UPDATE: Amazon.UK is out of stock of NYA and has sent the following message to back order customers (via Dave on Rust):
"Please accept our apologies for this inconvenience, but 'Neil Young: Archives, Vol. 1: 1963-1972 [Blu-ray] [2009]' appears to have been a surprise sellout.
When you placed your order, we believed we had access to more copies - we then discovered that every one of our distributors had rapidly sold out.
Major distributors have thousands of copies on order from the publisher, all apparently awaiting the next print run. As soon as more copies become available, we'll be able to dispatch them to our customers."
Bummer Dave. :( Hope you find your little box at the top of stairs soon.
And for those wonderin' about our link title for the TW NYA FAQ, we can only say:
"Stick around while the clown who is sick does the trick of disaster"
Make sense now??? So, take that 4% Club.

Here's today's daily open thread on the Neil Young Archives where you can post thoughts and questions.
Archives Guy seems to be checking in on occasion as time permits. But if you know the answer to folks' questions, please try and help out, to free up AG to focus on newer issues.
Got a report? Drop a comment below. No registration required.
Also, see The Neil Young Archives for FAQ's and tutorials.
Again, feel free to post here your concerns and questions. But also try and resolve through your distributor. If you ordered from WB site, call 866-430-6230.
Another source of good answers to questions is good old fashioned search. There is a search box on right about midway down. If you include "Archives Guy" (with qoute marks) and your question, it might just come up.
And -- as always -- see Everything You've Ever Wanted To Know About The Neil Young Archives But Were Afraid To Ask.
ps - As we mentioned recently, we're dealing with some heavy traffic here @ TW so apologies for slow loads. With the Europe tour and Archives, we have record levels of traffic from around the globe. Quite exciting if you're a data geek, you can watch TW traffic in real time (and always in right bottom sidebar.)

Maybe AG or someone else can help here. Was visiting a Dutch friend last week and we were trying to play the preview disk on a very new LG BD370 blu-ray player with the latest firmware updates.
All of the connections are via standard yellow, red, white connections to a wide format phillips tube TV.
Going from the file cabinet to a song takes 2-3+ minutes. Going from a song "Back" to the File cabinet takes 2-3+ minutes also. Going from song to song via "<<" or ">>" takes just a few seconds.
Any help with the slow access to and from the File cabinet would be appreciated. Seems like an issue with the LG BD370.
Thx,
sugarmtn
-- and I'm enjoying my blu-rays on my ps3 at home. I LOVE finally getting to see the Joel Bernstein Neil photos. Good job.
Folks,
Just a friendly reminder regarding Archives questions.
It seems that temperatures are starting to drop after a hectic first few days since release. As mentioned above, there is a lot of info out there about all types of NYA questions and issues.
Please follow the above sources as a first step.
With that said, feel free to air your thoughts here. Try and be cool and patient and relax and breathe deep.
Lastly, we know there are tons of positive stories out there. But they're too busy enjoying NYA to post. But let us know if you come up for air something positive.
Otherwise, don't let it bring you down, it's only the NYA working out the kinks.
Smile on your brother.
peace & love,

Finally got the MP3s going. Now onto the next question:
I have the Blu-Ray discs, many of which list "Hidden Tracks" after the "official" track listing.
So...how does one get MP3s of the hidden tracks? It doesn't look like they're on iTunes; is there any way to capture these for an iPod, or are these Blu-Ray/DVD only? Are they on the CD versions? That would really suck for those of us who spent extra for Blu-Ray.
Is there any way to connect a CD Burner to a PS3 to make a CDR of the Hidden Tracks?
Thanks!
what's up with pricing on these sets? Amazon and DeepDiscount claim the "list price" (before discount) for the Blu-Ray version is $349.99. Borders claim the "list price" (before discount) is $433.99. Why is Borders list price so much higher than others? I ask because I've got a 40% off Borders coupon...
I'm not much on searching around for the hidden tracks but would like to be to hear/see them. How can I learn where to find them?

