Welcome Back Thrasher ! Btw, the Minneapolis gig on August 29th was dropped from todays official announcement
Thanks Donal. Upside. Actually still on sabbatical but figured this news justified a break and reconnect.
Good luck on tix everyone.
Unfortunately we'll miss out on presales due to travel logistics. But still hope to see folks on the rod this summer.
If we could, we'd get pit tix for Charlotte, Richmond and Cleveland.
Let us know if extras are floating about.
Ah right. Nothing near me but may travel. The Gorge is always a bucket list venue. Maybe back to Shoreline. So many GD and Bridge School memories. Or lack there of if you pick up what I'm layin down. Good news.
Dublin for me, accommodation and flights sorted. Still hoping for another UK gig, still think Hyde Park Sunday 6th July is coming.
As usual the presales goes wonky. The Get Code button doesn't do anything, and now the Tickets page no longer displays the shows. Why does this need to be so nerve-wracking every time?
Same issue for me Darth Malt!
Yes, I have same issue. On checking my Subscription Plan, I show as "FREE" despite having been a fully paid up RUST member for years!
Did someone try this with another browser than Safari? I assume it's not a browser issue?
Wait, it tells me the same thing - "Free subscription". What the heck?
Lol. I'm in the same boat as @growl. Got up at 1AM PST for this, and I've had a paid membership since Day 1.
I'm trying on Google Chrome and getting nothing. No UK dates so trying my luck with Berlin. They are in my basket. Just need the code.
Not working on Firefox either.
Have you had any luck yet? I'm still getting subscribe when I click get code. And same with the free account, my renewal literally came out a week ago!
I don't even see tickets. @teeb1986, do you see a price range for Berlin tix? Curious what these are going to cost. Was hoping for pit.
Now recognizes me as having Rust account, but still not showing any tickets for sale. Grrrr.
Codes are up. Finally. I had the free subscription thing happening as well for a while and then suddenly it is working. Got me a ticket for Groningen. Something of a homecoming gig as I studied there for a year way, way back. Also going to see him at Glastonbury along with a lot of people who probably will not be that interested but a nice contrast. Festival and then bets seats in house. Roll on summer. Don't be denied!
Firefox still not working. But logged back in again in Chrome and worked.
Chrome now showing dates...
Suddenly working now. Golden circle was 180 euros. 311 quid for 2 tickets after conversion. Sheesh! I didn't see any other standing option. Cheapest seats were 88 euros
Finally able to see tickets. I could get a code for Brussels, but not Berlin. But I saw the prices. 180 Euros for pit. Nein danke. 88 Euros for the lowest price seats. Someone needs to tell Neil that using the number 88 is not a great idea, not least 2 days after neo-Nazis come in second in elections in Germany.
Got tix for Berlin!
Finally, ticket for Sweden secured!
Copenhagen tickets in the bag
Bought 2 Golden Circle for Brussels at 150 euro each. GA was 120 euro (I think) so relatively small premium. But no map or any other info so no real idea what we will get!
It took 80 minutes to get tickets for the Stuttgart show. That maybe is not even close to the digital frenzy that comes with today's stadium acts but still it is annoying. If this were to give the concert promoters an impression whether the market could carry more concert dates in different venues it would be ok, but if that's the case why don't they say so? I could imagine that the demand for Stuttgart tickets (being the nearest venue for Eastern France, Switzerland and also Austria) would be factor when adding a show somewhere closer to these countries. (Hint: München, Lörrach, Burg Klam and Salzburg in Austria, , Milano, Montreux in Switzerland, all of these have outdoor venues of the kind that would be needed and most have been used during previous tours)
Dublin front section was 99 euros. Berlin 180 euros. That's a crazy difference?!
Dublin ticket sorted.
Was online for Berlin sale 10am CET, , no ticket or codes in my NYA Ticket section, sent support an email, got a reply saying they are aware of the issues and would fix, which they did, got front standing for Berlin & later on, for Dublin, relatively straight forward in the end, i hope they sorted out any presale issues before USA people start on their presales, good luck all
Dublin is nearest venue to me and 99 euros for front section and 89 euros for other standing isn't as expensive as I had feared. Apparently Van Morrison is to be 'Special Guest' too. Going to have seriously consider going although standing only is putting me off. Gonna sleep on it before deciding.
PS - I had no problem just now getting pre sale code and access to tickets - hopefully they have fixed tall the gremlins now.
Does anyone know if there is seating at any of the venues in Europe?
Berlin Waldbhune is an amphitheatre, it has seats, a few different pricings, most expensive was €180, cheapest seat at the back were €88
"Earth Tour" without France... There's something wrong!
Pit is the cheap option for this one at $232.10 in Richmond, VA and $253.47 in Charlotte, NC. Down front is very expensive so I went with beside the soundboard for $243 per ticket. That had fantastic sound at Jiffy Lube last time in Virginia. $318.50 before fees for most of the seats in the front three sections in Charlotte (opening night of US tour) but the good ones aren't available half hour into presale.
Finally got my tickets for Jones Beach after a tough time - had similar issues re: free account, then problems with getting the presale code. Despite all this, and being timed out once I got the code and trying to pay and then losing the original choice of seats, I did it.
easy as pie getting tickets for Vancouver and only $120 Canadian each!!
Chicago tickets were easy for GA pit! Unfortunately, in my stress and haste I also accidentally bought tickets for the Jones Beach show first. 4 GA pit. Glad I caught my error. I'm not sure how to deal with this as I haven't had to resell before. Any suggestions? I want them to go to true fans for what I payed.

