I've seen the Berlin show and this one yesterday. Berlin, in comparison, feels like a mere warm-up.
Yesterday was big. They played almost three hours and seemed to heat up more and more as the time went by.

Powderfinger was rearranged with all verses right in a row and then a solo in the end. WLAG was big and the interlude with the woodstack no rain chant was a nice touch.

But.. throw in anything after wlag and the rain chant. needle, hog, old man, helpless. It would have all worked well. But hole in the sky for me is a song, that really doesnt deserve to be played every night. Its too simple, I wont forget it now... ;)
But then, Red Sun was truly beautyful. He sounded so fragile, so moving. His guitar, so gentle. It was one of the highlights of the evening. HOG then is what it is. Altough there is so many so songs, that could be played instead.. its still nice to hear it.
Singer without a song is another not-must-have for me. But, oh well.. ;)

Ramada inn was intense, as always. its a new classic and the heart of the show.

Neil seemed to be really into the show up from red sun. I dont know, how spontaneous Sedan Delivery was, but it was BLISTERING! Mr Soul was heavy as heavy could be and was played in a longer version with the first verse repeated in the end. Hey Hey was good and I was happy to not to have the "dont say its over" chant, but a very long jetplane-in-a-thunderstorm ending. They shredded it to pieces.

The first encore, he triggered a "re-ac-tor-day" for me. The record is running up and down since breakfast. Surfer Joe!!Great! :)

He concluded with some heartfelt words in the end. I dont know, it was bit too cheesy for me. "Sleep well, have nice dreams. Dont forget anything on your seats..." Neil, you got such a good humour going, dont forget it now ;)

Ralph had almost already left his drumkit, when Neil launched into ETKIN, which was a really nice thing to end the show.

One personal thing: Ive seen Neil 5 times now, and still haven't seen him play Cortez. I have high hopes for August 16, where I will see him at Pukkelpop festival in Belgium.

That's probably the best set list I've seen since the 1987 Prisoners Of Rock 'n' Roll tour. Impeccable.

So cool to see Sedan Delivery in there. Agree about Red Sun. Now think about Emmylou paying a visit for that song. They'll both be at the same festival in Ontario in early September. Just sayin.

Brilliant setlist, the show seems to get better as it progresses. The video from the night before (Luxembourg show) shows they've rounded up Fuckin' Up a little bit, so it's now both funny and musically more interesting (repeated verse at the end).

Yesterday, Fuckin' Up was omitted, but I'd take Sedan Delivery and Surfer Joe any day over F'Up!

Can't wait for Rome, my first and probably last time I'll hear Crazy Horse play live.

Can you die from pure happiness? From the first chords of Love and Only Love I alternated between a foolish grin and real tears, just from being able to experience the Crazy Horse sound live again and opening up to the music and whatever would come. How lucky we are to have these guys still around to play their music for us. The most scorching version of Mr. Soul I've heard so far. Mind-blowing feedback finales. The greatest... delivery of Sedan Delivery I've heard. The happy grin on Poncho's face as he flips off the audience (apparently no Fu*#in' Up needed).

Curiously, one of my traveling companions seemed to be turned off by the jams, feedback, and the Horse sound in general, echoing the sentiments from some of the more confused concert goers from the past tours. Oh well, to each his own. I can't believe anyone from last night's show could say that the Horse is not still in its prime after all these decades. Incredible.

After seeing Neil live ten times now, a live Hurricane still eludes me...

Cheesy for some, I'll hug my kids tonight when I get back home and tell them Neil wished them good night and that all their dreams would come true.

Unknown, you must be my kin. I can relate to EVERYTHING you said. Agreed Ramada Inn is the core of the tour. And Singer W/O a Song is lame, and Hole in the Sky is too slight. And the personnel spiel is too cheesy by half. And would love to hear Cortez. And Red Sun was so fragile and a kind of launching point. And EKTIN is a nice ending. Always appreciate an honest take on things.

Saw the Horse first time in '87 and was blown away.

Have been to about 10 Neil shows so far, out of which 3 from the 2013 Alechemy tour (Amsterdam, Brussels, Cologne) and was blown away again!.

I went 3 times cause I love the Horse and I'm not too sure there will be another NY&CH tour ever again. :-(

It was good to see some changes in the setlists of these 3 gigs, so I got all of them (Hurricane, Fuckin Up, Surfer Joe, Welfare Mothers, Sedan Delivery, Comes a time) :-)

Would have liked DBTR, Cortez and RITFW, but have luckily seen these before (1987, 2001, 2009). And Piece of Crap of course! (2001)
