Tattoo of Young Neil
After we featured a Neil Young tattoo of the Continental tour logo last month, we started getting a heads up on a few more that have been spotted lately.
The latest Neil tattoo comes from Fredrik in Sweden. Frederik hosts the fantastically indispensable Neil Young Songbook.
Here's what Frederik has to say about his Neil Young tattoo:
I made my first tattoo about 13 years ago and since then I've always wanted to get more. It's really addictive once you've started. Around 2006 I started doing some more and now got both my upper arms done, one arm with the virgin mary and the other one in a japanese theme. The oriental imagery is what's appealing and my next project is doing an entire backpiece this fall.
The Neil-tattoo is done in 2008 in a studio called Rats Eye Tattoo in Kalmar, Sweden by a talented young girl named Zannie. Since I am such a huge fan of Neil Young and has been for the last 20 years I decided I was going to do a Neil-tattoo. I've discussed this with my good friend and we agreed that you probably do want a tattoo that clearly is Neil and therefore I decided to go with young Neil, which is more original and identifiable. I really didn't want any other old ragged man tattooed on my leg...
I searched the net for a couple of months and found this drawing on deviantART and then used a slightly modified harvest-logo for the text. The tattoo itself took 2.5h to make and it hurt like hell.. much more than any of the others did. Damn you Neil for inflicting such pain on me! But I'm really pleased with it and haven't regretted it for a second.
Thanks Fredrik! You wear it well.

That's a little bit insane.
What would Percival think about it ?
Nice tatoo, anyway.