I had no problem or delay getting in at 10am Pacific time, but after a quick glance at the ticket prices (~$260, $120 lawn) I decided to go with my initial plan of not buying any tickets. I am going where the pavement turns to sand at the Deschutes River in Bend, OR. I got a VRBO cottage rental very close to the venue. It’s well within staggering distance, or walking distance for that matter.
In September I am dropping my kid off at her place in middle of OR and then heading straight to Bend. If any of you TW regulars want to meet up in Bend to say Hi, let me know. I am trying to get Thrasher / Thrashette & Dan to meet up with me in Bend. The feature of hearing our hero play a show for free w the Chrome Hearts is way too tempting. This will be a solo trip for me after dropp wife & I drop our kiddo off at college. But I don’t mind doing a show solo at all. I will be having a high old time! Gonna float down the river a ways the day of the show.
Neil Young! Long may you run! I pray we all make it where we want to be for this tour. Praying to the Rock Gods of course.

Here in WA state if you try to go listen to an outdoors music venue it is not possible, except at the Seattle Zoo. I will be there for Wilco listening from outside the venue.
If it's like coastal or last spring they can only be sold back through TM. There's a pop up msg that tells you this. It worked well for me. This means they can't be scalped

Got to watch out for the greedy hand, greedy hand. Live Nation venue? Seriously? “All in pricing”? Thnxs fer the presale? Hard Pass. Tapped/Tapping out.
Billy Idol to play Light up the Blues. Always a good time top notch guitar by Steve Stevens. Big Bridge School supporters. Heck a nice guy all around my friends met him Sunnyvale Sheraton. Fun.
Pits are still available for all 3 of those shows, fyi.
Does anyone know if more European/UK shows are likely to be added? Left in limbo currently whether to travel to Brussels or to wait and see
Tom
Yes I got a mail from NYA this morning with the presale code and at the bottom of the list of current dates it does say “More Europe and uk dates to be added shortly”.

