Pearl Jam Covers "Fuckin' Up" in DC
Last night at Pearl Jam's Washington, DC concert tour stop, the band covered Neil Young's 'Fuckin' Up'. The song was dedicated to U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney.
Vedder introduced the song by saying he received a call from VP Cheney while in DC. When Eddie asked Dick how he got his phone number, Dick said that 'he had sources at the NSA' -- a reference to the recent wiretapping scandal at the spy agency.

I saw Pearl Jam in Grand Rapids, Cleveland and Detroit. They covered "Fuckin' Up" in Cleveland. It was awesome. I cannot wait till the Pittsburgh show.
Pearl Jam is one of the few bands that can do Neil songs justice. Their cover of "Harvest Moon" is absolutely gorgeous. Check it out if you haven't already.
PJ covered RITFW at the Chicago United Center shows. Again.
I just saw Pearl Jam both nights in Toronto, Cleveland and Detroit.
Toronto N2 was full of love for Neil, Ed introduced I Got Shit and said "this is a song we wrote with your friend...uncle Neil" then at the end ED came out and did part of Cinnamon Girl solo and the crowd went crazy, then did Fuckin Up in the encore.
Also N1 in Toronto they did RITFW in the encore and introduced it as "a great Cnd folk song that goes like this.." and through out the night Ed would say "lets have a toast to Uncle Neil". Those Toronto shows especially N2 you could feel and hear the Neil love, it was great! Brought back memories of seeing Neil and PJ togethter in Toronto at Exhibition Stadium(93') when PJ came back out and did RITFW with Neil!!
Cleveland they cover Fuckin Up too.
I saw the second Toronto PJ show, and was so thrilled they did Fuckin' Up. From their Live on Two Legs album it is my absolute favourite song. Anyway, yeah, the Toronto show was definitely full of love for 'uncle Neil', and Eddie interjected "George Bush loves this song" in the middle of Fuckin' Up.
pj's toronto+ phillie 05 harvest moon was heavenly.
