It's Letters Like These....
... that keep Thrasher's Wheat going. Or, I was down on a frown when a messenger brought me a letter.
Dear Thrasher,
I just want to tell you that your website is great and I have been reading it ever since getting my first computer in 1997. I am a huge fan of Neil Young and I eagerly await my "Living With War" CD from Amazon this week.
Now I'll get to the jest of my letter to you. I can't believe you're getting so much hate mail because of "Living With War". This is a free country and there is something called feedom of speech. I have always been conservative and a Neil Young fan and there is room for both. Neil Young has always spoken to me in an apolitical way even when he sings political songs (ie Southern Man - I'm from Louisiana). At this point in time I'm very proud to be a Neil Young fan. Even though I voted for Bush not once but twice, my wife, son and I are disgusted with our President. His wrong decisions on many topics such as in education (I'm a
teacher), war in Iraq , and the ship port incident are making us feel like we made a terrible decision in voting for Bush.
I'll say it again, I'm proud to be a Neil Young fan and an American with many freedoms. Because Neil Young, Thrashers Wheat and my family think that our President is doing something terribly wrong does not make us Un-American. In fact, we're very much American.
Thanks again for all the hard work and don't get discouraged.

Sorry to nitpick, but I am just trying to maintain quality in the blogosphere, and hoping people don't discredit the good work done on this site by reading "jest" in front of it.

There's nothing to pick up on there, Thrasher has just posted a letter on this site from a supporter. Give it a rest, please, there's no need to pick a fight on every page.

I'm hesitant to respond to you because I think you are mentally ill. However, unlike you, most people do not take the time to create new blogger identites to spam others' blogs, as you have done, nor do they spend 5 hours a day posting hateful messages and harassing people on blogs, threatening to expose them or digging up comments someone has made on other blogs, or delusionally accusing one person for the posts of many. It is a sign that something is not right in your head.
Normal people simply do not engage in this sort of thing. Thrasher would not take the time to fabricate a letter that seems completely legitimate and consistent with how the vast majority of people feel about him and his excellent Neil Young Blog.
You are a very sad and close-minded person to think no teacher could ever vote for Bush, or to be so blind as to think Bush has no failed policies. I have no idea what you are talking about with respect to threats, but might I remind you that you have threatened others on numerous occasions.
If you have a problem with Thrasher, here is the simple solution: stop visiting his blog and stop subjecting us all to your illness and hateful comments. That would make us all very happy, and apparently would make you happy as well. Simple.
You first said you would stop posting, then you said you would cool down, but yet again you seem to have gone against your word.

Honestly, I think these guys (this guy) are/is either insane or having a laugh. And not a very funny one at that! The best is probably to just ignore them. This web site is absolutely brilliant, a real fountain of information on Neil Young. Thank you Thrasher. Say, does anyone have any inside knowledge on whether or not Neil will be touring Europe anytime soon? I live in Paris, and have only seen him once (solo tour 2003, and guess what? he was shouting down the Bush administration then, too; for all those who say he's changing his tone/coming too late). Living with War played at full volume backed by CSNY's trademark harmonies would be a real joy! Great album, great website Thrasher. Keep on Rockin'!

Thrasher -- it is sweet to see that democracy, bruised and battered, still reigns supreme in our land of the free and the home of the brave. Grateful that Neil has captured the essence of who we are ("Families, Flags of Freedom, Roger and Out"). All I have to say to those who are reluctant to get on with it and join the cause:
