Thanks to my friends in the First Nations.
Thanks to my crew, Thanks to all of the Canadians who supported our efforts to enable justice and truth for the First Nations living in Canada. Our journey across the great expanse of Canada revealed the beauty of the people and the land once again and brought back the old feelings of home. To the leaders of Canada I say keep our word. Live up to the truth. Honour the treaties. To the foreign and domestic oil companies in our north, I say clean up your mess. Stop complaining. Talk to our First Nations and come to agreements to allow what you plan to do on their land, as it is represented in the treaties our forefathers reached with our First Nations.

Thanks Neil! Canada is a great country, and showing leadership in both social issues and environmental ones is the only thing that will keep our planet alive and sustainable. Honoring the treaties is a great cause for all living things....
I do not have dollars to change the world .
I do have the privilege , the honour and responsibility to vote for change as my forefathers have bestowed this right upon me .
I am but one voice of a proud working class peasant who becomes quite angry when folks claiming Canadian citizenship insult this right .
You have nerve to call yourself a Canadian , and preach to those that have only the vote to exercise change !
Tell us the facts Neil , when did you last vote , live and work in this fine Dominion of Canada Eh ?
Until then your foreign opinion is irrelevant in this sovereign Dominion of Canada .

@John Connelly - A "true Canadian" would respect Neil Young's right to speak freely his opinion.
NY's point is that a "true Canadian" would Honor the Treaties.
So ask yourself: who, in fact, is not the "true Canadian" here?
...sigh... attacking Neil's citizenship?? As if this somehow has anything at all to do with the central issue.. Mr. Young is a citizen of the world.

That's all the doubters have: attack the messenger not the message.
They know Neil speaks the truth to power and are afraid. Very afraid of the "rich hippie rock star". :)
Must be an Americana thing , to preach to others and call all those that may disagree as " doubters " .
