Premiere of the "lost verses" of "Cortez The Killer".

 

Neil Young w/ Crazy Horse  opened the tour last night in San Diego with a 14 minute performance of Cortez which included two original verses not included in the original Zuma recording or at any time since. (thanks Hounds That Howell!)

Neil Young Archives Volume #3: September Release Planned

The Neil Young Archives Volume #3 release is now planned for September, per Letters to Editor | NYA.

The NYA box set, which has been delayed several times, was originally to be released in 2023, is expected to have 17 discs.

 

Neil Young Patron ZOOM Call - November 29, 2023

In November 2023, Neil Young gave a preview of the contents of the third edition of NYA, which is to cover 1976 to 1987, during a Zoom call with fans. The most comprehensive box in the archive series to date will contain unreleased songs, as well as, numerous films. A Blu-Ray format is expected.  

According to Neil, NYA Vol #3 will be the penultimate episode of his archives.

After a lengthy internal debate, it was decided to keep the total number of four volumes that has been planned since the beginning. The fourth and final box set will cover around 30 years.  

Producer Niko Bolas has already started mixing the final “NYA Vol. #4”.

Working to put together a pre-concert eve gathering for the Neil Young w/ Crazy Horse concert at [Corp Name] Amphitheater on Saturday, May 11 in Bristow, Virginia.

The rustie grain and friends fest would be in the Bristow-Gainesville-Manassas area of Virginia on Friday, May 10.

The video (Official Audio) is from Neil Young's upcoming album "Fu##n' Up" with Crazy Horse scheduled for release on April 20, aka 420.

The live concert album is from the Rivoli, Toronto, 4 Nov 2023, which featured a setlist of songs from the 1990 album "Ragged Glory" album.

NEW DATE: Neil Young w/ Crazy Horse - Ohana Festival, Dana Point, California, 2024-09-28

A new Neil Young concert date has been announced for Ohana Festival, Dana Point, California on Sept 28, presumably w/ Crazy Horse.

The Ohana Festival will headline Pearl Jam the day before and after the Neil gig.

 

Per comment by GDTRFB71:

[Eddie] Vedder traditionally plays solo or with his side band Earthlings at Ohana, but performed with Pearl Jam for the first time at a series of shows there in 2021.

Vedder has also guested on numerous occasions with Ohana artists such as Liz Phair, Johnny Marr and the Killers, so it wouldn’t be a major surprise if Young and Pearl Jam team up in some form that weekend.