We in the UK have been royally fucked by Warners, I'm virtually speechless with rage.
If the Archives really have sold out completely here - practically on the day they were officially released (inexplicably one week later than in the rest of the civilised world) - then I'll be both utterly devasted and truly furious.
People have been asking how limited this Blu-Ray set is FOR MONTHS, with absolutely no answer from either Warners or Archives Guy.
PLEASE GIVE US SOME ANSWERS NOW so we know whether its worth selling our cars/houses/Glastonbury tickets in order to buy the last few sets on eBay, probably for extortionate amounts.
Please.
Thos.
I picked up my BR set at the local record shop in Canada. They only got one in and thats all they said they could get. I know the local HMV has/had 4. Sorry to hear peole in the UK getting burned and with both feet on the ground.
Archives Team. THANK YOU. This is a wonderful thing. I am a music buff and this BR set is what dreams are made of. From navigating, to sound quality, to content, This thing just set a new standard. Its beyond what I expected. Wow!
If anyone cares I am using the Samsung 1500 with the latest updates and it is running good. A little jittery when loading but on the whole its a smooth operation.
Thank You Neil!

For your caption/credit on the Joel Bernstein photo of Neil playing the white Gretsch in the barn....that would be Sept 10, 1971
sugarmtn;
saw your post the other day and am looking into it.
We have not tested this player and there is a good chance that LG will need to come up with a firmware update to make this better.
Shall advise as details come in.
HIdden tracks questions:
This question has come up several dozen times and the answer remains that the Hidden Tracks are only on Blu-ray and DVD. They will not be released on iTunes, as MP3 downloads or on CD.
Please refer to out FAQ page for more questions and answers like this one.

I have just learned that Archives Volume 1 in Blu-ray has sold out worldwide. This does not mean that you can't order it online or buy it in a store, but there are no more copies to be shipped to stores. What is currently in stock is all that remains of this very popular format.
There will be a second edition, but it will not be available for several months.
As most of you know, I don't work in manufacturing, shipping, marketing or sales, so please don't ask questions about those topics. I won't have answer for you. No many how times you ask such questions, my ability to offer an answer won't change.

Dear Archives Guy,
Once again a BIG thank you to Neil and crew for AWESOME Archives vol.1.!!But the greedy hand part of me would like to know...What's the ETA on FITR Blu-ray ed.?And.What's the possibility on Archives vol.2 being out this time next year if not before? Thanks again dude.:)
The Mugwump
Thanks, Archives Guy. Not what I wanted to hear re: the Hidden Tracks, but I won't blame the messenger.
FWIW, Amazon (where I bought it) shows the Blu-Ray set still in stock...
"I have just learned that Archives Volume 1 in Blu-ray has sold out worldwide."
The suprising thing about that is that it happened.
I would've anticipated that all the 'marketeers' would have know their target audience and planned accordingly. They only had 20 years to figure it out.
"dissappointment, heartache on my brain"
now even Thrasher is S.O.L.
Anyone know WTF is going on with the UK warner BD pre orders,£207 and only 1 disc to show.
what a sack of flaming David Cosby shit...sold out...i've had the thing ordered for months. When in living memory did box sets properly sell out, they may say that they are limited edition but they still make a million plus. ARGHGHGHGHG

That's good news for you if you have an order placed.
It is those who haven't placed an order nor made a purchase that might be left out in the Blu-ray cold for a few months...if they take don't advantage of what is available.
The "SOLD OUT" sign applies mostly to retailers who won't be able to restock immediately.
At no time has it been inferred that orders previously place won't be honored.
Don't start false rumours based on panic.

