Update on LincVolt Progress: Balance Work
An update on LincVolt progress from LincVolt Gazette (via Under The Hood):
Lincvolt is at the alignment shop being balanced over the weekend and will return Monday for a couple more days of work before getting on a carrier and going south to AVL in Orange county. After Thanksgiving, Bruce Falls at AVL will install the High Voltage system and test it on the AVL Dyno between Christmas and New Year’s day. When Lincvolt returns to Brizio Street Rods it will only be for a short time. During that time the car will be made ready to paint at Camilleri Body Works in Sacramento. Paint and chrome will be done there, and then Lincvolt will be ready to re-install the new High Voltage system for the last time, either at Brizio or AVL, depending on AVL’s decision. We are getting closer to the goal. Seeing Lincvolt roll out of Brizio’s shop last week, a full year after thermal runaway, is a testimony to the enduring energy behind this project. Better and stronger than ever before, Lincvolt will soon be ready to take to the highways of North America. We will all be there with the car on the journey with live streams from across the country on Lincvolt.com
We will keep you posted!
The Lincvolt team thanks you for your support. Hold on, its going to be good!
Thanks k!

"thermal runaway"? George Orwell lives.
LincVolt is a great example of why Neil stands above his peers. He has put his money and his time where his mouth is and tried to actually help SOLVE a problem instead of just writing a preachy song and going home.
I've watched too many rock stars (including C/N) who rail at energy companies while selling "plasticware" and touring the country in big tour busses. We all use energy to listen to their music and nd they use huge amounts to put on concerts. Their livelihood depends on all this "evil" energy, and they seem to have no sense of irony.
Saying oil or nukes is a problem is easy. We can all do that. Actually trying to figure out how to get all of us off of it is harder. Neil is the rare guy who steps up and tries to find another answer.
Rolling Stone just published their new 100 Greatest Guitarists Of All Time list. The previous one dates from 2003 and old Neil was at number 83. Guess what happened... he learned to play old black in six years and now our number one hero is at number 17 !!!!!
Run Linc Volt Run!
This is great news
God bless Neil for his idealism and determination
HOLY LEAPFROG BATMAN - 17!!!
I thought the prior rating was more than a bit understated for Neil Young. I'm sure he didn't put out too many 'new licks' to acheive his rise towards the top. Either way, we all know how talented, amazing and unique his playing is, regardless of his technicle prowess or not. Becuse, after all, sound matters!
If eleven was the rock hard standard for sound, seventeen suites him just fine especially from what I heard this last tour...
Wwwait one fucking minute here -- Pete Townshend is no. 10 and Keith Richards who can't play shit is no. 4?
Jeff Beck should be in front of Keith and BB should in front of Eric. Pete should be sandwiched between the Jimi's. Nice sandwich.
Oh the insanity!
1 Hendrix
2 BB
3 Duane
4 Eric
5 Pete
6 Jeff
7 Jimmy
8 Van Halen
