He's playing Barce at the end of May & UK at the end of June - thats at least 3 weeks in Europe - don't worry I'm sure he'll get around as many places as he can.
He's got product to sell coming up this year and he wants to get his name out there again.
I think he wants to get places he might not be able to later - thats probably why he has hasn't played that many US dates since end of 2007 (a lot of last years were in Canada).
My guess for the UK is one more in Newcastle and one maybe down south as well as Hyde Park & Glasto. I'll have an outside punt on Harewood House nr Leeds - not that would be convenient - I could walk back to my mate Dave's house after!

After it took me fours hours to get off the site after The Who a couple of years back, I vowed never to back there for a gig again. Guess I'd have to if Neil played my home town.
where have you heard that glasto is confirmed. There are rumors he is playing iow and not glasto.

Any ideas what the Dublin date is likely to be? Malahide Castle isn't doing any outdoor gigs this year, so presumably he'll play indoors somewhere, the 02 presumably??
He's playing The O2 in Dublin on Sunday 21 June. Presale begins this Saturday. General sale starts on Monday. He's also a definite for the Saturday of the Hard Rock Calling festival in London.
I'm still waiting for Neil to come and play Nyack.

They are upset he's the headliner. A lot of comments like "who is Neil Young?" "why couldn't they get Oasis, U2 or The Red Hot Chili Peppers" etc. It's kinda sad but I take solace in the thought that Neil himself would probably find it really funny. I hope lots of Neil fans buy tickets now so he doesn't feel too unloved there!
btw, the Drowned In Sound forum users aren't dissing Neil they are quoting the facebook group and IoW forum in disbelief. They are defending him because they can't believe people are saying that stuff.
Yay! Just got our tix for Neil in Antwerpen! I was having a terrible morning when a "Neil Young tickets on sale now" message from livenation.be popped up, I jumped for joy! The Dutch weather may be gloomy but there is sunshine in my world again!

After a Canadian tour in early April, Young
performs in Denver (April 27), Omaha (April 29), Kansas City (April 30) and New Orleans at the Jazz & Heritage Festival (May 3).
Word is, now that Neil is playing IOW, Hyde Park might be out of the question.
I seriously hope not, I was really looking forward to seeing Neil twice in a week.
Worst thing is, IOWighters dont seem to appreciate Neil. None of them seem to even know his music.
So it's simple really; if you're going to IOW, or any Neil show this year, RAISE THE ROOF IN SUPPORT. And enjoy yourself, of course.
I can't wait to see Neil again this year, and I seriously hope he returns to London on the 27th :-)

I'm a dreaming man, yes that's my problem...
The show at Montreux Jazz Festival won't happen. According to the boss of the festival, the date was set, the conditions were agreed on both parts and Neil suddenly decided that his Euro tour would end in June.
For those interested, the festival press conference is available on their website : http://www.montreuxjazz.com (Neil's not making it into the final line-up is mentionned at the end, during the Q&A's)
Lots of people disappointed over here in Switzerland, as you can imagine.
I have just seen that the announced30th may concert in Barcelona is being officially confirmed, but nothing yet about the other one in San Sebastian.
That's the reason why I would like to ask Neil again to come to Madrid, even though I see there are many already confirmed dates for the Europe tour.
But maybe there is still a chance, or a date, who knows...
I wish my dream could come true, like last year.

Saw Neil in Nottingham last night. This is the first time I have seen him live.........it was simply fantastic. He jumps around that stage like a teenager. Neil is the same age as my husband I wish he could jump around like that lolol.

I also saw Mr Young for the first time last night, I have been to a lot of great gigs but I can say without doubt that last night was the greatest gig I have ever been to! It was simply astounding, that man truly is god!!!
Sorry we missed Neil at cancelled Forum date in Los Angeles. Hope to see you here soon Neil. Been enjoying your music since the 60s!
