some good-humoured semi-singalongs like Roll Another Number. Apparently, Neil himself wasn't very pleased with how things were going - and he was right. Just wish I'd been there in Oslo.
Really strange mix-up that, but cool nonetheless!
My dad's been saying since we last saw him that "it would be an acoustic set first, then electric!" in Aberdeen. If it stays this way, it could be right.
Yet again, another almost PERFECT setlist in my opinion! Then again, many others will disagree!
I would kill for that encore!!
Also, I think it would be really cool if Neil could bring back THE SULTAN as a final encore, like in the 2008 theatre tour.
I don't think the time could be so right for The Sultan to be played, and it's the coolest song I never saw :(
Less than 2 weeks til Aberdeen!
:-)

Not even ONE FITR track? That's too bad. I don't doubt Neil much, but it would be nice to see him doing at least one or two of those songs. I guess it truly is the greatest hits set.
Interesting.
Interesting that FITR has been abandoned so quickly.
What can I say? Neil was in an excellent mood this time. Smiled and enjoyed himself. And the way he "never" ended Rockin' in the free world was magnificent. He laughed every time everyone thought he was going to end the song, and he started over again.
No FITR here, luckily.
And for once, the Oslo show wasn't the shortest in Europe!
Have a look at this:

amazing set Neil! Please play some acoustics 'alone at the microphone' when you come to Nottingham. Oh and def play F%%**in Up - its one of my favourites. How about putting change your mind or other sleeps with angels in the set?
Is it true he's going to play Goin Home in Aberdeen?

Sounds like he's on fire saw NY last year in malahide Dublin and wasn't expecting much but figured this may be the last time ... I've seen him 6/7 times and I never saw him so alive before - such fire n passion - magic. the only downer was the audience - completely uninterested apart frm heart of gold and the other crowd pleasers (which I love too btw) you guys are so lucky to get 2 tracks frm tonight the night - great setlist - man what I wouldn't give to hear him play Albercque with Ben on slide....