Archives guy I'm in the UK and did not get my expected blu-ray set from Amazon UK today. I walked into Reflex in Newcastle Upon Tyne at lunchtime and nabbed the only set, immediately cancelled the Amazon order, which judging by the emails regarding release will be on or near the twelve of never.
This is fantastic, the audio, video and user interface are spot on. It is Christmas morning in my living room and I'm jittering with excitement and adrenalin. Compliments to one and all.
The packaging on two of the discs is a wee bit mangled on the spines. The discs are Disc 0 and Disc 9, both being flattened and rolled over on themselves. This is annoying though understandable. Due to the tightness of the box the Discs nearest the edges are at risk.
You have advised customers in the States to contact Warners Bros with issues of this sort. Who should customers like myself in the UK contact to obtain replacement sleeves?
Many thanks; by the way the set absolutely rocks!!!
ok i take that back as long as it turns up. But still i would have thought enough copies would have been produced for it not to sell out straight away.
Thanks Archive Guy
To all UK fans.
Go to amazon.com now and order the blu ray. It is still in stock. It will cost a little more, after factoring in the inevitable customs charges, than amazon.uk, but it will ship today. I know this because I have ordered another one within the last hour and it is being prepared as I type. The order is to cover a friend who is faced with the amazon.uk fiasco.
As a long time Neil fan I've been waiting like the rest of you for this set. I had planned to go all out and get the Blu-ray set and a player to view it but recently both my wife and I lost our jobs of 20 years. I scraped together enough money to pick up the cd set and I couldn't be happier (well, maybe if the book came with it).
With luck, our fortunes will change and I can afford to spring for the full blown set.
But for now, I am very excited about the Archives and cannot wait for the next volume.
there are still stocks via amazon japan - http://www.amazon.co.jp/Neil-Young-Archives-1963-1972-Blu-ray/dp/B001B8PV4U/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1244582806&sr=1-2
as a result i feel a bit guilty regarding my massive enthusiasm and gratitude to all concerned. As i always felt this has totally reinvented the standards of box sets...by light years
MR A-G - thank you for your tireless brokering of information and most diplomatic communication...BUT....
2 polar opposite questions / points please
a major fault...my 7 year old wants to know why Neil doesnt know the words to his own songs as he doesnt always follow the lyrics on the lyric sheets on disc one - which is where we have got to so far...she loves singing along...any suggestions as im always telling her to read only the words on the pages in her books - dont add or change them...shes confused ??
and
the beatles (estates) should be sh1tting themselves if they think an overpriced audio only reissue remaster of sub 30 minute albums in the autumn will be acceptable (message to NY - have you sent yer mate Macca a BR set with a post-it note "eat a peach" ?) ......any suggestions for them ?
Hey SONY,
Fear not! The Blu-ray set is right here by side. Never out of sight. ;)
Just lacking something to play them with. But have a PS3 on order.
Thanks for your concern. I feel so bad for all who are not holding NYA in their hands.
t
I got a blu ray edition that was missing disc 6. The record store i bought it from was waiting for his distributors to get more so he could exchange mine...now that there are no more copies being distributed, im pretty sure im screwed.
Royally F#@!ed. Thanks Amazon. Had it ordered since day one, seems ill get it day NEVER.
SONY:
ps - thanks for the little treat! very cool.
Hello Archives Guy, I seen a post for this but do not know if it has been answered yet. On the Blu-Ray the video is out of sinc with the audio (Mr. Soul performance), whats up with that? I have the samsung 1500 with the latest updates and the MDMI cable going straight to the TV.
Thanks
Doug

Your not screwed. No need to panic.
Hi AG-
Can you please tell us if you know anything about the release date for Fork In The Road on blu ray.
Thanks!!
Hopeless BD addict (thanks to the NYA Vol 1)
Incredible that NYA sells out world wide in less than a week!
Amazing Neil!
Hi AG,
I just got finished importing the downloads into iTunes and noticed that they're 256k. Is it something I did or are the downloads indeed 256k?
Thanks for all your efforts and looking forward to Vol. 2!
I've just been listening to Topanga One and I'm curious-- do you know, AG, approximately when the remixes for I've Been Waiting for You and What did you do to my Life? (as well as the other remixed tracks) were done. I'd swear I've Been Waiting for You sounds worlds clearer!
D.I. Kertis-
Those mixes would have been in October 1968.
Henry:
The downloads that went live last night were indeed 256 kbps.
That will be changing and corrected soon.
Stay tuned.
I'll return after the 2nd period.

