Flannel shirts were something we wore all time & suddenly this guy shows up wearing one on an album cover.
Junkyards were pretty taboo until we saw Neil climbing around one.
Junkies were also pretty taboo until Neil started writing about them.

The cultural "norm" was tucking in your shirt tail (flannel or cotton) back in the 60s. Leaving your shirt tail hanging out was considered disrespectful and deviant! A punk, sort of like Marlon Brando and James Dean although by today standards, they were pretty tidy.
My 5 things that remind me of Neil are : inn- er -esting (interesting )I love how he says that word,
