Micah Nelson: Possible Alternate for a Neil Young and Crazy Horse Concert Tour | Austin Lifestyle

Both Billy
Talbot and Nils Lofgren had previously commented on Micah Nelson's
joining Crazy Horse in interviews for the album "World
Record". Since Bruce Springsteen is planning a 2023 tour, Nils
Lofgren's E-Steet Band commitment makes him unavailable to
tour with Neil Young.
Lastly, the only concert scheduled for Neil Young is for Willie Nelson's 90th Birthday Tribute in April.

We need a new wonder drug that allows people to understand why progressive arthritis could result in the decision of deeply missed rock guitarists to put a definite end to their career due to the fact that they physically cannot play guitar anymore for longer than a few minutes.
In 2021 he (Frank Sampedro) revealed that he retired because of arthritis in both wrists. "It became painful for me to be on the road. When we were on that last tour [in 2014], I was rolling down the road with both of my hands in ice buckets and one foot in an ice bucket, every night."

Obviously Nils was always going to be hard to pin down with his Springsteen commitments so this is a great plan B
