Neil Young Photos Needed for Upcoming Book
The author of an upcoming book on Neil Young is looking for photos from fans for use in the book.
These would include anything from concert shots, private shots, to any cool memorabilia they might be able to scan and submit as a jpeg. Submissions would be uncompensated, but fans submitting pictures that are used would be fully credited in the book.
If you have something to submit, contact Glen Boyd at alkiguy1@q.com

That's a very generic request. Is there a timeframe that they are after? Concert shots or pre/post concert shots?

Fair question Stringman.
As we understand it, the author is after really anything. Early Neil to late Neil.

Hey Stringman,
Glen Boyd here. I am the author of the book, which is called Neil Young FAQ.
This is part of Backbeat Books "FAQ Series" which also includes Fab Four FAQ (about the Beatles) and U2FAQ, among other titles. The books are basically fact guides to all things related to the artist -- history, etc.-- with a specific focus on the music.
Neil Young FAQ will be out next year, and my deadline for the publisher is basically right now. So what I am looking for are original pics of Neil Young from all periods sixties up to the present, and from all aspects, be it live, in the studio, or just candid shots. I am also looking for unique memorabilia, but original photos are the main need.
I am delivering the manuscript to Backbeat this week, so time is of the essence here. But with pictures, I also have some leeway with the publisher in regard to the time -- especially if they are really good ones.
Anything used for the book will be fully credited to the source, but would not be financially compensated. Basically the rule of thumb here is the more unique or original it is, the more likely it would be included in the book.
I prefer digital copies in jpeg or gif format, but will also accept hard copies to be scanned if that is your preference (this is something we would arrange privately after making initial contact via email).
I am also looking for a marquee name with unique ties to the artist to write a forward for the book.
I would love to take a look at anything you have, so if you are interested please contact me at alkiguy1@q.com.
Many thanks!
Glen Boyd
