From Bridge School Benefit to Feature Arcade Fire, Foo Fighters, Mumford Sons | Rolling Stone Music By Andy Greene:
Neil Young and his wife Pegi founded the Bridge School in 1986 when they became frustrated over their inability to find an adequate school for their son Ben. The annual concert helps raise much-needed funds for the school. "Neil came up with the acoustic format," Pegi Young told Rolling Stone in 2010. "It was genius. Nobody was doing that at the time. This was before MTV Unplugged or any of that. It was also a good way to keep the costs down and do something a little edgy for a lot of people and really take them out of their comfort zone."

With all the 'talk' of the Buffalo Sprinfield it's kinda hard to believe it's that time again for the bridge concert. You know how time fades away.

Time will stand still when Jenny performs Born Secular. The only question is when and how will she do it: solo and heartbreakingly sweet or with a heavenly group-for-the-ages (Neil, Butlers, Diana et al) providing harmonies...with Eddie leading the kids along on stage.

Saluting two giants of the medical world who recently left us:

Maurice M. Rapport was a godfather of modern biochemistry. The treatment of numerous horrible and debilitating illnesses would not be possible without his life's work.

Arnold Miller was a pioneer in the treatment of children with autism. The Miller Method has guided thousands of children and their families out of the darkness and into life.

Thank you Dr. Rapport and Dr. Miller for your life's work and sacrifices.

I came that you may have and enjoy life and have it in abundance, until it overflows.

Tony reminds me a lot of Johnny Cash. I love his voice and have been fortunate to see his great performances, including one with Ralph Sharon as pianist. I'm sure it will be incredible when he performs at the Bridge Concert.

Back sometime in the 90's, I saw Rosemary Clooney perform at Symphony Hall. She was at her peak and the show was amazing. Ms. Clooney told stories almost as well as she sang, and she talked about her long friendship with Tony Bennett.

"I've known him the longest of anyone...even longer than Bing" she said. "We came up together as kids." She talked about starting out as singers with the big bands, and how their paths would always cross. Then she said there's someone in the audience that I'd like to introduce.

"Antonia Bennett is here tonight. She's Tony's daughter and she's my goddaughter". The crowd melted and Antonia shyly stood was an amazing moment. The greatest girl singer of the 20th century and the daughter of one of the greatest male singers.

Rosemary's daughter also had a famous singer as her godmother. Her name was Billie Holiday.

@Mr H - great story on Tony B. We're very much looking fwd to seeing Tony & all the acts.

Arcade Fire acoustic should be real interesting.

As the 25th anniv. of BSB, hopefully some surprises and performance hookups!