It’s frustrating to plan when all the gigs are not announced. We were lucky because we already had plans to be in Ireland around that time (visiting from Texas), so it was easy enough to hop on board the castle show without knowing what the other choices might be. Anyway, it sure beats trying to see him here at home after how last year went down. Besides, outdoor events here are best avoided from July through September if possible. In 2024 he picked the one day that was not over 100 degrees in Austin, and an hour-long t-storm scuttled the whole thing. We were ready with our rain gear too! Let’s get some good vibes out there for mild and sunny weather in Dublin this year.
Had the same issue. Despite being a paying member since they started charging.. my account was showing as "free" and I couldn't get a code. Eventually got that sorted, and was able to secure tickets for Bethel, at a resonable price. Very pumped for live music.
Thanks hambone, fingers crossed then. Good to hear that. I wonder why I didn’t get that mail
Hyde Park UK has been announced today, support from Cat Stevens and Van Morrison, 11th July
London BST Hyde Park 11 July just announced. Tickets on sale 10am 5th March
I've had the benefit of seeing him twice in 2 years . Takes me to approx 50 shows. I see he's brought back song writing legend Spooner Oldham, 81. What happens if he can't continue for any reason. More cancellations? This will be a wait and see approach. If he gets to Shoreline with plenty of gas left in the tank will reassess then. I'm hoping for a good opener too. Not like last year's novelty act. Earthalullah ! Shake it up a little. Primus ends a tour in June. Bay Area guys. He played with them on HORDE. Claypool backed up Tom Waits w David Hidalgo at a BSB. Would be a inspired choice. Also a good fit on any night Old Black will suffer or delight in more hard earned wear. Los Lobos also available and always welcome. Just throwing out a few ideas. I hope this site is still a place where ppl can speak freely as long as there's no direct insults or rudeness. Live Music is Better. I don't own any archives but am undeniably a long time fan. Big Time. Nice version on YT from September. Hope it makes it regular rotation this year.
In case anyone is interested, I have some feedback direct from NYA which explains what went on and may help with any remaining problems for NYA annual members.
If for any reason you still haven't been able to buy a ticket, contact Customer Support directly.
The initial problems were caused by server overload which caused a software glitch which seemed to set subscriptions temporarily to "free". This was fixed inside an hour and delays got shorter going West as the time zones progressed. If as a result you took out an additional paid subscription, monitor the situation. You should not be charged. Contact NYA Customer Support if you have any difficulties with this.
The problems with access affected everyone, so the playing field stayed more or less level. NYA apologises anyway. Tickets are still available if you missed out for any reason.
NYA has no control over the "grey" non-available areas on seating plans. The Hollywood Bowl for example has yearly subscribers covering all concerts.
A small number who paid their subs in the past by Stripe may as a result of a Stripe bug not be flagged as paid subscribers. If in doubt, contact NYA.
Neil Young ought to learn that a European and U.K. tour should at least include one United Kingdom date. For all you Americans (and Neil Young ) out there who think that Dublin is in the United Kingdom, you are wrong
Hyde park is in the UK. Just announced today :)
Neil Young “ought to learn…?” That’s a condescending way of saying it. Are you trying to make sure Neil doesn’t come to the UK & offer more dates?

Apparently there will be a concert film shot by Daryl Hannah of the Coastal Tour in 2023. Also an accompanying live record documenting the Coastal Tour is announced. With Oceanside Countryside, the Bridge School Tribute album and also the Chrome Hearts album Talkin' to the Trees the avalanche season of releases makes a promising start for 2025.
I saw Coastal at the Santa Barbara Film Festival on Super Bowl Sunday. Both Daryl & Neil were there for a Q&A after the film. I figured maybe they would be there on that day, and maybe it would be easier to get in Super Bowl Sunday for just one film at the Festival. ( I think they may have done Q&A at all 3 showings?) As I was leaving the bathroom before the film, an older gentleman with a hat & a COVID mask was coming in the door, sort of hunched over, but I was able to see the "Earth" across his shirt, and I could not believe it. There were seats taped off behind me in the very last row & those ended up being for Neil & Daryl & others. Neil was sitting right behind two seats over for the whole film He came in with a big tub of popcorn.
It is a great film, and Daryl did a great job filming the performances and excellent shots of the venues. A lot of seems to be from the first two nights of the Ford, and also some from the Shell in San Diego and the Greek in Berkley. Maybe a few other shots from different venues, but mostly those three. The performances are all one camera shots. There are some soundcheck & tour bus clips in there also.
Coastal will play in theaters for one night on Thursday, April 17. The following day, Coastal: The Soundtrack will be released. Among the songs featured on the album are "Vampire Blues," "I Am a Child," "Expecting to Fly" and "Comes a Time." Fans can sign up at CoastalTheMovie.com for updates on where to screen the film
Another movie featuring a very recent tour is Across The Water, now added to NYA Movietone!
Boarding House movie is up now too! I watched that one instead.
NYA post today: love Earth tour will hopefully kick off with a free concert in Ukraine. In planning stages.
I’d like to think that sort of announcement would end complaints about ticket prices and focus on what really matters.