I am extremely disappointed about the delayed release of the Archives for us folks in the UK. After all, I set-up my Blu-Ray player last week and purchased both Zodiac and The Fly which have proven to be incredibly great quality in the format. Thus, only quenching my thirst for a "taster" of what Blu-Ray has to offer from a sound/vision/interactivity perspective.
Anybody interested in listening to the Archives on "shitty old MP3", can do so on Spotify. It's good enough for me while I'm waiting in great anticipation for the "real thing."
AG- thanks for your time, effort, and patience.
How often will the Archives Insider Posts be updated? I know that w/ BD-Live there will be a notification. but will there also be a way to save the Insider updates?
Also your post a few days back mentioning the on deck BD-Live updated was a real tease. Any ideas on when we can be expecting that to be released?
Thanks.
Archives Guy, Just a thought. If you look at the time line, it goes all the way up to Journey Through The Past. It also shows the album artwork for Time Fades Away. This isn't a question of whether or not Neil will "release" TFA, but if the years on Vol. 1 go up to 1972, and TFA was in 1974, would any of the material from that time be on Vol. 2. I was just wondering because it looks like the official stopping point of Vol. 1 is 1974 where the white feather is.
Thanks
CD
AG- If we unknowingly downloaded the 256K files last night will we get another chance to grab the higher quality 320K files, or are we SOL with our one download?
Thanks.
LRR
Just tested the Sony BDP-S360 with the network cable plugged in. I can't tell you how easy this is. I just turned it on with a disk in it and I got the note from NY. The file downloaded in about 2 minutes and was right on the timeline.
Real swift. Because the TV is nowhere near my network connection, I'm now watching the Archives plugged composite into a tiny sony DV cam and watching it on the 2 inch screen to continue my testing.
I can't wait for my wifi player to ship!
Vol. 2 would definitely start with 1973.
Doonerak-
Glad to hear that you got set up and are Archives bound.
Now you just have to move yur TV. :-)
TFA is for sure at the top of the Timeline for Volume 2.
Doonerak on the MP3's.
Don't worry, Archives Guy is on the case to take care of you folks.
5 stars from Johnny Rocket!!
Pittsburgh 1 Detroit 0 after 2 periods....
DONT PANIC MOST MAJOR RETAILERS HERE IN THE U.S HAVE THE ARCHIVES IN STOCK INCLUDING AMAZON,BARNES AND NOBLES ECT
ARCHIVES GUY SAID IT IS OUT OF STOCK FOR DISTRIBUTORS AND STORES TO GET ADDITIONAL COPIES BUT IT IS NOT OUT OF STOCK IN THE STORES
LOCAL BARNES AND NOBLES HAS TWO COPIES YESTERDAY SO LOOK AROUND THEY ARE OUT THERE
ALSO AMAZON UK IS FULL OF SHIT THE SALES RANKING FOR THE BLUE RAY IS 1,192 WHICH MEANS THEY HAVENT SOLD VERY MANY.

Well I just placed my order for the Blu-Ray set from Amazon.ca and everything seems fine. They appear to still have some in stock, and my order is being prepped for shipment and should be out tomorrow!
It should only be another 4-6 days and I'll have in my player!
I CAN'T WAIT!!!
Cheers to all who made this project a success, and a big congrats on it selling out so fast. That just shows the dedication of the fans.

