Amazing show, intense from the very beginning (surprise start - HHMM). Great Pocahontas, quite moving. Words - I have no words;) Don’t Let It Bring You Down - a dream come true. Comes A Time - false start, a part of the band (Rick or Ben) was playing another tune, don't know which one. Neil laughing and (seemed) in a good mood. Surprise Speakin' Out and later TTN - both great with Neil at the piano. Anthony was playing lead guitar and was excellent. Neil was shouting at him and provoking him from behind the piano. DBTR and Fuckin’ Up were the highlights for me. It was just unbelievable. Fuckin’ Up - long, long ending, Neil standing in front of Chad and feeding back the guitar and wildly gesticulating on him to play along (I was thinking about Ralph Molina at the moment, he would have managed the situation better I think). RITFW - all hands in the air, two false endings with Neil beginning to sing again. Unfortunately, at this point my mom got dizzy and was about to faint so I had to drag her out of the crowd (we were right in front of the stage, 2nd or 3rd row). So I wasn't there for the most intense RITFW and A Day In The Life endings...
I drove home (to Czech Republic) all night, went to sleep at 6 and was woken up by a postman at 9. He was delivering a huge parcel from USA, what could it be;) The best way to wake up!:)
Bye, I have to unwrap the Archives now.

PS: There was a taper in front of me. Saw him sticking his equipment in his pants before the show. Checking Dime every hour:)
"PS: There was a taper in front of me. Saw him sticking his equipment in his pants before the show."
Saw a bunch of guys in the men's toilet doing the same thing. Didn't realise they were tapers... :-)
When it comes to rare songs, I was
mostly attending the wrong shows in the past.
This time I think I was lucky.
Neil delivered wonderful versions of Speakin' Out, Fuckin' Up, Tonight's The Night and an outstanding RITFW. I've seldom
saw him in such a good mood last
year and I had the feeling, that
his performance was even more
stronger physically. No Lost In Space and Feel Your Love in sight,
though. Seeing Neil playing Ol'
Black with his teeth very intensly
reminded me of the 1996 tour.
Neil can do no wrong! This was
(almost) a pure rock'n roll show,
Cologne was different but as well
great.
