This is the funniest thing I've read about Neil's past ... what a character even back then.
Sweet!

Why can't Neil be more like he was fifty years ago??? I hate it when people change! The new stuff sucks.
you suck!
I don't remember hearing Neil 50 years ago...he was only 14 years old, man. Hahaha...
Parts 6 and 7: Richie Furay and Jim Messina
It seems to be quite a long story (as it is).
Well it's 6 o'clock in the morning in the land down under.
Outa bed and straight to the 'box' with brekky in hand...'Thrasher's Wheaties'of course!
A new thread greets me..usually kicks off with a comment from my old fave....The 'mother' of intention'.. (sorry Frank (RIP) I bastardised ya band name!)..yep.. and ya didn't let me down Mother!Ya know this will be a great thread, 'cause it'll open up the eyes to all the 'young rusty' disciples who have only recently 'seen the light' and who haven't had an insight into early Neil before..ya know what they say..if ya remember the sixties..ya weren't there!
Neil was a really cool guy when he was fourteen...the white bucks were a little weird, though.
i'm glad they posted those in full. VERY interesting.. and emotional. thanks for sharing.
I saw the original post in early feb....was traveling back to US from Amsterdam. Looked for uncut (a fav mag of mine...get it at the airport whenever i travel) but they had moved on the Feb issue. Was seriously bummed.
My flight to Germany (for connection to LA) was cancelled and they rerouted me thru Heathrow.....Low and behold they still had the Jan issue in London. A great read for a 12 hour flight. The music on the free CD is pretty cool....very Neil-esque....lots of acoustic with g-harp.
Thanks Thrasher for all the posts.
Cheers and Welcome Back to Europe Neil....saw 4 shows here last year...plus MSG in December. Festivals are so cool over here.