Wow, so classic Neil ... he made it with all the warts wanted the good, bad, and ugly out there, didn't care if it sold 200 copies he was going to get it out there no matter what it took (even 20 years later) and of course it sells out! For all the 4%ers complaining that it was about the money ... now you see he could have charged ALOT more and he didn't ... it never was and never will be about the money ... he'll probably never break even on this even if they print three more sets ... this is about documenting one of the greatest (if not the greatest) musical legacies of all time and we are priveledged that Neil basically kept almost everything for 40 years and has the vision to create such a leading edge platform. Hats off to you Neil (and Archives Team) ... you guys never fail to delight fans beyond any expectation ... seeing even Jonny Rocket so satisfied is icing on the cake.
Dan
Not sure if anyone has made a similar comment yet, but considering recent debates about the cost of the Archives, I figured I'd share my own low-cost alternative to Blue-Ray, DVD, etc. -- which is to purchase the SONGS themselves on Amazon. Just the songs.
Though it may be true that in doing so I have missed out on the mountain of extras (and all that they document), for me it is really all about the music, which provides more than ample access to the evolution of Neil Young the artist.
In fact, the extras (video, pictures, memorabilia) provide temporary fulfillment when you stack it all up against the music itself. In the end, which "media" will we all be turning to once the "crush" of receiving the archives for the first time is over? The music has no shelf life whereas all else may just end up, well, on the shelf.
We should feel blessed that present technology provides an array of choices for how we want to experience the archives. Blue Ray was designed to revolutionize the way Neil Young fans experience the standard box set. For those who clamor for that experience, there's an attendant expense. If this is the experience you are looking for, then economics dictate that the cost is right -- go for it; it's clearly the most enhanced experience. For those who want a lower-cost version of the multimedia experience, there's the DVD option. And, finally, for long-time Neil Young fans who care mostly about the music, there's "an easy thing to lose [sight of] ... the right to pick and choose" (Extra, Extra).
By buying just the music, you can purchase the Neil Young Archives experience at a price equal to any other musical experience currently available (commercially speaking) -- except that for a true Neil Young fan, the experience of hearing all of this great unreleased material for the first time is truly priceless.
Enjoy.
Hey AG,
Purchased the Blu-Ray version in Australia. Very impressed with the packaging. Top notch from everyone involved - you should all be proud.
Only problem is I can't watch it as I dont have a BD player.
Have you tested any Pioneer branded BD players and does NYA work OK on these in particular the Pioneer BDP-120 or BDP-320??
I would just like to express my gratitude to the Archives team for the incredible achievment that is Volume 1.My frustration at 20 years of delayed release was instantly swept away by the brilliance of this format. If we had gotten some mega CD box set all those years ago but now the Archives team could say "look what we could have given you if you weren't so impatient" then I would be feeling short changed.Even the release of Fillmore and Massey Hall was a sign that the Archives were real and that my refusal to join the Hell Freezes Over Club was going to be rewarded.I have certainly got my moneys worth in the years of listening to those 2 astounding concerts and a new superior sound will make them new again.I am no longer anxious about future volumes -the Post Informer says they are on the way and the most important thing is not when but that they match the quality of Volume 1.And finally thanks Thrasher and Archives Guy for keeping the light shining and information flowing about this magical musical obsession.
I am an owner of all three formats. After racking my brain to figure out a way to get an analog audio signal out to the "zones" in the rest of the house, while playing and seeing the video in our bar,I needed to get the DVD version. My receiver doesn't allow you to choose an analog signal to go out with HDMI video. The Playstation 3 makes you chose HDMI, Optical/Coaxial, or analog audio. Only one at a time. BUT, my non blu ray DVD player lets me put out the hi res video and 192 audio via HDMI and also send out an analog signal that I think is 96khz. I listen to the 192 res audio in the bar and watch the video there, while the analog is pumped into other rooms and outside to our firepit area. I can see the visuals of the DVD thru the window to the bar from outside while hearing it in our outdoor zone or even in the bathroom.(Nice to have the second book for time spent in there:-)
I am set now here. Long story but everything works for me when I need it too.
I'm still only on the second disc after spending a couple months with the preview disc. I can now see why Blu ray is THE format to have (if you can eventually afford it and get a bd player). Once you've had the blu ray, you miss a lot of the features (and sound) of the bluray version when you are using the DVD version. When you go to the folder in the file cab on DVD you don't hear the music until you hit the play arrow, which takes you back to the play all mode. That's fine, but being in the cabinet and hearing the music and perusing the goodies is just too much fun on the blu ray! All formats sound wonderful to me, but the sound of the bluray is noticeably better than the DVD, which is barely better than the CD IMO.And someone said they just wanted the music. I could not disagree more now that I've seen what is included as extras on disc 0 and disc 1. The little audio and video clips are essential IMO. The memoribilia is important because it is stuff we would NEVER even see unless Neil were to make the Ranch into a "Graceland" type museum when he leaves to get back in the studio with Briggs and Danny.
