Grand Opening of Neil Young's General Store
As we noted earlier, the official website neilyoung.com has a whole new look and shakey feel.
Gone is the "rusted out garage" design and in with a more user friendly interface. What made the old retro flash design cool was that you had to learn how to navigate the site and search around. It was really just getting us practiced to use the Archives Bluray navigation of hunting around for hidden tracks.
While it's too early to say whether the design will have hidden track/bonus features, it does seem to continue the tradition of exploring to uncover hidden easter eggs. But we have yet to find any easter eggs or feathered clips after spending considerable amount of time hunting. Hopefully, easter eggs will be an added feature in the future. Maybe an easter egg pre-sale link like with the old site or something...
Anyways, check out Shakey's General Store.
We liked some of the poster selections, in particular -- a few of which looked familiar. ;) The Theater feature looks like it might be an interesting area in the future for product rollouts that won't have to rely on un-reliable fan sites.
In the meantime, we'll just keep on searching for an easter egg of gold ...
ps - be sure to take the slow ride down the ranch road for maximum impact.

Beautiful. Well done. Think I could use a little help Thrasher. Please tell me how to navigate to the 180 grams 12 inch of "Grey Riders" b/w "Southern Pacific"... I really appreciate your help. Thanks
I found it annoying!
I went to the dvd page and looked at one dvd, to look at other dvds I had to back out to the main page and each time I had to watch and listen to the main page re-load.
Same thing on the music page.
What gives, am I doing something wrong?
Annoying!
What an improvement over the 'Garage' site that has been the home page to Neil's site since the beginning. I just love the detail, right on down to that Divco delivery truck parked beside the building. Speaking of trucks, whatever became of the 'Neil's Used Cars'store where Neil was going to start selling off some of his collection of antique cars? Anyhow, 'Good Job' to whoever was responsible for designing the new site!
The update is cool. But where's the old stuff? I need a new ZUMA shirt
