NEW PREVIEW: Neil Young Journeys Film
A new preview of Neil Young's Journeys film is now available.
Directed by Jonathan Demme, Journeys captures Neil Young's 2011 solo tour to Toronto's Massey Hall. Concert footage of the Massey Hall performances is interspersed with scenes from a road trip through Ontario. Driving a 1956 Ford Crown Victoria, Young visits the rural town of Omemee, where he spent a key part of his formative years, and reminisces about his former neighbors. As he drives past the dramatically changed landscape, Young fondly embraces his memories of the past.

Wow! Looks amazing! When is it out on DVD/Blu-ray?
In the Fall of 2005 in Orange County, NY, we attended a fund raiser for fallen 911 firefighter, Dennis P. McHugh http://dennispmchugh.org/ . They had a comedy show and silent auction for items donated by people in our various communities and the proceeds used to build Piermont Library http://piermontlibrary.org/ At the auction, I won two press passes to a media screening event for Neil Young's soon to be released movie, "Heart of Gold," http://www.heartofgoldmovie.com/ which was directed by Jonathan Demme. According to this interview, http://vimeo.com/35612928 , the two (Demme and Young) first worked together on the movie "Philadelphia" (starring Tom Hanks and Denzel Washington) and subsequently worked together on four more movies including "Heart of Gold." Anybody who knows me knows Neil Young has always been my favorite musical artist and since it was a high profile screening in the Viacom Building that housed the offices of MTV in Times Square, I was eager to bring my wife and two daughters. Mr. Demme's office assured we were good to go and accommodated my entire family. So we arrived a little early as a tsunami of people just getting off work streamed from the building as we nestled into our seats along with "the media." There must have been close to one hundred reporters critiquing the film's New York City debut http://neilyoungnews.thrasherswheat.org/2006/02/heart-of-gold-film-reviews.html The lights went out, the screen lit up and the sound system thundered nicely featuring this four star production and we had a real nice time. Several days later around 9pm on a Saturday night our home phone rings and it's Jonathan Demme! I couldn't believe it, he was calling to ask how we liked the movie! I thought to myself, wow! What a class act this guy is... and that's mah cool story bro!
ooops... how do I delete that?
So, when's Trunk Show coming out?
Where's Trunk Show already?! Hell, show it on PBS or something. Sheesh
Trunk Show is tentatively scheduled for Archives Volume 17 with an estimated release date of
2043.Hopefuly I'll live until 90 so I can see it....... but then who knows if I'll have enough hearing left to enjoy it.
I refuse to acknowledge Journeys until I first get to see Trunk Show.
driving around in a 56 Crown Victoria? How did he get his car out there? Shipped it out, or drove it? Wonder how much fuel he used for that? Wouldn't a rental car have sufficed? Yes, Neil's got Mother Nature on the run in 2012...