One satisfied Archives user in Seattle speakin' out!!
I've found two of the hi-res album cover artwork (for discs 0 and 1) on wikipedia at the link below.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Archives_Vol._1_1963-1972
Has anyone found hi-res artwork elsewhere on the internet, or at least made scans?
I prefer to use those for my ituens album artwork over the generic artwork that was provided with the free download
I just got home and turned on Public Broadcasting TV. They just announced that NEIL YOUNG will be on American Masters at 9:00pm PST on Wednesday 6/10/09 discussing and playing songs pertaining to the Archives!
Now, I'm with OPB, not Oklahoma or Ohio, the other "O" state.
AG, anything you can fill us in on?
And Thrash, this is NY news..BIGTIME! If this pans out to be true, why oh why isn't this blaring all over this site?
Definitely gonna DVR this!
Question. The guy who asked about when the 'remix' was done for such and such was done. I am curious about changes to mixes on these 'remasters' (remaster seems like such a small word in refernce to the work presented here).
How much were instrument levels changed? In reference to mixes of songs from albums, what was mixed different. The master tape or were individual levels changed? For instance Broken Arrow. It sounds unreal! Is this the original mix, shined up (so to speak) or is this a whole new mix?
Is there a link to further information about this and the mastering process I missed?
-Curious in Denver
PS Love the prior comment about how Neil released it 'warts' and all. Love it. So true! So authentic. Anyone complaining about quality, should recognize the source and embrace the human quality of this release.
Back to the dreaded mp3s: Thought I'd seen some reference here to the remastered albums being available on iTunes as 320kpbs mp3s - anyone know if that's true? My understanding was that the new DRM-free iTunes still offered AAC format files, at 256kbps (the mp3 downloads for these albums at Amazon are 256). Then again, if anyone's really got a good enough ear to tell the difference between 256 and 320 ... then why are you wasting your time listening to mp3s anyway?
Babs
Archives Guy,
Disc - Early Years 1966-1968 comes 80029906 invalid disc. Reported to W.B. using ps3 with the latest updates. FYI
Hi please can ANYONE tell me if i have a UK PS3 PAL plyer if the Blu Ray box bought from Amazon.com would still work - i.e. is it region free?
thanks!!
Has anyone had luck buying this from Borders with the 40% off coupon? Do they take 40% off their absurd list price of 433$?
UK PS3 answer ..
all BD copies are region free all are the same production run for the whole world , hence lack of copies in the UK ( Warners UK underestimated demand).
Copies purchased from the U.S. play fine on UK PS3s.
Did anybody notice the "Archives Volume 2 Trailer - 2009" listed as one of the dummy titles on the screen that explains how the BD-Live works? Can't wait til they let that out!!!
(P.S. Archives Volume 1 on Blu-Ray is a masterpiece, and exceeds my expectations in so many ways. It's not even about unreleased songs, it's about hearing his work presented chronologically in the best possible sound, and all the visuals are a nice bonus, since I'm so used to how Neil looks 'now'--it's pretty funny to see him all young and dopey, and it's really made me appreciate his early work so much more.....that said, did I mention the Vol 2 trailer?)
(P.P.S. -- LOVE the easter eggs...fun!)
Hello rusties, here in the uk its still a waiting game, ordered set in march from WB, have had the preview Blu ray disc, had eamil two weeks ago archives had shipped... yet here i am still waiting? who else from uk is in the same boat?
HEY ARCHIVES GUY WHO CAN WE CONTACT ABOUT THIS?
SICK OF WAITING I WANT TO WATCH IT!!
Hate to disappoint you man - bu tmy Phish Box Set recently was held up at customs for 4 weeks til it got to me for duty payment! So your NY box may be a while yet - NOT ME LOL!!! Was told by Amazon today it may be another 3-4 months before the distributor reissues! Picking mine up tomorrow from HMV - i asked them to lock it in a secure cabinet !! God 24 hours and it'll be mine - my precious!!
Well I won't be back til' later on - if I do come back at all....
I have had Blu Ray edition for nearly two weeks now and I am still having a lot of fun and enjoying the amazing sound.
Thanks Archive Guy, NYA and Thrashers Wheat this has been a great forum answering enquiries the whole way through. Now back to those hidden tracks...........
Yep still waiting1 At least those of us who pre ordered from WB will get them eventually a lot of folk are going to have to wait a lot longer.Anyone in europe got theirs from WB yet?Its tough thinking my blu ray set is probably sat in a warehouse at heathrow waiting for the customs man!
Dolbero - I hope it turns up soon man and the customs guys dont realise its street value and decide to have an ebay sale lol.
I imagine youre looking at a £50 hit for customs and duties and royal mail handling on it - I got the Phish Clifford Ball box last month ($90) and I had to pay £22 customs just on that!
Now 24 hours to go and I'll be up all night listening to the sweet sounds!
Sorry to tell you but the the DVD version DOES sound GREAT! WAAAAAYYYY better than the CDs. Though I'm sure the bluray sounds even better, I cant complain about the DVD's they sound awesome on my MAC
Hey from Toronto.
Got home late last night to find Archives Blu-Ray pre-ordered from ny.com had arrived. Even better news, I have the day booked off work so I could dig right in.
Bad news? Renovators arrived to do some work on the house and that means no access to the TV for the whole day. Torture.
Set looks amazing, though. So close, and yet so far ...