Neil Young to play in the Ukraine?! As being announced on NYA's front page Neil Young and his crew are exploring possibilities to have a free concert in the Ukraine. Rockin' in the Free World, indeed. I wished there would be more examples of American courage, more of these credible signs that some truths are held to be self-evident that can't be dismissed by a narcisstic clown and his sycophants.
Well, Tony, you beat me by a few seconds. And as Europeans we agree: This really matters. So apologies to Thrasher, who might get stirred up in his vacation, again.
Dionys, absolutely . This is on our doorstep.
On Tuesday a support group was collecting donations of clothes and kit at our local sports club - the day after the “dictator “ jibe“ - it was packed with people and the hall was covered in boxes of stuff. And this was in a pretty small town.
And I had an added surprise this weekend when my youngest son revealed he and some friends were going to the Brussels gig and he had bought me a ticket and reserved me a bed in their AirBnB. I wasn’t sure if I should feel old for not thinking of doing something like that myself or feel pride for my child rearing skills. Unexpected road trip ahead.
Thrasher you should go walkabout more often. It all starts happening when you’re away.
Hambone
Hyde Park tickets secured - took 15 mins and a quick swap of browsers (Firefox to Bing). I'll take that.
Also another thought on the Ukraine free gig - how planned was this? I can imagine the NYA and Lookout team arriving at work this morning say "He wants to go WHERE?!!!". Maybe we can crowdfund the band insurance policy.

HUGE, huge respect for Neil and the Chrome hearts for opening the tour in Ukraine and showing their support to a country ravaged by war and invasion for the last three years. Puts some so-called leaders to shame.
A half message of peace from Neil. The next half message of peace should be for a concert in Gaza. Which rocking in which free world?
Anyone having had a brain behind his eyes and between his ears on October 7, 2023 knows that this last opinion relates to a totally different story. Und lieber Kalle, als Deutscher solltest du das schon wissen. Falls nicht, darf ich daran erinnern, dass eines der Hauptziele des Angriffs aus Gaza seinerzeit eine friedliche Konzertveranstaltung war. Equaling the Gaza conflict with the Russian attack on Ukraine is almost a view as distorted as the current output from the White House.
We're back from our sabbatical break -- out beyond where the pavement turns to sand and way up high, from the mountains to the sea ...!
We will have much more to say in the future about our sabbatical break, as we prepare for yet another re-launch of the Thrasher's Wheat platform.
But in the meantime, we will only just say that it was somehow yet another trip of a lifetime ... in more ways than one.
Thanks so very much to all of our dear readers and supporters for all of your warm and loving comments which we're just returning to now. Hopefully, we can reply personally to everyone, but if not, please be assured that all of your messages of encouragement and support are truly appreciated.
so, what did we miss? any Neil news happen over past few weeks?!
wonder if another date will be added when Hyde Park goes on sale tomorrow? The other weekends are all full 3 days in a row including an act each weekend playing two consecutive days at each but the day after the chrome hearts on July 11th is currently free before ELO on the Sunday
Toront 8-19, Vancouver 9-8 both showing on Ticketmaster pre-sale 3/6
See ya at Woodstock!