Portage and Main:
Since the Am Masters is the BBC's DBD, i think many folks saw it last year.
As for not playing it big here. Well, got a couple of things going on.
Let's see. A tour in Euro & a new release of a little 10 disc set.
Kinda got us a wee bit busy.
btw, when we're not trying to keep the servers from blowing up & melting down, we try and revel in our book & 45.
I just don't hear folks talk about how great the 45 is? Everybody keeps yakking about that BR stuff. ;)
peace & love,

ps - my little box at the top of the stairs w/ a PS3 will be here anyday!!!
Ya you're missing the fact that the tracklist was set several years ago. The fact that the sugar mountain cd was a spur of the moment afterthought.
And lastly you're missing the fact that this was addressed by Archives Guy.
Not that I expect you to follow every detail
Computer Cowboy
I'm just giving you the answer they gave. Seems pretty reasonable to me. The set was slated to come out like 2 months after Canterbury.
As for Sea Of Madness, I have no idea about anything to do with that song. I'm still waiting for my set to arrive.
Computer Cowboy
Yep, my excitement hearing it was
gonna be on tonight, and not seeing
"Neil Young:Don't Be Denied" yet, sent me in a flurry to comment here about it. I totally spaced that it was out last year. So, I'll kick back tonight and watch it for the first time and know that this site is staying current with everything Neil.
I received my Archives set yesterday and am still waiting on my PS3 order to arrive too.

Just called the Warner archive customer service line to report that the stash box "lid" in my blu ray box has come unglued. They were very nice and said they will send a new one.
Has anyone bought a blu-ray box set that didn't come with the two large product stickers on the outer wrapping. Mine came that way for some reason.

Thanks, AG. I wasn't sure if the mixes were from the time of recording or if they were done for this release.
Help...where is the footage of Neil buying the CSNY bootleg? If it's an extra, I can't find it; if it's part of the regular DVD discs, I blinked and missed it. BTW, I was part of that Toronto guitar throng that almost broke the world record playing "Helpless" last week.

Any update on the mp3 situation? I downloaded all of them last week as 256 kbps (only option). Can I download again once the 320's are up?
The 320's are up now. Took me an hour to download the lot last night.
Rob Todd.
